question about vaal mechanics -- i know that vaal can cause a unique affix to reroll below or above the normal max range. Does it modify the existing roll, or does it randomize the roll and then decide to push it up or down? For example, if you were vaaling an astramentis, ingenuity etc. could a low roll vaal into an above normal range roll, or does it need to start at near max in order to roll over max?

depends on the specific combo, but high rolls of relic quantity are very desirable, especially when paired with a useful prefix. Honour resist can be decent for high rolls. Movespeed is good as long as it has a useful suffix. Merchant price and merchant choices can be good, especially if together.

so i guess it depends a bit on what you mean by valuable. are you talking sell for a couple ex or are you talking 50 ex plus or like 1 div plus?

I just pushed my LA deadeye to 100k(hideout) dps because I had nothing else to do but could steamroll T15+ with sub 50k
