If they have their discord backup codes he can use those, if not, he can try to use his 2fa to get back in. However if he doesn't have either then according to discords support page regarding 2FA if I remember correctly they cannot remove 2fa or issue their backup codes.

Hello! A month ago, I bought discord nitro on my phone after my previous year of nitro that was gifted to me ran out. During that year, I was gifted nitro 8 more times.
