I think you aren’t fully understanding what happened, it’s not a single person it was multiple people in the server. Someone reported the server discord investigated and determined there was enough bad stuff happening in said server to warrant action being taken on everyone

They probably also take into account if those managing the server handle the bad content, do they tolerate it? Or do they delete it asap and mod those that posted it (mute/kick/ban)? I’ve never heard of a server being actioned for bad content if they properly moderate it.

There is nothing you can do to protect others from being reported. The volume of reports doesn't have an effect on enforcement, and false reports shouldn't be possible as you need to report the very message that violates the terms. These can't be faked as Discord automatically collects information, such as who sent it (meaning you can't be impersonated), where, when, what, the surrounding context and whether it was edited or deleted.

Clearly your story seems to prove this statement wrong, and I don't know under what specific circumstances this happened, but in one way or another, there was apparantly something TOS violating, somewhere, somehow, that got looped back into it, or was possibly implied or misinterpreted.

Your best course would be to ban the person doing this if you truly believe they are abusing the system. If they can't access the messages, they can't report them, and bypassing server bans is a TOS violation you can get back at them with. You also seems to have screenshots of a "confession", these messages could also be reported by whoever received them for platform manipulation / abuse.

the issue with your regex is that it requires the https:// at the start of a link for it to catch anything. Not only can they use http:// instead to bypass this, but discord also embeds the server invite if you just post it without that (making it not a hyperlink).
The ones I sent take care of that case, but also work on alternate forms like 3rd part sites that can post server links. It also works if the person adds whitespace between some of the parts (it won't show the embed, but it will be readble by a human ofc).

Or you can use dyno (the bot) to automatically block links in specific channels if that works better for you.

Yeah, dyno and many other moderation bots also work for this purpose. I do prefer using the built-in features first if possible so I am not reliant on bots as much (they are still useful regardless).

The point being they if it has been banned for a year now, there is a very likely chance it is pending for deletion or already deleted meaning it isn't recoverable to begin with. That's just how long it takes to be deleted. And depending on when you got banned, this time frame could have been shorter than a year as it was changed last year to a year.

Hi everyone, ever since I booted up Discord today I can't hear anyone in a voice call. I can see them light up green when their microphone is active, I can hear the sounds of Discording itself like muting and unmuting, but I can't hear the user.
