The funny thing is, skype has 2 GB limit to file size and discord now has 25MB limit without nitro (previously it had 8MB limit)

I think I was only tried to be scammed once by a steam support scam where someone supposedly accidently reported my account for something and then tried to get me to contact impersonated steam moderator which had the same avatar and name but no steam moderator badge

Hi guys, something is wrong with my Discord. When I open my discord and I go on my task manager to see if its opening, I see 3 instances of Discord pop up on the task manager, but they just disappear. I have obviously tried reinstalling it by local and app data, and have used compatibility mode for windows 8, but nothing seems to work for me. you can always go back to Regular mode, unfortunately it's not yet documented in Community Onboarding FAQ.
and your settings aren't messed up for switching to advanced mode
Regular mode is the stricter setup, advanced mode is a bit flexible to say the least

so if you have it configured in regular, you can go to advanced without any issues.
but be careful before you switch back to Regular, if you had a part of requirements satisfied through pre-join questions, make sure to revert it to default channels

anyways, what I suggest is pausing invites before doing any changes in onboarding to be safe if your server is active

A person keeps getting randomly kicked from our server, it happened yesterday, they managed to join back after a few hours and this morning they got kicked again. There’s no trace of them being kicked/banned in audit logs, we have also carl logging all member changes and in logs it seems like she left by herself (she didn’t). Any idea whats the problem?
We also have an issue with a troll who keeps coming with new accounts and harassing our members, the person who gets randomly kicked, has lost server access for the first time, ~15 mins after we banned another troll’s account. We thought that maybe the troll used her IP, so unbanned troll’s last account, but this morning she got kicked again, so the troll using her IP theory doesn’t make sense anymore

She didn’t 😦 she’s been a member for a long time, very active, and immediately after she noticed the server is gone, she dm’ed one of our mods saying she can’t see the server anymore and can’t rejoin using any of the invites (we tried vanity url, generated a new invite for her, they all showed to her as invalid). I think Discord should be more specific about this in their articles, because right now they only say that you can change your display name as much as you want, but nothing about usernames.

i need help

im connected on my pc and discord thru a bluetooth speaker but the sound suddenly dissapeared

at first it still worked except for the voice chat itself but then all other sound on my pc dissapeared too even when i changed both inputs to my built in speakers

i tried restarting but exact same thing happened, sound worked perfectly fine except you couldnt hear the call and after that the sound dissapeared from the rest of my pc too

soon as i leave the vc sound comes back

My guess would be to check if you have new Windows updates or updating your audio drivers. It seems to me like it's a system related issue.

i tried with the browser version of discord and it worked there until it didnt like 20 minutes later

Try disconnecting the Bluetooth speakers, by turning Bluetooth off completely maybe? Cause I had a similar issue with my Bluetooth headset.

Your PC might be trying to find the correct audio output and is trying to jump between your bluetooth speakers and the built in ones.

Other than that I would try a headset if you haven't already
