Discord account and Support account are separate, but use the same email so they know which support account is for which discord account.
So you'd use or create a support account with the email your Discord account had, and submit a ticket, so even if hackers changed the email they can track back which discord account was affected

ah, so your email and a bunch of other stuff on your computer was likely compromised too, yea that's a big headache, i'm not sure if a full reinstall is necessary but it's the safest to make sure you remove whatever malware ended up on your pc, then try to get back control of any and all accounts that they could have gotten into. i don't have experience with this kind of hack so not sure what other advice to give.

Your friend can submit a ticket for a hacked account and if/when they get back control of their account they’ll have to rebuild from there.

Hi all - I have an issue with streaming. When I try to stream any gameplay The streaming window just says "Stream paused swap to your application to continue" It says this for me and anyone trying to watch and doesn't change when I swap back to the application. The only way that I have found to get around this is to go into settings>voice and video>advanced streaming options then turn on "use our advanced technology...", then exit out of settings, go back turn that setting off again, restart discord and then the stream works fine. This is a real PITA and not something that I anticipated when I paid good money for Nitro. My GPU is a 7900XTX I have hardware acceleration off (it is the same when this is on). Can anyone offer any suggestions?
