would you guys say any kind of aluminum case is a must for the 60he+
i bought some new switches but i'm 50/50 on getting the alumaze, how good of an upgrade is it
Preference, though it does open up doing a friction mount
makes sense; would you say it's generally agreed upon to be a big improvement? or is it just a nice aesthetic upgrade
like big improvement as in looks/sounds/everything
pbs blanks?
not low profile but usually mostly what people want when looking for one
A premium collection featuring 158 meticulously crafted PBT keycaps. Designed with a uniform profile, this set offers a seamless typing experience. It includes both convex and concave bottom row options for added versatility and comfort. The profile, expertly designed by Matt3o, ensures both aesthetic appeal and functi
yeah, want a set of blank shifts to complete my low profile set, for my v2 split space bar
Entirely subjective. The only less subjective part is that a friction mount will feel a bit less jarring to type on compared to a tray mount
it has split spacebars
pbs blanks is the name
link abv
yeah, not low profile though
alr, im still 50/50
i think im leaning towards getting it for the higher quality feel and better noise since i am not a big fan of the default sound
i have some ur ice switches that i'm going to put in
Nice, changing the switches is far and away the biggest impact on sound you'll get. Possibly some change in feel - especially since I imagine that means you're going from 4mm to 3.5mm travel
Yeah im hyped, the sound out of the box is alright but i love the ur ices, and lesser travel will give it a 'new keyboard' feel so that'll be sick
What are you coming off of?
GEON RAW
is there a good sound comparison of stock wooting case and the alumaze one?
the only alumaze ones i hear also have different switches or something
Sorry I don't know. I never owned the original plastic case so I couldn't even provide a person opinion.
I thought MikeyTypes had a comparison but I might be mistaken
ill check that out
do you know of any other cases at a similar price range/a bit cheaper than alumaze and tofu60 redux?
raeds better
does anyone else have cerakeys?
ima cop this to plug my hexas in 🔥
i tried putting foam under the spacebar of my cerakey and swapped out the tikken for the founders switch but it still sounds pingy but now its just slightly dampened cause of the foam
https://geon.works/products/in-stock-frog-mini-leggera Frog Mini Leggera is also pretty reasonably priced. Not sure if it works w/ friction, but I think you can do some other mounts w/ it.

Oh looks like only tray mount builds are available?
all of em besides silver have g
Ah, my b
i think imma go with the alumaze, i cant justify spending $40 extra to get a similar sound from the tofu60 redux, but i still like the sound more than the default
(finally found a good comparison video)
i can confirm that friction mount wont work
gotta get myself another leggera i swear
these paint chips on mine is kinda sad
that's tuff
FLOOOOOOF
that's fluff
Shoulda went with the acrylic one!
It's in stock now
Then he should get that one. It was my fav of the leggeras. I still have mine.
do be regretting it now
Stop the keyboard abuse
throwback to when I voted you get silber case
anodizing finish doesnt chip like that

but still the cream was super cool with your cream gmks
indeed.
Hit my mx board on my leggera twice on the side
and accidently whack my Leggera on the wall
I hit my 80he when I rage in tarkov
what case is it using
Acrylic Leggera G is most tempting case for me rn for sure
he has gt80 silver
What is the thickness of the epdm foam that comes with the pre-built 60v2? 1,2,3mm?
Wonder if I could go thicker, or would it mess with the bottom-out actuation too much
gt80
push down the diffuser
you don't

pretty gentle
that purple is beautiful.
ouch that will hurt
Any suggestion for keycaps for the purple alumaze 60?
guys I’m using the tofu frosted case should I try Pom keycaps?
also thinking for MOA profile keycaps, the problem is I need an ISO layer format ;-;
that is so clean
did anyone used the gravastar ufo switches and how do they feel?
very stable, but also a lot of tight feel, so whether you like that or not will be up to you
there's a soundtest already on our database: https://link.wooting.io/soundtests
Ty
Dolch with Cherry Love
man I'm in love w/the DC fluxes, easily clears all other HE switches I've ever owned
im using POM Jellys, they feel amazing
Hi, just got the Wooting 60 v2 and mounted it on a Tofu 60 redux with friction fit, is it still recommended to use a screw to prevent static electricity?
correct yes. If you want to ground it then loosely screw in that top right tray mount screw
Thank you!!
hey guys, I'm trying to get some new keycaps for my wooting 60 v2 and I'm looking for Japanese/English letters in a dark color (Grey maybe), any suggestions please?
For ws deep fluxes should I use the full modding kit that torontokbman provides for the 80he?
Don't use IXPE foam that goes between the PCB and plate
Yes? That's different foam.
I'm talking about this. It goes on top of the PCB and messes with the accuracy of the keyboard.
@sacred elm ah okay I want to make sure I wasn’t missing anything
Foam should be in the box
Sorry, thought you were replying to my message
I was🤣
bros lead tape vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dS-YWaoyn1E
light bleed on GMK keycaps?
jesus christ, how has no one in his friend group told him this is an awful idea
does anyone know if there are any other compatible FLAT 60% cases like this one? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32540926035.html
tasty toxic metals
I think I’m about to revert back to backlit/shine through keycaps
Oh wait I could do X-Rays
Lead tape mod is the future
Some colored keys have that, you basically reduce the brightness til it goes away if it bothers you
Not for your brain
That would imply having a brain first
What do I choose for switch selector on wootility
For flux

