Round stems are better than POM stem but MX stem is coming for them
In terms of top wobble and not cool airyness
MX stems is the pikachu of the HE switch era
raptor v2 is THAT pikachu as of right now
ggez
MX round stem is next
instead of that rectangle
so i spent some time today just really looking into the raptor housing and seeing what makes it so tight wobble wise
it's nothing to do with only the top housing from what I can see (top housing + stem by itself is way looser than a lot of competitors)
so somehow it's all just bottom housing tolerance that are way tighter
The hekkk
i'm actually curious on these tolerances because i found nothing 'extra' in the switch that would make it more stable than any of the other mx stem switches i have
The Geon magic
Then how's the top wobble so good š¤Ø
that's what I was trying to figure out
i think it's purely from the rail tolerance on the bottom housing + stem and maybe the stem tolerance going into the magnet hole
I do notice the housing surrounding the circle magnet area goes all the way to the bottom of the stem vs. 2/3 of the way on the owlab switches
I wonder if it uses that to help make it tighter overall or if itās purely just rail fitting with stem tolerances
You still haven't noticed any friction right?
no friction yet from what i've noticed. But i do worry that friction could occur if it's purely incredibly tight tolerances
try make it dry
Geon cooked
Owlab stem?
yep
yeah
Pole guide for sure. Itās the same thing on the Astrolinks. There are some frankens too that you can achieve the same thing with but all result in slight friction at bottom out.
Iāll see what happens when I put a Raptor HE V2 stem in an Astrolink housing when I get them.
Also, with friction in the pole guide, adding lube only helps so much if the bottom is completely flat. After a while the lube sags to the bottom and you get a sticky bottom out.
Hejin had those nipples in the bottom so more lube can accumulate without causing issues.
For the Astros and V2s, lube might leak out before it can accumulate, not sure yet.
yeah that's why I worry a bit about long term friction on the v2. We'll see though, no friction issues yet on mine
Hey ive recently bought a wooting and want to mod it any tips on modding it?
start out small with mods. Switches and keycaps are what most people do first time, and maybe stabilizer lubing if you have any stabilizer keys that rattle

How do they taste?
Like boterkoek

and theyāre probably not making many of them

JERRZI Wind on Ali: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EHIWHHs
Loving the raptors btw. Never really got into keyboard modding but there's a huge difference between the wobble of my current switches and those raptor v2s
Got to buy 50 more though for the rest of the keyboard
raptor v2 vs scratchy feeling geon raw? which is better ? i like a more muted sound aswell
Check pins, thereās a sound test with raptor and geon in same test
JERRZI with the instant recolor, what a time to be alive: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EJIkzJk
Thatās standard mini pack they love to use on aliexpress
I still use a keycap puller like that, in combination with the TX puller lmao
Still funny though imagine ordering just one switch and they give you a huge box for it.
You paid the price, so of course.
It doesnāt work like in your video š
Fluxies are luxury switches man.
Youāre bcamer
Thatās not the TX puller brother
just cheap puller that works well
they have one slightly smaller too
They love giving those plastic keycap pullers. I have like 10 of those now that I threw out lol
Maybe I just donāt order that much small stuff from ali
I had about 10 plastic ones and another 14 combined ones, and I gave almost all of them to my friends
I do have to say I love the absurdly overbuilt tx keycap puller
I literally never use it for anything else but it is very nice for pulling keycaps without ever worrying about scratching them
promo vid of the upcoming tmr board with rgbw LEDs
Something new, something interesting, I like it.
I used to pull an mx switch, worked great
And i also opened some raptors with it
Keycap puller and MX switch opener is the only thing itās good at.
Why it looks like apple ad
North(left) hand lubed, south(right) factory lubed
Sorry guys Iām so eepy that i even canāt put keycap on switch on the first try
Drinking second cup of coffee rn
woah another riscV and same mcu as the upcoming benom rgb
Not todayš„
same
not gonna order just keysnap
I do think they could be something for the OW60
maybe just maybe
@glacial wind youāll try them yeah?
Thx, just ordered the rest of my missing switches!
What's the point of the 'window' at the bottom though? All pictures I see they have them installed with that said window at the bottom. But aren't most LEDs at the top on the pcb?
Thought so. Thanks!
Sure Iāll add it to my next geon order. I have to test some stuff with ow60 anyway
Are you getting new ow60?
yeah I need to grab one to check compatibility things
i think optimum looks nicer though, at least with the keycaps i'm using
and i don't really use flexy stuff for personal setup so the owlab toggle isn't very useful for me
Do you have good luck?
Luck is not required and you insinuating otherwise is not appreciated.
So, in context POM vs Flux:
Well qc issues on ow60 are worse than chances on roullete soo..
So you betrayed POM church, I see you.
But newest switches like helios, or elf kings shots fluxies
Very based
POM era has passed
Hi lander
Maybe
wooting gotta start selling flux and Raptor V2 lmao

