I even have proof that the profile picture is mine. I have important stuff in that account and I can't afford to lose it. So what happens when I try to log back in: I put the password and phone number then it says wrong password(even though the password is correct). Then I click forgot password then it says we've sent a sms to the phone number connected to this account. Then I get the sms. Then I put the code then it says we have sent a password reset link to the gmail connected to this account. (I don't have a gmail connected to that account) This doesn't make sense. I used to log in this way but it doesn't work now for some reason.

No. And contrary to popular belief, you're meant to add an email to your account even if its lets you register just with a phone number.

That's where all the communications are sent to, including password resets etc

I never knew there was a hacker on my account and I can’t access it because of 2FA (Discord falsely banned me and i got forcefully logged out on all devices) and Discord never told me about the hacker but reset my password so now I somehow have less access then I did before but every time I ask Discord about it they say there isn’t any suspicious activity on my account.

Shouldn’t Discord do something about this to help me access my account again.

This has went on for 9 months btw and I got unbanned a month later with Discord acknowledging that I’m the owner. This part was stressful enough because I didn’t want my account to get deleted for something that wasn’t my fault. Similar thing with nitro and they removed it a day before it was due so I thought I was gonna lose $100 because I didn’t have access to my account because of Discord.

Looking to see if anyone else has experienced this and what a resolution was. Starting on Tuesday two days ago, on Windows Startup, I get a prompt asking me to approve elevated (admin) permissions for some program like Discord Windows Assistant or similar. The webpage displays You need to enable Javascript to run this app. (And it's not text I can copy-paste either; a document inspection in firefox shows literally no html elements, so it's literally a webapp it seems? That much I'm less familiar with.)

So I have closed out of firefox, and I will find the discord desktop app has launched but with me signed out. So I must again sign in via email, password, and 2fa. Prior to Tuesday, I think the last time I had signed in to the desktop app was about a year prior. Now it's been necessary twice.

In trying to troubleshoot and get the exact name of whatever program is asking for elevated permissions, I restarted my PC last evening and it did not prompt this time. I remained signed in, no firefox window attempted to open, no prompt for permissions. So now I'm confused why it did it the first 2 times, but not the third time.

It is unsettling to me that some process claiming to be Discord wants admin prompts. I haven't installed anything suspicious, the only software reinstalled when this started was OBS, confirmed official at their discord server.

Long story short is I use the turtle bot...carl bot-I think easy application bot too. I noticed when people fill out the application and I check mark it as approved it does nothing and doesn't give people our role of "tavern goers" which makes it so they can see some more channels and can post pictures in the server.

I had someone else that handled the bots and tech stuff in our server and kinda up and left plus bc they don't work at our store we can't have them work as a moderator/server owner so there's no "kill switch" option for them. not that I believe they would do that-but my manger and store owner wanted us to be more on the cautious side of things.