Lekker v1/v2 and enable 0.5mm spacer
Wooting will add Flux in the selector soon™
Thank you
Recommend me backlit keycaps
I’m done with GMK
Isn't Switch Selector a purely cosmetic thing? As in it doesn't affect how the board works, sorry if it is a stupid question
No question is stupid friend
And idk what it does

if your switch isn't a full 4mm travel it just more accurately measures travel because the boundaries are different (obviously) between a 3.5mm and 4mm travel switch
boards function fine without it\
It's not much different to ISO but I keep hitting the key above Enter because I was used to having the ISO Enter
i think going from regular spacebar and iso to split ansi has fucked me up a little
but will get used to it
hopefully
Oh yea that's quite the change
No rgb with GMK keycaps is the only right choice
kinda like it tho

i kinda prefer the split spacebar with the middle button on fn, im just not used to it yet lmao

so my wpm has gone from like 105 to 70
“No”
I had to retire my CF plate on DCF
why
i’m retrying dcf ngl, feel like i judged them too quick
is it too loud or what

what keycap set is that
pbtfans crosshair
It basically allows auto calibration to start at a point much more accurate than it used to start
No, I just like copper plate more for marbly clack profile
Meaning it can give you tighter and more accurate presses right from the start of your boot up instead of needing lots of press data and trying to adjust down to the switch afterwards
i have never tried any of those, i need to do some good research before getting one because i was gonna get cf
i want MAX clack
CF plate would be your pick for max clack
CF plate and something like owlabs/original flux or HMX crystal HE would probably be your clack of choice
For max loud clack
Do you have any new data on new switch selector additions 🥶
i have dcf otw
Just the ones I mentioned before
That will cover basically 90% of the switches I’d expect most people to use by then
Any shareable ETAs on the selector drop for our favorite fluxies 👀
They should be in whenever next big update is for the beta probably. Most of the process of time is more the ui stuff than the data collection
I liked CF with DCF, but copper plate kinda took over my enjoyment since copper plate when paired with a full bodied sounding switch it behaves like a metallic FR4 plate
So for example when we add Wuque flux we contact Wuque to get their file to add switch photo into our Ui
And that can take a bit of time
The actual data collection im fairly sure gets done in a few hours already for all the ones I sent over already
Wooting PLEASE release the plate files ASAP 🙏
do i only need to install these 2 gold screws when im installing the 60he v2 module into to alumaze60 ?
if you are tray mounting you can just screw the ones on the sides
ig only the left side would be enough so that golden part doesnt move
weow
fire case
Skill Issue and hit enter
Does anyone know where I could buy just some simple WASD keys in various colors/etc?
specifically looking for some textured blank caps
Rakken
Alr bud, we left the art of frankenswitching to @calm pulsar
Can someone recommend me keyboard HE keyboard PCB with 8k polling? Don't really feel like buying a whole keyboard when I just need the PCB to swap my case, switches, etc over to so I can upgrade to 8k polling. Something with software that I can enable 'rapid trigger' and custom actuation distance
Do they sell just the board so I can upgrade my 60HE v1 to a V2 board?
Module
i think when i ordered the case it said that i need to tray mout it
Any coupons for Wooting rn?
No
DISCORD DISCOUNT for 0% off
only if you want to use the tray mount, but you can just friction fit and screw in one single screw in the top right area loosely and you're good
It doesn't say that you need to use tray mount though
@glacial wind did you try the tcc flip switches yet? 🙂
ok so that means i dont need to disassemble the pcb like this ?
No
You only need to put the v2 module in Alumaze and screw in screw on the top right
got it
Sorry this will be a dumb request but can you show me what those "included grounding standoffs" look like
yeah i like them, but mostly because they're basically quieter ttc kom that come prelubed lol
haven't had time to full test them yet as I'm finishing up editing a video that should go live by next week, but will properly test them hopefully tomorrow or over the weekend
not sure where to ask this, but how do i get the switch selector option in wootility, its just not there. im version 5.2.1
So any news on that “god” switch?
i have to use the browser version for that feature?
What switches u using
i have the tikkens in rn, but im about to switch to the geon raws
not yet, still waiting to see
Yeah both of those are supported
ive seen others have the switch option in their wootility, but i dont
Beta Wootility app is also available https://wooting.io/wootility/changelogs/5.3.0-beta.1
You have to use the beta
oh so its a beta thing, okay thanks
If the switch selector isn't in Wootility > Settings then yeah, it's only in beta. Don't remember exactly if it's available on v5.2.1
w
Mi iso 60v2 finished too!
what's the bottom case? Tofu 60 redux ?
Both tofu redux, acrylic and anodized grey
oh what, arcylic ??
man i want the gt-60 to restock in black already smh
and with the black accent strip
I NEED IT
Yep, transparent
This is tachyon mode profile
that is sick!
Counter Strike enjoyer hehe
you might've changed my mind, i really like it
Acrylic is as custom as you can imagine
You paint with color basically
I dig it a lot like this for normal profile
Do you guys know any affordable keycaps that looks like these 2
These keycaps would go hard on my purple Alumaze build
is the switch properly placed in? Where you hear a clicking sound once inserted properly
the colored tikkens are also 100g btw
compared to normal tikkens being around 50g
Yes I am placed it properly, only space key has this problem
have you tried a different switch ?
what are the best switches to get rn? any new ones?
ty
are the tikkens this good?
There are newer ones to come out probably next year so should have some more options for the list
there's also sound test in #🪛│modding_faq
If you’re sensitive to top wobble I’d probably get something else, but aside from that they were fun to use
depends what your preference is
Decent option
i got the owlab tis rn looking for some deeper clacky switch
I’d go for the pink flux off aliexpress
they are hella expensive for me
even on aliexpress
Ur ice/phylina thunderbolt then
oh wait nvm i just found 70 pcs for 50€
usually they are 75€ but i get 25€ discount buying first time
I tried jade and mount tai switch but still feel a bit loose
shouldn't feel loose if you're inserting them correctly. You can contact support if you like
Try some of these vendors too
There’s a few different ones, but if they’re still too expensive your other options are UR Ice and Phylina thunderbolt (box stem UR ice)
I had owlabs and I switched to deep clack fluxes and been loving them ever since
I got mine from mmd ainy
all of them say they are unavailable at my location
That’s tuff
Might be if you’re from Germany then they have a dislike of shipping over there
I’d pivot to UR ice or if you found another vendor that will ship to you
yeah i am
Wait for them to be back in stock at toronto keyboardman
He does ship to germany
w t dot man
Whats your colour settings profile?
Has anyone got any recommendations for a black fr4 or carbon plate for the 60HE v2?
Anyone tried those thunderflashes?
Are those phylinas good?
sno tried them
Does anyone knows what kind of foam is the one included on tofu cases?
Should be fine, haven’t tried them but Sno should have their stability grade and sound test available
I have just seen this 😱
@toxic surge https://www.priparcel.eu/parcelbox/shipping-address/ use something like this, dunno why aliexpress hates Germany. They shipped to me in Sweden
Your own shipping address in The Netherlands to have packages delivered √ forwarded to any country √ 10+ years experience √ 10.000+ customers
Hey - you end up trying this out at all? Wondering if it’s compatible with the 60HE V2 PCB.
no
cat meme?
Where can I get some good keycaps from
https://www.alexotos.com/keyboard-vendor-list/ filter this by keycaps and your region

