This is not possible with standard Discord permission. Manage roles always includes editing roles. You'd need a bot that can assign roles and give the roles permissions for those commands

Hi! I know this is a longshot but I was wondering if anyone here is able to get me in touch with anyone at Discord to review a unique case of mine. I know this isn't a support server, but every time I submit a ticket, I get directed to Clyde or Nelly bot telling me my account does not exist.

On Tueday of this week, I was randomly logged out of my account (that has 2FA with Google Authenticator and mobile phone) and my account was deleted and replaced with deleted user followed by a string of numbers. I've reached out to both general support and trust and safety with proof of my account existing (usernames, creation date, nitro billing proof) and every time I recieve the same bot message that they cannot find my account or that there have been no Trust and Safety actions taken against my account. I've had this account for 9 years and I'm worried that my data will become unrecoverable soon. Any help would be greatly appeciated!

To begin with it sends a bot to quickly answer your problem, but if you want to speak to a real person, just ask for an operator, and it will notify someone, and a real person with a different name will reply shortly.

How do you know that? Discord specifically never give out a definitive response to why your account received a warning or were suspended. Discord only give bare minimum reason like if for example "You were suspended for violating trust & safety", or something like that.

Some games have anti-cheat software to detect well cheaters and it bans that players device ID or a code of some sort, why doesn't Discord use that together with IP ban. With that I mean if Discord ban or suspend you on a device it also bans your device ID or code maybe connected to your motherboard or some compontent meaning you can't use Discord on that device no more. Or can people bypass this? Only way I see is if they use another device or change their parts but that'll cost a lot in the long run.

I mod/admin a server intended primarily for one metro area. We only have one generally accessible channel that is 18+. There is someone, who in their original account claimed they were in Brazil, that got banned for misbehavior (harassing mods, posting inappropriate stuff while extremely drunk [and not in the 18+ channel], & cross-server drama). Not long after they got another account joined, claiming to be from one of our suburbs. Their behavior soon told on themselves and the ban-evading alt account got .

Now someone has joined with yet another account, and are beginning to show signs of maybe being the same person. They are currently timed out for 24 hours at present.

Is there a way to detect for sure if this third account is the same as the first two? And is there a method of reporting ban-evading accounts to Discord?

for a while now I seem to have this issue with discord where sending stuff like images or videos take AGES, even if its something that is 400kb it takes a while. And, when I share my screen it makes the call unusable. However, my internet is really good, and so is my laptop. When I stream on another platform, its fine. When I upload images or videos, its fine. Even when I try the same things on a worse laptop it works much better than my gaming laptop. Even when I use the discord browser on my gaming laptop it works fine. BUT when I use the discord app, it does not. I have tried adjusting hardware acceleration, does not change. I have even cleared cache in files, reinstalled it, and tried installing it both from the web and from microsoft store, and nothing seems to work 😭 does anyone know how to fix this

anyone know if theres any remedy for multiple impersonation accounts? i have no idea how they work, they keep returning with new accounts and they dm server members with a false profile of the server owner without ever being in the server. we do report them all for impersonation but they keep making new ones

they somehow dm server members without ever joining, so there is probably a few undetectable main accounts in the server or something
