at that level you want to cap your elemental resist and start finding chaos res - they are so dang hurt.
there are very little life on tree in poe2, so you want to get them as much as possible on gear as well
if you not in trade league, you gotta use the currencies anyway, light a candle to the RNG-Goat and slam.
sometime you get crap result, it is what it is 😆

if you're a witch, just take your time and you should be fine

don't stand too close so you can see his attacks, but also pay attention to the aoe effects on the arena

The main part you're really worried about is at the end, making sure not to get trapped in too small of a space by the lightning walls.

For the rest, it's mainly about learning the attacks. It's all dodgeable 🙂

w/e you feel like you need more, check the skills and see what they do, some of those skills are there for the effects and not the dmg amount, so you don't need to level them up

if you are following a guide from maxroll, normally they have what gems you should always try to level up and which aren't needed

but this is somenthing you should learn for yourself by reading the skills and what a +1 level would do to them

since that way if you hit this wall in another build/season you will already know what to do

Depends where you are in game, during campaign res cap isn't as important. Chest piece can be kinda junky and you'll be ok. Early map range and continue through end game, you obviously want res cap. Just depends how you want to achieve it. Best chest piece gives most eva, with the node that gives x2 chest eva, maxing out eva on chest is probably meta. That means skipping on a big life mod too

Hey all, another new player here 👋🏻 Diablo 2 is the greatest game of all time, imo (yes, I'm over 40). I skipped playing D3, played D4 for the first 15 months or so, but I just don't like the direction it's going.

Never played PoE, but paid the $30 for PoE2. It's pretty fun so far, reminds me a lot of D2. But there are certainly parts I haven't explored yet.

I'm following a Lightning Arrow guide on Maxroll. I'm in A2 now, lvl 27, and am in Keth against lvl 25 enemies. I keep getting killed, and playing it super safe and going slowly is taking way too long. I think I need better equipment.

What's the best way to do that? Should I go back and kill mini-bosses over and over and hope for better rare drops? Everything I have now is rare, except for jewelry, but I guess it could all be better. Just not sure how to get stronger since I'm kinda stuck in the campaign where I am now.

honestly, remember that being higher level than your map will fuck your drops, so try to always stay in the same level range or under if possible

you can use a few exalts on trade site and buy pretty insane gear for your level, if you don't have that, you can always go back and try to farm a random boss or mini boss for more currency, but the rates aren't great iirc

1st playthrough is very difficult. You're missing out on potential upgrades, lack currency if you want to buy stuff. What helps the most in early campaign is your weapon. Having good dps and main skill makes it easier. Try to get a rare weapon with good flat damage mods. Put a couple slots on it and add runes with flat element damage

Depends how far along you are with game. Very early game, flat dmg boosts are best. Levels don't factor as much. When you're skills are like 15+, getting a +3 weapon can be a lot more dps

I dont know where the drop argument came from, never heard of it.
the aspect that the level does affect you is exp gain. If you too high level, low level mob dont give you much exp or none at all.
as far as drop goes, higher item level does not means better - it simply means it have a chance that it can roll higher tier modifiers
it can still roll the shittiest tier even if the iLVL is 100, that's how poe works.

It's an XP penalty if youre too much higher or lower than the zone level. The drops will match the level of the zone you're in. Within a couple levels doesn't matter. If you're squishy, check your resists. Life and resists should be top priority on gear. Disenchant or salvage gear for currency, use that currency on gear, check vendors, gamble at the NPC, socket runes, whatever you need to do to get those resists up. If you're not doing enough damage, check your weapon and make sure your skill gems and supports synergize with each other.

I'd recommend having cold resist at at least 40%, maybe with a sapphire charm as well. Don't get hit by his shit and get his hp to zero. If your damage is subpar, it's likely an issue with your weapon and/or your gem setup. What's the issue, exactly? Are you dying too much, not doing enough damage, or both?