Do you need a grounding sponge if the case isnt metallic? (Tofu Acrylic)
frosted better
Are you using friction pad
Yea
then I would get one
you can use a screw near the port but grounding sponge is better
Removing switches can’t be this hard? I swear I’m doing everything right but it’s still a struggle.
i dont think it would make much of a difference
Thats what I think, since it would have nowhere to dissipate any charge
Had to eat $30 in shipping/tariffs for the tofu since Divinikey has no restock for this batch
#1451301805421101149 message
You can’t ground the case if it’s not electrically conductive
pfft i had to eat $70 in shipping and fees for my gt-60 cause only KBDfans stocked them
their aliexpress store wasnt any cheaper
😭
Thats that metal tariff at work
worth every cent tho
"Unmarked aluminum" @sacred elm

$330 in tariffs 💀 💀 💀
Bros optimum case is cooked
Remove the switch plate from PCB makes it a lot easier, if you’re using default Wooting puller I’d throw that away and get something else like the Wuque studio titanium puller or the TX one
the same way you always did
you unbound it in wootility?
i think so yes
no i rebinded it
so it should work then
If I'm to try my best to guess at what's happening: they want to rebind the lower key but not lose the shifted ?, which is not possible.
In ANSI (USA), /
azerty
the same key it was on your old keyboard
I dunno, look it up
and if you accidentally unbound it you go to remap and click default
to map all defaults
yeah i'll js do that thx
yeah thx
anyone know where I might be able to find some blank WASD keys that are textured on top? I have been searching all day and can't find anything
Gn
crunch
Does it matter which way the EPDM foam goes into your case? Which side is the correct side?
In the 60v2? Doesn't matter sound wise, but it's cut/keyed to go in only one way. Look at the notches at the top.
How do you remove Owlab Ti switches? With the default Wooting Switch Puller it doesn't seem to work well
If i get just the module does it come with stabilizers?
what are these keycaps?
Keykobo Soju I think
Remove plate then pop it out easiest way
ttc horse switches incoming, super damped
ttc 035 tactile
ttc 039 "zero grav" (mech switch)
ttc new pcb "trident"
Interesting 👀
hello i have a wooting uwu and it said it was hot swap but its really difficult to get the switches out with a normal switch puller i was trying to swap it out like on a normal kb am i doing something wrong or is it not hot swap and do i need to open it up wit the bottom screws
anyone know where to buy PBTfans Crosshair keycaps for shipping to EU? without taxes from USA
They can be a bit tight, but it is possible. If you struggle with it, taking it apart is an option
i tried really hard couldnt do it now im just scared that i might break it
Wiggle it up and down and pull from the south first. Can be harder with a plastic puller, a good metal puller will help a lot. If you still struggle, then disassemble it and pull from the plate.
im using a metal puller im gonna try wiggling it
Don't pull it straight up, gotta wiggle it first and then pull from the south. Easier to pull like that for me.
alr ill try it
Oh dam ttc finally doing round stem? They started lubing too, maybe this is time for ttc resurgence
If they can lower the prices...
not gonna be too cheap. the ttc horses are gonna be like sneks
serialized, non serialized and rgb skus
i cant seem to do it if u dont mind can u send like a video of u removing a switch

