yeah honestly I think it's your ph keyboard using emojis that aren't real, maybe switch off of that, or find a setting to disable it. Discord doesn't do custom emojis, so when you try and use them it makes them large images (if you want custom emojis, you have to upload them to a server)

Hi, so I've been having this issue for the past few months where if I screenshare, it causes a memory leak that will eventually crash my system regardless of if I keep screensharing or not. Previously this was fixed by disabling Hardware Acceleration in Voice & Video (not Advanced Settings. It has no effect on this), but an update in November removed the option to disable it and defaulted my option back to On. I haven't been able to find another way to disable it. I opened a support ticket a month ago with no response and an automatic closure saying the issue was resolved (which it very clearly wasn't).

I've also learned the issue was with the stable release, not the host version. I tried downgrading the flatpak but it only downgraded the host version.

I would very much prefer to be able to screenshare again, and I have no idea why they would remove the Hardware Acceleration toggle from Voice & Video when it's completely separate from the one in Advanced Settings.
I first had this problem back in September and took my computer apart and put it back together in case something was loose, but it wasn't until like 5:00 like 6h after the original crash that I found out about the Hardware Acceleration setting in Voice & Video, and it fixed the problem.
At least it did, until they removed it.
Gotta love discord.

edit for anyone searching here for some reason: The issue lied with a mesa driver bug that affected the RX4x0 & 5x0 cards (RX580 in my case), which was actually patched before I posted this but was never applied to bazzite. I swapped to arch and found that out, as well that a dev had already ordered a RX580 to replicate the issue since discord was somehow bringing up this driver bug. This issue has been fixed for about a month now (currently 10/02/26) so if you're having this issue, try to see if you can update mesa.

You likely have boosts already assigned to something else, like perhaps for the guild tag? (i see you have a tag active and that might be for the server you’re talking about)

If you go in your server’s boost menu you can see where the boosts are currently assigned, and you can change them if you want different perks active

My friend is one of the kindest people I've met in years and I've gotten to know on discord and is a trusted group leader with several servers and Nitro membership.
She has been a mod on our group server for a long time!
Her account was hacked then band. Her effort to create a new account was band.
Discord has been not only unsupportive they have been dismissive and rude.
She has pretty much given up.
What can I do to help her? Anything?
The bad guy is the hacker. I'm really clear about that! But she is a victim and needs a good guy!

Then she got kicked while she was down.

I don't think I could find myself in the same place! People can let the frustration of the circumstance get to them and they become overwhelmed. Any decent customer service person knows how to descalate an issue. If they are trying to replace customer service people with a website that website should be designed to deescalate not infuriate.

CS people don't get paid enough, the whole customer is always right is cut down by businesses and companies to allow the abuse of workers.
So no, CS is not there to help you with not being frustrated, that's what solving problems are. The website design is partially Zendesk with a mix from whoever wrote the css styling on top but general system is Zendesk... you don't pay them, I do and I find it fine for business use

Well everyone should have no override on channels/categories. members should also not have any overrides if you want to make a mute role as that would make the hierarchy ignored for those channels if the member role has ✅ override.
