I can send a sound comparison in a moment -- as far as feel goes, knight v4 has to be hand lubed (which is also another case to be made for just lubing the stock wooting stabs) but it's pretty worth
they feel a bit snappier and lighter compared to the stock stabs, and it's generally just really clean :>

it's funny i was testing polar pro+ again today and you really don't notice the chattery kind of muddy sound on the top out until you hear it back to back with a cleaner switch

i was editing the polar pro test and thinking "this doesn't sound so bad really" but then if you put something really clean right after you notice it

I know this isn’t a wooting, but I still need some help. I have been looking to customize this thing, primarily the keycaps, but the problem is that idk what to go for, and I have an all black one. I just wanted some tips or ideas on how I could change this up and make it look better, also for some reason the white looks really bad on this keyboard to me. It’s a lot more noticeably bluer in real life than the picture, any fixes to that? Is it partially the keycaps’ problem?

For the rgb issue, you might need to use a slightly less blue white to compensate for the difference in strength between the blue and the other leds

As for the keycaps, that is all personal preference

And also depends on your budget etc

hey guys, following advice of a fellow wootinger, they told me to send my spacebar problem here, i posted in comm support as well but decided to do the same here

basically, u can see on the vid, the key is slightly leaned towards the right and rattles/ticks a lot, it has some "play" at the top as well, almost as if it isn't seated right

any professional know what the cause might be? had it for a year or so. wooting sent a replacement to me, the same key, but nothing rlly helped, i did everything u can imagine before u ask

99.5% of space bar issues usually are due to some issues with your stabilizers (i.e. wire is not perfectly flat and will have a metallic ping to it) or will need to be relubed and you can hear the rattle as a result

got a new wire too, fitted that and not much changed tbh, new keycap too, it isnt warped i checked so it isnt that

lubed it as well with krytox

Id maybe try 3rd party stabilizers, but some of the play you're experiencing could be due to bad space bar keycap tolerances bc neither of my GMK or PBTfans space bars have that same play at the ends there

they are a decent short term switch that you can easily pivot off of

if you've never tried a POM style walled stem switch I wouldnt sweat the FOMO (even tho there are real differences for bottom stability), but you dont have a point of reference for them, so you can just chill while you wait for whenever you can afford to include them into your build

i dont want a centered usb and the light bar on stock 80 is better for me, provides more functionality with it being squared
