Getting IIR inevitably means losing combat strength, just the nature of the beast. But you dont NEED a lot to get use out of it, even 30-50% is enough to significantly increase your income which will help you afford better gear to afford losing more stats to IIR and so on.

It's one of the breakpoints for gems, where a variety of new skills become available that were not at level 13.

Can't say I can think of many skills there that people would want locked in at 14, I imagine most people would want to level up those gems as far as possible.

Probably best to just sell the uncuts, as people are only looking to get the associated skill asap to get their build rolling.

Right. Not to get too complex, but basically the "suffix" modifiers are where all the really bad stuff (the modifiers that make the map much harder usually) live.
Prefixes are a mix of good stuff and "more monsters" modifiers mostly.

If you're on PC you can hold alt to see the prefixes and suffixes on an item.

If it's already got 3 suffixes on that waystone, you're probably only helping yourself by spending exalts on it.

If it's already got 3 prefixes instead, you're adding difficulty and waystone drop chance by exalting it.

It doesn't look as nice, you'll end up with a bunch of redline stuff but the item will still work for pob purposes

Eg: You'll get the item stats from above the implicits in your copy, but PoB will not recognize them and just ignore them.

and will a stun charm stop enemies that stagger me for a short moment

it would depends of your build but in end game most of the "stun" are freeze so if you only have 1 charm slot this would be the generic one i think (also investing a bit in stun threshold is easier than in freeze threshold.
if you have a second slot i like to put a poison or a loot one depending of the map i run.

my issue rn is that i can kill most things quickly, but if i end up surrounded enemies seem to stagger me multiple times in a row with normal attacks
its just multiple very short staggers, so i assume its stun?

as for mods, i like auto reload or increased charge gained and reduced charge consumption or increased duration

evasion helps, they don't stagger/stun if they don't hit you

Helmet and chest? Most of those build are using morior for a ton of resistance from chest slot
