Are weapon set skills currently bugged? I thought you could ignore it and effectively use em as extra passive points say if you put everything in weapon set 1...
But now I can use 2 points in weapon set #2 but its not letting me do it with weapon set #1.

each support gem you add will add +5 more. So if you're using other support gems that require INT then it will keep adding +5. Let's say you have 3 then you would need 15 INT to use them. If you wanted to add a 4th INT support gem you would need 20 INT because it added another +5 int requirement

Throw up a pic of your skill screen. If you are using bell then using a fast hitting attack like tempest fury is even better as it pings the bell alot. It then also adds lightning damage AoE that can then proc shock for power charges for your finishers

depending on your need. It's usually best to augment a blue with a good modifier and then regal then exalt slam. If you are really starved for gear you can transmute whites

I play lightning and it works fine for me. Cold is still better for campaign because it provides some defence with chill and freeze

Yeah I'm just starting to struggle quite a bit, seems like I hit a bit of a wall when I got to area just before Count. Mobs starting to chunk me down quite easily.

energy shield is not a good defensive layer early. Armor + max life is better

what does more levels of Raise Zombie do? I haven't found a site that says anything other than higher int and mana cost.

+skills is really the first step. If you get that on a weapon then I would continue with crafting it up. Ideally at least +2