kbdfans comes from china, no where really to get it in the EU
could do it i saw a video of some guy prying out the switches with a screw driver is that fine or could that potentially damage them
I shouldve searched how to assemble this new plate
Oh wait there isn't a guide for this plate
You screw the standoffs in
Is it the cylindrical thing om guessing
https://www.zfrontier.com/app/flow/67MmXNlxjp8P
Meletrix Zoom64 (wooting compatible)
I don't think they sent enough standoffs
Im missing 5
I highly doubt I lost 5
This is pissing me off
gateron 3 in 1 puller, 198 yuan (non christmas version)
What case are you using? You double checked every nook and cranny in the box/bags?
Not enough standoffs for the plate?
oh yeah also ttc plate mount stabs, apparently no more wire rattle
how tf are these assembled

is there a list for Wooing 60HE v2 compatible cases. I bought the module and wanting to custom build it
What are those stabs that don’t use lube
You have to buy like a special keyboard since they come with them
@sacred elm

I found them @sacred elm
Gonna gate keep this knowledge from you
Norbauer shares his 5 year journey in keyboard stabilizer exploration to design a new stabilizer that doesn't require any lubing, presented at Keycon 2024.

Ah yea those
The Seneca is goddamn incredible. … might be the best computer keyboard ever built. … It’s certainly the nicest keyboard you can buy. The Verge Plasma ceramic and titanium finishes First Edition is offered in three aluminum finishes (Oxide Gray, Travertine, and Heatshield), along with a lavish Veracity Titanium option.
Buy one bro
Is this good for Fortnite?
Yea ordered an fr4 one
From ali
I mean I used what I had but Still a bummer
Have to disassemble everything again for a either my mistake or not
Weird, they're always putting a lot of standoffs in the bag
Can order them from KBDfans
Incase it was my fault: is the spacebar stab meant to be different from all other ones
Stand off silicone cover?
Cause I mightve done that
Cause my spacebar gets stuck now so
I could ask them to send extra
Ok I think that's why it's stuck
Spacebar wire should be up
What stabilizers are you using?
Odd, try reassembling it again
Yeah I'll try with stock plate aswell
It goes up, but pretty slowly
Maybe it's something to do with this? I don't know if this is normal
It's like a little more up
Compared to other parts of the plate
I might take a break for now
keykobo sojus
Fuck this damn fr4 plate
It goes down for both sides I thiklnky
I think
To where the switch is
Yeah I'm done for now
I just want my shi to work
not normal plate should be sitting flat
Hm idk how to fix it
mechanical design!? time for me to praise/flame this design! /j LMAO
holy parts, LMAO
if that thing was actually going to be made it would be so expensive
we are talkin like probably 50 dollars per set just in manufacturing cost
Any way you think I can fix it?
what do standoffs do?
Contact points for where you will be screwing into the back of the PCB
do i need to install one on an alumaze if im using friction fit? i'll need to use atleast one screw to ground it anyway
anybody got recommendations for snow/winter themed keycaps?
Are Dove HE compatible with 60 he v2
https://library.wooting.io/225eb39179848072869fdddc3b9ae808?v=225eb39179848012bc64000c9fe9d9c8 not tested yet according to the db
rough idea when it'll be tested?
They are recolored Mathew silent switches, which have been tested already.
Get one of these instead, if you want silent switches
so they're compatible but have anti mush design, awesome! thank u very much
They have what?
idk lol
Is anti mush creamy?
but it's marketed to feel less mushy
oh the haimu sound test is noticably louder
i might just get the tec then
hmmm but it may be different, i dunno yet
i'll search further
Does anyone knows why all of the sudden this "stain" appeared on the inside layer of the keycap?
It wasnt there yesterday
Via USB to your motherboard, and from there via your powersupply to your wall socket
oh ok
well
more like that one hook thing on the PCB
i think i saw some sort of metal pasted on it so i was like
yeah
That's supposed to go on a screw between the standoff and the case
Should be fine
the doves are very mushy
no idea why they market them as anti mush, but the haimus are the mushiest of the silent options
what silent switches do u recommend !!
Whats included in the Optimum prize set?
I recommend the gateron genty silent switches I like those
Those aren't silent
They arent why are they in the name then
Ask Gateron
Don't recommend them in general, prone to inaccuracies due to dampening
am confused now :(
If you're not using the most sensitive settings, silent switches are fine
i just want them for osu ngl
Sensitive gaming scenario ^^
WDYM by sensitive like 2mm isnt sensitive right? below 1mm?
tl;dr is gateron made them early on as a more 'silent option' but they were awful and barely better without any actual silencing methods used
which is why people recommend proper silenced switches if you want silent switches
Question if anyone could help: If I tray mount the wooting v2 module in an alumaze case do I have to change out the friction fit pad to the poron sandwhich layer? Or is that a preference thing?
They arent silent but I actually think they sound really nice
nope, you can use the friction fit pad
oh wait
i didn't read the tray mount part
Okay I didn’t know if there was some electrical difference or something. See people concerned about grounding and I hardly dable in keyboard so I hadn’t had a clue
yeah if you want to specifically tray mount then you have to swap it out
but you can actually just use friction fit pad and use one single screw loosely IF you don't want to tray mount
@glacial wind btw i was meaning to ask before, did you ever get XVX Snows to try?
other option is a little diy fix from amazon that I'll be showing as part of the tutorial video next week-ish
yep they're already sound tested in the database
Opinions?
basically tecsee but slightly see through for rgb
even has tecsee written on their housing lol
I see. I appreciate the help!
i never tried tecsee, just in general the info you can tell someone that has never?
they're very similar to rubber dome switches if you ever tried those, quite popular within the mech niche
a bit tactile and very quiet. they're a great switch as long as you don't intend to need super precise keypress because they do have a bit of give at top and bottom due to using rubber dome style design
Yeah i never tried any silent at all, but when they recently released it, i was thinking to first hand test, just never really cared due to the inherent inaccuracies.
But thank you for the opinion, based on that i think i'll get some to try personally next year, i wanted to, just wanted to see if you got some first.
they're very nice for a work setup honestly
like if I had more room i'd put them inside a separate workstation keyboard
Yeah sounds like a good use case, just wanna feel/hear it (not hearing it precisely xD)
Keyspire switches arrive next week
Maybe a stupid question but what if I used the friction fit pad with the screws in? Is there just a damage risk?
nah it's fine, you don't even need to put that screw in tightly, just has to touch basically
if you're really worried then the best solution is your own conductive pad from amazon for $5 and scratching case then glueing it over there under the usb port
So it’s just to provide metal to metal contact. I ask because I had screeed my V2 module into the alumaze60 without swapping the pad not knowing if it would cause electrical issues or something.
but that's a bit more hands on work than most people want to do for that conductive pad solution
Alright thanks
Tested out a few TTC flip KOM.
He’s referring to 0.1-0.4 range in actuation
Most sensitive starting at 0.1
Overall good switch. I guess its more thocky than clacky. But will probably stick with DCF just because of switch feel
Yeah the flips are interesting more so because they feel like a lubed ttc pom with less sharp note, but besides that they feel like lubed ttcs
I really want to try the upcoming round stem ttc switches
definately a quieter switch, especially if you dont bottom it out hard. The upstroke is quiet unlike the DCF. But it still has that weird suction sound like other TTC
F row is R1
gg
How are they
alright, i am admitting defeat and asking for help.
i got a plate for my 60HE v2 but i cannot seem to get the plate to screw into the PCB, i am using the old screws from the module, as it says in the tutorial, however they just arent long enough to go all the way through. am i missing a standoff or somthing?
What are some good mods for the 60hev2
pretty much just switches and keycaps
case if you want a different look but thats about it
I would recommend lubing a few switches and trying different amounts
But in general it's easy to fix adding more lube it's a bigger pain to fix overlubing
What about stabs
Was recommended swagkey knights v4
But I dunno
Did surface level research
Not really that much you can do biggest would be adding more lube to the stabilizers yourself
That's all I've done to mine so far
And with the stock lube it's more of a case of spreading it to the right places there's plenty on them already
(for the stabs)
I was pleased enough with the stock stabs, but remembered I had knights v3 laying around and gave them a try just because
Ended liking the sound and feel of knights more, multiple attempts at tweaking the stock ones got me nowhere, but felt like it's just the inherent differences in the design that make them sound/feel different and my preference just leaned towards knights
That's free of charge courtesy of Moumou
Ended up ordering two sets of v4 for v2 split as one set isn't enough lol

