Well basically, I built myself a keyboard about a year and a half ago, but Ive been having switches fail on me faster than I would have thought?

The first set took maybe 9 months to a year before some of the most used keys (like E or WASD) started not registering presses and sometimes double pressing. Im sure this is a switch issue because I swapped them with spares and it went away.

Eventually I ran out of spares and I decided to get new keys because it felt odd they were dying after less than a year. I bought a full set of gateron oil kings, which I thought would be a nice high quality switch but im experiencing the same thing after maybe 6 months this time.

Could be an MX issue, I’ve had a fair amount of MX issues in my old board for double pressing and overall just not performing that I haven’t experienced on HE

Hi! I was sent from my post here (https://discord.com/channels/167181566978555904/1462870406200299653) to this channel 😄 Basically i have changed the springs in my Lekker Tikkens with L45 Springs (from the wooting store). Recently i am having the feeling that when pressing down on my keys that there is a slight scratchy/grindy feeling sometimes. This is for most of the keys. I was extremly careful when changing the springs to not touch any factory lubed parts. I also have an unmodified (stock spring) Lekker Tikken switch here for which i am getting the same feeling as well (but less). So it might not be due to my spring swap. Nevertheless i wanted to know if its worth it to re-lube all my switches to get rid of that feeling. Or if i just need to get used to that feeling haha (maybe its just normal and i am too sensitive). What do you think?
