Hmmm the issues I could see for that are far and between, the main one just being communication. I mean, if they can’t DM their friends or other people, they’re going to want to leave. DMs are important, private communication and resources, sharing things that you don’t really want other people to see (that’s not really a bad thing either, some conversations are just meant for certain people). If you were able to turn off DMs for them, I’d imagine they’d leave rather quickly once they figured out what was causing the issue

However, if you want to try and get people to talk more, I can share some community tips I’ve learned! Don’t limit them, give them options!

Tips would be absolutely great. I manage an online learning community so it's best if people are not clustering in the dms instead of the channels we've created for them to discuss the course modules and get unblocked when they have issues. It is falling very quiet and it only makes more people shy to talk too because they don't want to appear dumb (what someone told me).

Hi. Recently my discord account was deactivated, I received an email that basically told me it had been deactivated because my account info said I was under the legal age in my country to use discord. But I thought "no worries, anyway my account will be of legal age (15 in my country) to use discord in about a month so I'll just wait for it to be reactivated. if you look at any other mobile/web app duo you'll see that they share very similar layout for a reason: familiarity and intuitiveness. WhatsApp for web/desktop has similar (if not the same layout) to the mobile app. Facebook's Messenger does aswell. The only differences between mobile and PC are:
how you interact with stuff (keyboard & mouse vs hand & hand gestures), screen sizes and viewing modes (desktop being landscape, phone being able to switch between landscape/portrait)

The old mobile layout worked perfectly fine and everything felt intuitive: Wanted the member list? swipe left. Wanted the server list (which looked identical to pc and functioned identical to it?) swipe right!

Now you have to go thru so much hell just to switch a server. The notifications tab looks so cluttered and messy with everything in one place instead of separate categories (notifications vs mentions) and SOOO much more wrong with this new layout. It's terrible for a layout even compared to any other mobile app

Hello! my friend randomly opened discord on her Iphone and she was able to choose the new midnight theme (she has iPhone xs). For whatever reason i didnt get the new midnight theme, even tho I did update discord (iphone 11). am i doing something wrong?

Glitches I've discovered today using the new discord mobile update :
1-the messages get duplicated
2-whenever you try and click on a message in your notification it will crash discord
3-it gets laggy when replying to someone
4-a blue annoying message shows up whenever a new message has been sent in a server
