You don't want to use a screw driver to remove switches. If you buy the pre-built keyboard, it comes with a keycap/switch puller tool. Otherwise, you can them online for not a lot of money.

Neither, switch pads aren't recommended for HE switches because it can cause issues with the reading of the magnet

Yeah they are HE (Hall effect) switches, the pads add a layer of cushion which makes the reading less accurate

I agree with Coins here. In terms of a personal like "special" build that has its own uniqueness, I'd choose green for sure. Plus there are quite a few more green keycap options to choose from like GMK Botanical, GMK Nuclear Data, GMK British Racing Green (ik im listing out GMK, but its the only green keycap sets i can remember 😭 )