Knights are easier to lube for sure, they need less work to get to sound good, they're also made of different materials so there's some slight differences in sound profile
Can also get away with just using 205g0 instead of thicker lubes for the wires
Ye, I've compared stock untouched along with re-lubed stock vs slightly lubed knights and realized that even if the stock stabs don't exhibit any negative traits like ticking, rattle, whatever, I still preferred how knights sound and feel
So it was more of a preference thing for me
Instead of some oh no the stock stabs are unusable
Also, probably not something that is worth spending much money on tbh
Yeah, Wooting is still working on solutions for getting them lubed well right out of the box but seems easier said than done
I did it, but that doesn't mean it was that good of an idea or that others should do it, lol
Stabs are evil for anyone who's not willing to mess with em
Hard to imagine that issue being fixed ever without tossing lots of manual labor at it
I also swapped mine out but went with typeplus x yikb since it has enough wires/housings for the whole board
What was that Seneca thing, seemed to have a great solution, but requiring manual assembly that took a lot of time for each stab
Yeah I imagine there's some way of fixing it that doesn't require creating a $200+ set of stabilizers
so i was changing some keys around and my rgb weent off, does any1 know a fix
nvm i'm dumb
somehow turned the light visibilioty thing off
yikb stabs are god tier ngl
idk why i remember seeing people bag on them
cheap, sound great n easy to lube n assemble

usb c to a dongle wooting arent sold seperatly right?
correct
how do u get replacements
anyone got any custom strap recommendations / examples,?
if you arent vegan a nice option is always finding someone who does handcrafted leather pieces and getting a really nice leather strap
i’d be down for anything, kinda wanted to minimal maybe orange leather
to match my zero mouse pad 😍
since leather can be dyed and also comes in a few natural tones you can prob find something that youd like. and it would prob outlive you
jeeeez where do i even begin to look,?
good question. id love to say etsy but etsy is a lot of dropshipping nowadays

