I wanted to make a custom command using Dyno. I wanted to know what do I exactly do if I want to make a custom command and want dyno to choose between words. Suppose, I’ll add these words : “starlight” “twinkle” “sky” “rain” “sun” and I want dank to choose a word between them, is that possible?

Is it just me or the recent update made the GIF banner standing still until you move your cursor to it?

If you're using GIF as your banner and profile picture, the GIF will not run as usual. As for the banner, it will have a symbol showing that it's a GIF on the upper right hand (image bellow) and it will stand still in the server profile window unless you move your cursor on it. It will only work in the user profile window.

As for the profile picture, it does not work in the server profile as well as in the user profile unless you have your cursor on it.

I know it's just a small change but I subscribed to Nitro mainly for the customization of my profile and I enjoy making it aethestic to the eyes, so it does kinda bother me. Is anyone experiencing the same issues or it is just my Discord is not working properly?

Is there a reason (well, a valid one, at least) that forum post titles can't have a colon in the text? In one of my servers, we're using forums for a book club/book study type setup, so the post title is the book's name. For example, if we're reviewing "How Highly Effective People Speak: How High Performers Use Psychology to Influence With Ease," I make that the title of the post (the body is a description of the book). The problem is that I can't use that title. When I paste it in (or type it), the colon gets stripped out, so I end up with the title "How Highly Effective People Speak How High Performers Use Psychology to Influence With Ease." Yes, I can go back through the posts and "fix" it (by adding a dash where the colon would have been or putting the subtitle in the post body), but that's not the point. Based on trial-and-error testing, the following special characters are not allowed: @ # \ : " < > /. The @ # \ characters I can sort of understand since they have special meaning within messages, although none of them really should be excluded from a post title.

So to get an embed into a forum channel I had to create a custom command that gets the bot to respond with an embed and then use that inside the forum channel I wanted.

I'm guessing you might be able to use something like Zira that takes a message id and then attach roles to the embed that way

It's the biggest bot on discord and discord has supported it extensively in the past. Banning it now would make Discord look extremely bad, but alternatively, it's also breaking ToS. It's a lose lose situation for Discord so why not keep the side that makes the most money?

Nah, it's more about suddenly yeeting the most popular bot on the platform from several million servers - thus removing those community's ability to efficiently moderate. Yes, there are some official, partnered and huge servers that rely on MEE6 as their go-to moderation tool. Removing MEE6 straight away would ruin the overall Discord experience for those communities and their members. Rest assured, Discord is adding MEE6's core features as built-in features to encourage communities to swap over. Automod for example, and how this server is testing self assignable roles 👀 I'm sure Discord is not pleased with MEE6's current approach

A friend of mine kept having that issue. We determined it was because they had a weird encoding on their videos. Something like "HEVC". Once they disabled that (this was all on their phone by the way) the videos started working properly

Hi there. I am having issues getting pop up notifications when Discord is minimized. I hear the two beeps but no popups appear. I have checked my windows notifications and it is listed and ticked there. I have checked streamer mode and streaming option is disabled. I have gone through notifications but still the same problem. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled discord and restarted my machine but still the problem persists. The only thing I can think of is that my screen resolution is higher than pop ups can handle. Make sure the notification banner is enabled. Go to ‘Notifications & actions’ in system settings and toggle ‘Get notifications from apps and other senders’. Also make sure “focus assist” is OFF in windows settings.

There’s a known issue with shadowplay’s in-game overlay and desktop notifications. If you’re using shadowplay, try disabling the overlay. And obviously you will not receive notifications while on DND.

Hello, I've contacted discord support on an urgent matter, to no help other than a message saying that they forwarded a message. The case number is 30572160. There was 24 hours since the ask for help has been sent, my girlfriend's account got phished and her email changed.

She had to lock her card, because she has nitro and a payment method set up and was worried that they'd spam gift everyone to drain her of money, she hasn't been able to buy any food since.

They have access to her national insurance number in the UK, her NHS number, her address, her full name, her phonenumber, and intimate pictures of herself. She has them all on a discord server she made for herself to keep information between devices. This is not a bot, she has responded to friends asking for a ransom for her account, hijacked the discord server with 700+ members she owns and @ everyone pinged everyone on the server further propagating the viruslink.

They can impersonate her, blackmail her, and spread those pictures to friends on discord. Discord has not even locked the account, and she's panicking alot and hasn't slept because of it since she sent the discord support request.

I know it's the case that this server isn't a support server, but where on earth do I go????
