Deal is I feel like the fist acendacy node for blood mage and your only option is more of a debuff than anything without the nodes after, was looking forward into making an infinity duration curse and chaos debuffs, but for that I have to get out of act 2 realistically without an ascendancy as I don't see why I should activate the node... it's super grindy and not enjoyable so I just want to start from 0 and go for an infernalist and invest in some elemental skill at that not just minions and chaos, and doing all that with respecs feels overwhelming.

Also I don't know if I can change to Infernalist without creating a new character

If you dodge roll more then once in succession you are doing it wrong. Moving out of something is actually quicker then dodge rolling because after a roll you are slowled slightly. So if you can always move out of the way instead of rolling. Dodge rolls are for an "oh shit I need an Iframe" moment

Like a chronomancer can spend points in its ascendency to get:

• freeze time
• an ability that sends your character's life/mana/es and position back in time a second or so
• cooldown reset button.

But for damage you are still forced to use skills like Elemental/chaos/minions/whatever. Hope that clarifies a bit better.
