Updating onboarding, whether it's the rules they have to agree to pre-join, or adding more default channels, cannot be forced onto existing members. You should reflect the changes in your rules channel as well and make sure to notify members of changes made to them. At the end of the day it's their responsibility to keep up to date.

It doesn't work quite the same way as companies updating their ToS and having you agree to them again

If you wanted to make it mandatory, my suggestion would've been a role gate. There are bots you can use to assign roles based on a user's interaction with reactions to specific posts.

If you wanted to update your rules, you could depcirate the old role allowing access, and add a new role that provides that access, requiring the reading of the new rules.

Otherwise, if you trust your members, you could just do an everyone announcement, potentially just highlight the new rule, and just continue as usual.

All in all, your philosophy regarding rules and enforcement should probably be that any requirement to read the rules is simply to make sure they should know better. If they ignore the announcements, and ignore the rules, they're subject to the corrective actions your community dictates.

It should. Connection from client to server is done using 'tokens', so that your information isn't being transferred. Most software hacks hijack and mimic these tokens. Changing your password makes your old token no longer applicable. So, as long as your system is secured, and they're not able to sniff the new token and mimic it, it should be good. Any client still using the old token will be rejected.

So yeah, if you tap F12 in a chrome-based browser, you can actually change the HTML the browser would have downloaded in order to display the page. That's how they generate the fake emails, by using a real email as a template.

Other than that, they produce fake 'certificates' to earn your confidence, before they betray it. They run this scam on likely hundreds of people a day.

Hello, there is an issue in a server I am in where hackers are overriding the ability to ping everyone, and spamming links to their server
The staff have repeatedly disabled the everyone ping, and there are no suspicious bots that are changing this perm
Yet the hackers are still able to spam everyone pings in most channels.

I don't think accounts get deleted when disabled/suspended. The only way to get it back is when Support changes back the email.

They did change the email back to the original one, and give me the chance to Reset it.
But problem is. when I try doing the password reset it throws me into a Multi factor authentication process where I need to scan a QR code which ends up with me failing the authentication.
I sent them a follow up email informing them of the situation and provided a screen recording of the process.

Check your ticket list, make sure none are open, then open a new one. Make sure to give the correct email for the original account, that's vital.

you go to discord through mobile browser or go off mobile they aren't accessible in mobile app. It works on desktop or browser. You go to someone with the badge (such as myself) and click on it to gain access to to the tab.
