There is an option to get Auto Mod to send an alert to any channel you want when users trigger it. So like, in your screenshot it says Auto Mod blocked a message, you can set it up so it sends a message of what the person tried to send, allowing you to see what was blocked.

From the server. You stand to lose more from using it than you stand to gain. Discord doesn't necessarily mention this as being disallowed other than that invites can be revoked for abuse. One could argue you are misreprenting your server by having an unrelated vanity. If you do end up using it, heavily advise against having it in your bio or trying to advertise it on servers (whether allowed by them or not) if you want to avoid being banned.

Hi all. I am on the newest version of the Ubuntu OS. I currently have discord installed by going to the website, clicking download on the .deb file and installing it through sudo apt install, however, for the last several days every time I open discord there's an update. It will not let me use the application unless I update, and that's just ridiculous. I'm the type of person that if I want the app to update, I'll update it myself. I have gone into ~/.config/discord/settings.json and I have added "skip_host_update": true to the file, saved, re-ran discord and I'm still getting blocked by this update screen. I have also tried using discord --disable-update or whatever it was and that didn't work either. In addition, I have also attempted to use ChatGPT and other googled resources to attempt to resolve this as well and nothing is working. Aside from digging around in the applications files themselves and finding the update portion and commenting it out, how can I stop discord from telling me that "hey user, you have no choice but to update this app or use the web version to be able to talk to people" and just let me use the stupid app?

Well, you don't. You shouldn't modify your Discord client even if it's something as simple as preventing auto-updates.

it's not "dislikes change" for me. As stated in my original message, I hate being forced to do anything. That's from updates to physical activities. I can't stand it. If I want to do it, then I'll do it. Give me the option. Don't lock up the entire application just because you want to force an update when 9 times out of 10 it's not even an important update. Example: this past week, the last number in the version is the only number that keeps changing. 0.0.81 > 0.0.82 > 0.0.83 > etc. These are very minor updates that don't really mean anything and most likely is not a cause for forcing an update. Major changes, i.e. the first number in the version, would be a reason I could support forced updates

I just hate the forced updates. The GUI isn't all that bad to me honestly. When I've got an active nitro subscription and they keep putting those stupid quest things up above the Voice Connected box in the bottom left, yea I could do without that. Just place any gifts/items/etc in an inbox of sorts under my settings and let me be lol
