It's not really the shop itself, but rather that the prices get moved alot, and between having this many sellers and constantly moving prices, for a regular customer, it will be rather confusing and tiresome to properly compare and choose the best option.
This allows for easier access and a quick look.

98% of all switches on the market have been tested and have sound tests recorded so I’d take a peek and see what speaks to you @frigid zealot

Keycaps are personal preference, but I’d recommend either sticking with the stock keycaps or going with something you like from PBTfans or if you have cash to burn GMK has great sets with a lot of different styles/colors etc

Might be interested in dyesub PBT since GMK ABS is on the clackier side

I don’t think you’ll find MX levels of thock, but you’ll find maybe something close to your preferred sound

Same with the ppl that want a creamy switch, you’ll have to make some sacrifices in the HE space, but your options are much greater than where it was even just last year

And thocky by itself isn’t a terribly useful description since thocky means something different to everyone you ask

But to say you can get MX this or that, is just going to set people up for disappointment

switch doesn't really matter performance wise, aim for something that feels nice and sound nice. My recommendation would be Lekker Tikken, Owlab TI HE, and Deep Clack Flux.