Are wooting switches faster than the competition? I’m sorry but everytime I try to remove a switch it just disintegrates, and I even bought the wooting switch toolkit
different switches aren't "faster" than another some are more stable or have lighter/heavier springs but that comes down to personal preference
Basically my gripe is the diffuser always dislodges and that lil pull tab keeps snapping or weakens to a point where it’s useless after 1 time using a switch puller on it
if you're having trouble getting the switches out you can take apart the plate and PCB and push the switches through the plate
`if u can, try instead pushing it out from the bottom
Alright
But is there a compatible switch that don’t have these issues? And is the rgb from the switch or the keyboard ?
RGB is part of the PCB
but the switch does play a role in how well it diffuses the light
totally just built my v2 with cerakeys and some ws flux. what actuation is recommend for them and rapid trigger? Having issues with double spacing
is there any more mod i can do to make the v2 sound better after the geon raw switch change? ( can i add foam or what kind of materials ) should i add
If you're using the plastic wooting puller, id also just get a better metal one
also is the WS flux sound better than geon raw?
Can hear comparisons here https://link.wooting.io/soundtests
In general regular fluxes aren't recommended but the deep clacky variant are
thank you, but can does anyone have personal preference
in the optimum case they sound amazing
i got the geon raw for the optimum case. are u telling me im spending more for the wsflux
ill try geon raw out then imma see
geon raw and optimum case is coming monday
They are a lot more, deep clackys are cheaper on AliExpress but still a lot more than Geon raws
dsflux is more expensive?
so ds flux is better
okay thank you
any links for the ds flux?
Sounds nice. Spacebar is dry
@red aurora can u answer my dm
thabk you.
the thocky one is out
rugh
okay i will wait until it restocked
until then ill use the geon raw
should be in stock on aliexpress
how. this is sick asf\
or is it thr same?
you want pink flux
deep clacky is DCF which is what im assuming you're after unless I misread your message
when you getting copper pink flux
love the colors but for sure need a heavier spring cause im getting double space....debounce filter is working though to eliminate that completely
Waiting for the perfect moment to do Facebook live stream
wont find a 3rd party spring until wuque releases some
unfortunately
wooting x flux thockest creamy switch when
damn so the double space is def a thing with these cerakeys then?
due to the weight of cerakeys you want like atleast 65g spring for space bar
thought so i was worried my module was bad
but debounce filter fixes it all for now
nice
only if you get the white alphas
the cream + red is too good
Yeah cause I’m gonna be honest Cosmos weren’t it
V2 split with ow60 original mounting bracket😜
part of me also wants to keep current lazurite build and not go for full selene, set is too hard to break
the contrast tho 🥶
What set are the cream ones?
KKB cherries with the white alphas
The rich and captivating deep red of cherries serves as the inspiration for this design, reflecting the color transitions of the fruit as it ripens—from soft pink to vibrant red. Might just get the base for Cherry Love and then those Alphas then
That looks clean
GMK MTNU Darling😈
MTNU
🔥
everytime I look at MTNU i look at the CYL version and think it looks better
Its an acquired taste 🤞
Typing feel makes up for the awkward look of the centered text (I got used to it)
Coming from SA, I’m used to the centered text. I think the height on MTNU feels balanced
Yeah its my go-to hybrid use profile. If I were only gaming, then I’d stick to my cherry profile EPBT sets (I’m addicted to their chalky finish)
Just assembled my new 60he v2 with a holy 60 case. First new keyboard in almost 10 years very happy.
Thank you sir! No it was very straightforward install.
alright picked up some matte v3 cerakeys to try for sound tests, will be a decent chance to see if they actually improved their qc with v3 methods too
found workaround for the whole no split keys issue, is order a matte blank mod kit and just use those for your split keys
any cool orange keycap sets out rn ?
Fully orange, or orange accents?
Right now, there are only orange accent keycap sets in stock
anything that catches your eye really
there's GMK Orenji but it just finished Group Buy
i saw those
might be some extras floating around in 3-6 months though 👀
so if i order the gmks or any set, it’s compatible with the split space bar on the wooting ?
i’m talking a full set
oblo has them for order now if you can wait till around May https://oblotzky.industries/products/gmk-cyl-orenji
they look so good 😍
are these any good ?
i don’t know if i can wait until may
haven't used dcx myself but heard good things from others
i might just roll with these for now, will this work with split space bar tho ? or do i have to order 2 sets ?
Comes with 2.75u 2.25u keycaps, you're good
No blank 1.25u though
yeah the blank 1.25u is pretty rare
what’s the blank for ?
the middle smaller key of the split spacebar
does it say super on it ?
you can use the super key yeah
it's always the 1.25u key giving issues. What i've done is often use kits that have a novelty set
then you can usually steal the novelty 1.25u key and it won't have words on it, but some other generic design that doesn't look at bad
still blessed the pbtfans crosshair came with 2 blank black 1.25u in base kit
only had to get a pbtfans wob spacebar kit
Is double press common with ws flux switches? I know cerakeys spacebar is heavy and ive fixed it with debounce filter and increased rapid trigger but I was tempted to try to swap my flux switch and make sure the pcb isnt faulty. Anyone elses 60HE V2 have any issues?
No, it's not common. Flux spring weight is not enough for the ceramic spacebar, which is probably the reason of double actuation.
Flux spring weight is 50g, recommended weight for the ceramic spacebar keycap is 70 or more.
Is there any good keyboard under 100 usd for geometry dash
I was thinking of upgrading my original 60he a bit, and I wanted to get stabilizers to match while I'm at it, does anyone have recs for decent stabilizers that come in white?
ah I didn't see the first option was available in white at first, thanks
those end up at like 35 bucks after shipping and vat, when the original price is 7 bucks, at least on their website
any other ones that are available on kbdfans, since I was maybe gonna shop there already?
Thoughts on glorious lube?
Prolly best to stay away from anything glorious nowadays and just go with krytox to be sure
Anybody have geon raw he’s that they don’t use and wanna sell lol

