Getting stunned means you're gonna get hit by lots of stuff in a row instead of moving around to avoid hits like you (hopefully) usually do

You can play in the existing one. The higher level person will be down scaled to match the zone level I think. You can adjust that option in the menu. If you DON'T downscale, the lower level player(s) will get basically no xp as it will all go to the high level player

hey, don't spend exalts, chaos or higher in crafting, instead try buying items with 1 regal per item. the most important items you can spend an exalt on, like a weapon for example. look at the leveling items on maxroll for example, the easiest ways to are pretty much widowhail or other bows and pillar of the caged god with strength items
just get some reisistances and some form of defence, be it armour, ES or a lot of life

armour in case you use that unique chest that makes armour work for elemental defence

there are dozens upon dozens of builds for each one. Most builds in poe are focused on a skill or combo first, then an ascendancy is selected that complements the focus the most. I think you're approaching classes/ascendancies a bit backwards

I say this as someone who went chrono on EA start and was disappointed heavily by its options.

The cycling cast speed node feels awful. You get nothing 66% of the time. The cooldown nodes are cool but you have practically no spells in the game to abuse it with.

mage isn't that bad while levelling. The issue with her is you are very reliant on skill combos more so than other classes. That and your weapon like everyone else. So if your weapon sucks or you dont use good combos, your damage is pitiful in campaign

levels the spirits themselves, which aren't in the tooltip or skill details windows (yet?) It's the only spirit gem that makes minions, so the interface isn't written for it yet

Farm some areas and level up, try to get better gear, spirit gems can drop naturally so you might get lucky. Reconfigure passives or gems to optimize.

Cruel; your minions should be hitting hard enough to force phase 2 almost immediately,

normal; you need to survive his aoe and play dodgeball until your minions respawn maybe have to do this 2x before phase 2, a bit more difficult in normal.

Also are you running armour or ES?

in a more general sense, your odds at at a "good" roll go down as the item level goes up. Because the item can roll a higher tier of that affix (higher numbers) but can also still roll all the way down to T1 of that affix. Items that drop with the (Tier X) label are supposed to roll better, but GGG hasn't clarified how exactly that works, other than higher tiers of that dropping the some lower level affixes/tiers from appearing

Jamanra is mostly physical and lightning. Topaz charm can be helpful if you don't have much lightning resist

I'm saying that higher level items come with the expectation of needing higher numbers and you're increasing the varience on what those numbers are as the item level increases. Lower level items have limited roll ranges and are usually going to be functional for you at that low level. High level items can roll +3 dex, 10% damage, etc, and be worthless for a high level character
