Nothing we can do about those uncut gem for now, cant even reforge upgrade tier, just sitting in stash taking up space eventually dont even want to pick them up anymore.
For now you either trade for it or just wait till you reach area level the drop them. Dont remember exactly when lv3 uncut support starts to drop but it will be plentiful later.

Idk how much time you want to invest in looking stuff up beforehand, but when people are making a build, they usually start with a skill or combo they want to do, then pick a class/ascendancy that complements said skill/combo. So really, in poe, you're more picking a build and then the class is just one dial you can adjust within said build plan

Like, if you want to do a lightning arrow bow build, you can do that fairly well with ascendancies from ranger, warrior, mercenary, sorceress, and monk

Maybe even witch, too

You can find something that looks fun to play, then find the character/build that best enables it.

Imo, and this might sound crazy, but players shouldn't pick a class until level 10. Give everyone a mini skill tree in the middle that's their "beginner" tree and make the nodes really shit, like 4% damage is a good node on it. Have the branches be stuff like "Projectile damage", "melee damage", "Elemental spell damage", "minion damage", etc. Then when they put a point into that branch, give them weapons associated with that. They picked melee? Hand em a quarterstaff, a 2h mace, a 1h mace, and a shield. Let them cut a skill for any of those weapons.

When they get to level 10, show them the cliff notes for the ascendancy trees for each class and an option to view them in full detail. Then when they pick their class they refund all their beginner tree nodes and can put those 9 points into the real tree out of the gate

I would save it. At level 10 you can likely get upgrades to your gear in the form of magic (blue) items

You shouldn't need to regal gear to fish for upgrades yet

The mods you want on gear are movement speed on boots and as much life and resistance as possible on other pieces (other than your weapon(s) )

1. Weapon set points are not bonus points. If you have 50 total skill points and 10 weapon set points, you can allocate them like 50-0-0, 40-10-10, 45-5-5, etc. You CANNOT "convert" the 10 weapons set points and go 60-0-0. You're not missing out on any skill points if you don't use weapon set points.

2. You need unspent skill points to allocate weapon set points. Simply click on either weapon set 1 or 2 in the upper right of the tree to start/stop allocating points to that set.

3. In your inventory, you can see a little I and II above your weapon slots. Click between these or press X on keyboard to swap between weapon sets. While you have weapon I equipped, your passive tree uses the weapon set I nodes (colored orange). While you have weapon II equipped, your passive tree will use the set II nodes (colored green).

4. You can set things up so that your weapons automatically swap based on the skill you use. Open the skill panel, click the little arrow next to the dps indicator, and scroll to the bottom. You'll see check boxes for weapon sets I and II. If, for example, you want to make it so you automatically swap to weapon set II for Ice Nova, and every other skill uses weapon set I, then check only set II for ice nova, and check only I for every other skill. When you use ice nova, you'll swap to set II. When you use anything else, you'll swap back to I and stay there until you use ice nova or manually swap back with the X key

I always like to explain weapon set points as being able to "split" your real passive points in half, and split those halves between your two weapons.
The number of "Weapon Set Points" you have is the number of times you're allowed to "split" passive points, and you have to have real passive points to be able to split them.

You have more control over what you wish to engage with, the systems feel a lot more rewarding and you have more angles to progress towards and even more ways to challenge your build for even better loot.

Despite the devs saying "mf is unchanged from predecessor" they left out 1 crucial thing: PoE1 has eldrich altars, they provide massive rarity and quantity bonuses in exchange for hefty downsides which raises the efficient magic finding ceiling so high that it becomes basically irrelevant until very late endgame/coordianted group farming and even then, we have a lot of mechanics which are unaffected by MF and print out currency like candy.

as for monks, mixing doesn't really matter 100 lightning + 100 cold damage is still 200 damage

I don't know if I would sacrifice any meaningful dmg for them but I can say that max res is often more valuable than you would think. Basically res becomes more powerful the more you accumulate. It has to do with the math behind percentage based reductions. 10 % from 65 to 75 are worth way more than the 10 % from 0-10 res, if I understood correctly. So in my understanding it gets even better when you get over 75 max res.

I am not an expert so take it with a grain of salt but I would prefer es% most of the times because of the amount of physical oneshots you encounter. But it could be a close call sometimes. Depending on the amount of ES and the amount of res you are comparing...

According to ggg Exalts are decreasing in value rapidly. To me it makes sense, because the league is so far, that a lot of the people running t15 maps or higher and the drop rates of ex are pretty high. so more exs are on the market than a week ago.
But it also doen't make sense in this regard that they should be more divs on the market too. Maybe divs were undervalued before and now the market corrects itself?

It can offer some positive outcomes if you're lucky. It can also reroll modifiers and make it way worse if you get unlucky. You'd have to look up the corruption outcomes on the poe2 wiki (not the fextralife one) or Poe2db.tw and weigh the options yourself
