depends what your build is. Generally, as a witch, if you’re spell-based or particularly minion-based, you care a lot about weapon base type like rattling sceptres and usable minion/allies mods and +# to level of minion skill gems

So, I'm new and I'm not sure this is a bug, but I think so because it's really straight forward.
I got to cruel act 1 and got the next level spirit gem as quest reward.

Sweet, except it requires 60 spirit and I didn't have that. So I spent a ton of time and about 8 exalts crafting a spirt amulet to get enough spirit. Sweet, I now have 76 spirit and nothing using it to reserve anything. Except, when I put the cast on shock for 60 spirit gem and go to activate it... I get the error "Not enough spirit"

Can't speak for invoker, but as blood mage you need strength investment, even if you're only using int spells. It's the best way to take advantage of life remnants, helps a ton with survivability and opens up a variety of gear you'll need for survivability