Will we get a PC plate replacement from Wooting for the 60 HE V2?
And also is there a huge difference going from FR4 to PC plate cause once I went from Steel to FR4 I thought there was a huge difference but for the better
not as big a jump but there's a difference
pc plates will become available from 3rd parties in the next month or so. There's one in japan taking orders for some plates already
although personally i'd go other way and not towards pc since i prefer stiffness
when wooting cf plate
soon i hope, i've been checking keyboard fun store daily lol
i think for personal build i'll be testing out v2 + cf plate + one of the new ttc switches + testing the cerakey v3 for qc
Oh I see I definitely do not like stiffness at all and I think that is one of threasons I love the V2 so much more than the 60 HE
And I think I would even like the PC plate perhaps possibly more than the FR4 but liking the FR4 also so long as its not steel
Should I wait for your review on the CF plate before I commit to getting one
i would like to se what cf sounds like with the v2
i could mount it but then i wont have any spacebars
then, just use mods?
im not cutting the carbon fiber plate myself
id rather not inhale the fibers or get it into my skin
oh in that way, IC
well it wouldn't be that different to how cf makes most boards sound so you can just look at 60he v1 and see how those cf builds sound
i saw the twitter modders got into a little exchange over someone calling out the absurdity of lead tape mod lol
lead tape?
yeah one of them started modding keycaps with little bits of lead tape just to change the sound and made a whole guide for it
someone finally pointed out how insane it is to risk lead poisoning cutting up lead tape into tiny bits just to make your keyboard sound better
even if you take proper precautions, wear gloves, wash hands etc etc, any risk of that just for thockier keyboard sound benefit is such an absurd thing to be doing
yeah that isnt the smartest ting ive heard
Anyone else rawdog there V2 no bottom dampeniong?
Me
You think it sounds much better without any case dampener right ?
I think so
The EPDM changes the sound in a certain way and the Silicone dampener changes the sound in a completely different way but with no foam it just sounds exactly how its supposed to basically
I ask cause im just testing which ones i prefer more I flip flopped from Silicone to EPDM to now i think that im liking zero case dampener much more
It’s preference, I tried all options and no foam/silicone sounds the most satisfying to me
Some say it has resonance and stuff but idk
Yeah I think Im leaning into that direction also
On Monday I am getting my DCF too and will be switching the GEON RAWs
I hear much more resonance with the Foam inside than out
@craggy light have a sound test currently?
Why tray mount?
Because I don’t know how to friction fit it into the Alumaze
Oh I was just asking because I thought it was a conscious decision against friction fit thats all
Just put the module in with the friction fit pad?
I will keep it like this
I also don’t want that silicone pad on the keyboard
I removed everything and I like how it sounds right now, won’t add anything else
me though its more with the case not having enough room
I think im actually liking it without the case dampener atleast based on the Tikken switches. I think the case dampeners destroy the beautiful sound of the Tikkens cause they sound better without any dampening. Now if I had another switch of some sorts then I might prefer the dampener I think it depends on the switches that you are using
Thats what I found my answer to be atleast
cause I feel like for me the dampeners like stop the nice sound coming through of the tikkens
It sounds more marbly without any material interfering
Yeah totally and completely agree wit h that
the EPDM foam ruins it
BTW not shitting on EPDM or silicone block its just that it has a use but maybe not the for Tikkens they sound better with other switches
Still testing a bunch of stuff and see what I like basically
heres v2 in my case
honestly think that my only issue with my V2 might just be the Tikkens I just might not be a fan
What are those pink switches?
ws flux deep clacky
DCF mentioned
Anyone have any recommendations to reduce chatteryness?
RN I find that the Tikkens just make a lot of chattery noise in my case. Would switching to another switch help with that chatter produced by the switches and also would switching to a PC plate from an FR4 help reduce chatter?
https://youtu.be/xFCu2hSg-oQ?si=CKBT86H--FeBhlwb&t=142
Here with this video I just sent you can see that the genty silent switches paired with PC plate sound like they almost have zero chatter?
Many requested a sound test with all the new switches in the Wooting 60HE. Now I can please all of you with a proper friction fit sound test! Switches tested in the video are the: Lekker V2, Genty Silent, regular Jade, Jade Pro, Jade Max, Magneto RGB, Magneto POM and the RAW HE.
🛒 Get the Friction fit pad https://wooting.io/product/friction-...
Fricton fit helps with chatter so I hear which V2 already has so thats good but the switches must be the issue for the chatter
I dont need the switch to be silent I just want less chatter is all
DCF gang
What is DCF?
Scroll up
ws flux deep clacky?
what is the sound so far that you dont like
I dm'd you
hey guys, do i need case foam if im using the plastic cover from the holy 60?
Honestly I am a bit mad that I couldnt test my fr4 plate but honestly idk why I even ordered it, I like the stock pc plate lmao
