If you send the message text and then the gif, it won't have the cumbersome link shown in the text. You can also mask it with [display text](link) so that it still shows gif, but doesn't have the long link.

I got a question about server roles. If a member of my server has like 10 roles, only the permissions of the top role will actually matter, right? So I don't need to manually set permissions for every other role the user has?

The overall permissions of all roles matter. If 9 roles have no messages send permission, but the last (bottom) has send messages permission, then they will have send message permission.

I assume if you report with the messages, then they would realize that it wasn't the bot directly saying it. The only thing you can do in this case it seems if this is what happened from your other attempts.

At any rate, there's not a whole lot that can be done. Discord can't move fast enough to fix your account, especially since you're one in a long line of victims that they're having to clear up.

Only thing you can do is try to warn your friends.

The key moment is changing the email. Stuff before that hardly matters. Everything after is beyond your control.
