I don't know if it's a standard functionality but my credit card allows me to disable transactions/set limit on transaction which I would do in this case instead of expecting discord to comply on a refund since it's an issue at their end

I did it multiple times when the merchant site was facing issues with their subscription page on the renewal date, the recurring transaction just fails

There isn't much you can do but to use the account you're using now, it's your responsibility to make sure you keep your email up to date and secured same with your password, and if there is even a chance to recover that email then you'll have to contact Microsoft and not Discord Support. Since that isn't on Discord and they can't recover it.

when you lose boosts on your server, the perk of your server tag will be disabled until you have enough boosts again and it should enable again automatically

But yeah, it’s not great for some things, and the server costs money. Honestly, I feel like Discord might one day add something like requiring Nitro for voice chat, lol. A lot of features on Discord now seem to need Nitro to use them!

no, it's on a random roll out to servers created prior to a certain date (some tried to spam create new servers to get it so they added a minimum date so any server created after that date can't get it, or at least not until it's released to all servers)
