I’m trying to add role icons to my Discord server, and I keep running into issue after issue. I know this is probably simple for people who’ve been managing servers for a while, but I’m still learning this side of things.

I’ve been on Discord for about 3 years, but mostly just joining servers and chatting. Around 11 months ago, I started setting up servers for Roblox games, and I feel like I’ve gotten pretty decent at it. Still, there are a lot of features I don’t fully understand yet.

Right now, my main problem is adding role icons. At first, it mentioned something about my Apple subscription. I canceled that, but now I’m getting a different message and I don’t really understand what it means. This is my first time dealing with Nitro and server boosts, so I’m a bit lost on how everything connects.

For context: I already have Nitro and I’ve boosted my server until May 18th (today is April 30th). I wanna add the icons even if I gotta boost again, which I will do if that’s the problem, but I don’t even know what the issue is. It’s just showing stuff like what’s in the picture below.

If anyone can explain what I actually need to do or what I’m missing, I’d really appreciate it.

this has been happening to me too as of late, I will join a vc and then after about a minute the audio from other people just stops. I can restore the audio by going to discord settings and switching speaker outputs but the issue just comes back. People can hear me but I can't hear them.

Hey has anyone ever come across this issue? My discord on pc has a limited amount of time per restart till it completely freezes. Once my pc is booted up the app will work perfectly fine until 30 ish minutes or whenever I click off from it from that point on it’ll stop responding. Even if I force close it via task manager and reopen it, it’ll stay stuck on the checking for updates section until I restart my pc once more. I’ve deleted the app aswell as all the folders in localappdata and appdata, I’ve updated/reinstalled my drivers, even tried tracking the issue with windows event viewer. I’ve done everything short of a factory reset and I’ve found 0 guides on this issue. So if anyone has any experience with this issue or any tips I’d greatly appreciate it!

Anyone else getting this weird visual bug on mobile?

After typing for a while in a channel, either the left or right side of the screen starts lagging and turns grey.
(It’s not the normal Discord background, I have Nitro with custom colors.)

The only way I’ve found to fix it is by putting sideways my phone twice. But when I switch it back, the bug just shows up on the other side, so I have to put it sideways again or just simply refresh the app.

I have no idea if it's a good spot to adress a problem my friend has. So basically what happens is that whenever he opens the Discord app on his laptop, everything slows down. The message delete event doesn't send the message content to begin with. The logging bots just cache messages. So if your messages are old it's unlikely to still be cached, meaning those bots would only see that a bunch of your messages were deleted but not the content of the messages. No guarantee though, as all bots have different caching durations

So Discord couldn't change this even if they wanted to. The bots are storing the messages

No, because Discord is not the one sending message content. If anything it'd be something you'd have to bring up with the staff team or whatever logging bot they're using. You can see what info a delete event contains here: https://docs.discord.com/developers/events/gateway-events#message-delete - it only sends message id, channel id and server id.