yeah dont bother with genty switches. They weren't really good when they came out and they wont be very good now imo. Since you want a softer profile, just get Raptor V2 atleast they will have good stability and very tight stem
Raptor V2 but are they soft sounding? Like when I listen to the genty silent switches they sound like you are typing on glass and have this really nice clean profile are those raptors just as good?
they've been the softest switches ive used so far, but the genty switches arent going to be more stable than tikken and you dont like chatter, so while they are more muted you will probably still get more chatter issues using less stable switches than tikkens
i mean you're also using PC plate too so thats going to soften them even more than they are already
Also based on that you said I want a softer profile which I do want shouldnt it be obvious to go for PC plate over the FR4?
Also no im not using the PC plate im using the stock FR4 60 HE V2
in your case then, take a look at the wooting mod site, Sno has every switch reviewed with sound tests available with the stock 60HEv2
But I should go for PC plate over FR4 right?
Cause I like the softer sound
its probably worth trying for you
99.5% of this space is preference, so you will need to try a few things to see what you like/dont like
No I know I get that but im just trying to predict that I would prefer PC because I went from Steel to FR4 and that made a huge difference to me I really liked it
oh wow
Like really really liked it more
yeah so the main things with FR4 to PC plate is with FR4 you get a stiffer experience which gives you a clackier experience, but since PC is the second softest plate, the material ends up dampening quite a bit of sound so you will get less switch feedback
FR4 gives it a more full bodied sound and PC makes it quieter
Honestly I would only swap over to PC plate if I saw an official upgrade from Wooting on their website
since you liked the PC plate Genty combo, i would just get a PC plate to try and get a decent switch to pair
But yeah that is what im after that softer sound that you described thats a good way to describe it almost sounds like glassy to me but soft is also true
can i use casefoam with friction fid pad and plastic cover on holy 60 for my wooting v2? or do i need to remove it?
@tropic urchin The raptor V2s dont really sound all that soft though?
its with FR4 plate
And also do you think that Wooting will release a PC plate mod for V2 since they did for V1?
Tikkens are softest sounding on that list, lube them and they'll have less chatter
I trust the product more if I know its coming from Wooting
So then just change the plate then?
To sound softer ?
Maybe, but softer plate isn't available yet. For now try lubing Tikkens and probably get thick PBT keycaps
Yeah but I mean when it is available which hopefully it will be
Don't hold your breath for a v2 compatible PC plate from Wooting. I don't think they'll do it.
Really why?
It's not worth it, it won't sell well. Even when the 60HE v1 came with a steel plate preinstalled, PC plate wasn't very popular, and it would be even less popular now that the v2 comes with an FR4 plate.
Hey guys. If you friction mount yo either have to use a screw or a sponge to ground, right?
gn
That’s okay then couldn’t I just buy one off a trusted third party?
But wdym tho the 80HE has a PC plate stock and people bought the 80HE and seem to like it so I think there’s a market for it
Do you have a switch puller
im using the one wooting has
So grab top and bottom of the switch down against the plate and rock top to bottom gently. It might require some force because they can be tight. But don’t pull with force.
Damn.
That’ll happen
Yes
the plastic cover snapped
Especially if they are tight
how do i remove the one thats damaged
Violence
why is this so tight
Take the switch plate off if you haven’t already and press up from underneath
Remove the plate and pcb and push from the bottom. Don’t bend the pcb
im getting anxiety from the anticipation of ur messages
Get this. It is your friend.
yo
the board snapped
everytime i see u type i can see the "I broke the keyboard...." mesa
its done
nah lowkey
i want a refund
bro how do you pull these switches
i can only get a grasp on the south side but tthe north side is buns
wont grasp that edge
bri
this it horrible
im breaking my wooting
omg the switch came out
bro snapped his module trying to pull out a switch
you think theyll provide a refund
bim joking but do you know how i can remove this switch that has the plastic side ripped off its still stuck
Two people told you already
its genuinely so upsetting that the default wooting case sounds so much better than the holy 60
i love how this case looks, but the sound does not compare to the full aluminum wooting case 😔
I wouldn't be surprised to be honest
The holy series design is full of holes so it's basically an open case design. It can't contain sound like a normal case would so sound would leak everywhere.
Time to oil it up mAh boi
For the wires you can do syringe lube
what do you recommend
Kinetic labs sell syringe lubes
is silicone grease dielectric
Does your default spacebar also have the same pinging sound?
If not it might be the spacebar itself which might let you skip lubing stabs
Idrk exactly what your listening for but if the issues still there with default probably have to lybe
Lube
no like
is this normal
is the question
yeah no
i used my sisters kb
it needs lube
Loll
yea, i was hoping the silicone bottom would help with that, but it still doesnt sound anywhere close to as good
it kinda just dampens the sound too much
it comes with foam but similar problem
im ngl i probably also need to relube my stabs
but im too lazy

im torn