Why would they sell Flux

less but better
doesn't suit the set
The shade feels like it could match 60hev2 silver
No, they are not. Your limited perspective from a sample size of fewer than half a dozen units gives you a perverse expectation and brigading with this notion that the product is rife with QC issues is both factually wrong and offensive. Stop.
Furthermore, irrespective of any possible defect that could be experienced on arrival or for the duration of the warranty period, Wooting stands by their products fully and completely.
I will not tolerate you suggesting anything to the contrary.

Any switch recommendations for me? Im using the geon raws right now but id like something more quiet and or deeper. i wasnt to big of a fan of the owlab switches
Wait for Lekker Tikken
do they have a estimated date yet? i wasnt to big of a fan on the l60/45s. very wobbly
i will a 100% try those regardless because i like the 4mm travel for the gamepad stuff
Q4. Tikkens will be way better than L60/45
good to know, still produced by the same factory aswell? iirc they also made the geon raws and those are fine
Wobble is similar to Owlab/Geon Raw switches.
Yes
Sound test - #š§ākeyboard_modding message
Wobble comparison - #š§ākeyboard_modding message
these are honestly fine to me
They will be quieter for you if you are using PC plate.
those do sound good in that video ngl
pc is what comes stock on the 80he right? i havent bothered to replace it to be honest. i quite like the sound of it currently
Yes, PC plate is stock.
ill keep my eyes open for the tikkens then. any other recommendations? seeing alot of praise on those raptor v2s here
guys do you know how can i get 20 gram springs in germany?
aliexpress has them really cheap
Except silent switches, ofc.
i looked all over could not find, lightest was 35
wooting sells these, start on 20 end on 35
20g bottom out?
they work in alot of switches iirc
yes
I don't think you can get springs with 20g bottom out force
That's just too light š
š
you notice the activation force the most, id just try the 20g start 35 end switches
im used to 35-45gr and these were to light to me even after a week of using them daily
i am in a situation where i tend to hold the button often but i cant put on toggle
i have the jade prob
pro
these work with the jade pros, correct me if im wrong
Jade Pro has 50g springs. Try L35 from Wooting.
ah will do
they are very cheap š
You also need switch opener to swap out springs
some people also tend to relube when they swap springs since some is lost
not sure if its needed at all tho
Yeah, Lekker springs are dry and lubing them is a good idea.
what i did when i swapped the springs on my geons for lighter ones was i put a little bit on both ends before putting it in the switch
saw someone on youtube do that and it has worked well since
Yep, you can do that with 205g0 or just bag lube with GPL105
i used the switchlube from wootings site, its what i had on hand.
selling switches in sets of 18 pisses me off
Anyone know of divinikey discount codes?

Also which switch puller would yall do?
i only know the ones when u first make an acc and the ones after u order š
Wuque all day and night
Bet
agree
72, should be enough for 60%
i'd have bought them if shipping wasn't more than the switches themselves
i'm just gonna wait for some eu stock
????
are you mistaking 18 for 16
I know my own numbers, there's no fucking way 18x4= 64
Either way
time to search up the free windows calculator
I just lied on bros name
š
Well I had to get 4 anyway
If I got 3 I wouldāve been 6 short
@sacred elm Iāll fight u
it's fine, got enough still
and THAT'S why selling sets of 18 pisses me off
it's like the uhhhh
destiny battle pass thing
costs 1200 silver but you can only buy 1100
Seems like you fought with a calculator already

true with most games
wouldnt you want a few extra switches in case you fuck up one

Iād rather buy 65 than 72 lol
for how cheap the switches are thats negligible ong
uhm, acktualy, $2.8 is enough to feed a child in Africa for a day
Gateron puller clears š
that gets pocketed by the organizations to do what they want to, next question unc
ew gateron user in chat
careful saying the g word, it's blacklisted here now
in certain places you can, just gotta look
its what they didnt do is the issue
I've yet to hear anything negative about that puller from anybody that has actually used one xD
maybe an airplane ticket or 2
Hmmmm
Only thing Iām upset about is the FROG BEING OUT OF STOCK FOR YEARS NOW
nice secret vape pen bro
real discrete
But nah I quit last year šŖ
yay, more money for keyboard
I know I heard 3 had some issues w/ wire fit, maybe 4 is to fix that? š¤·
if you have knights already i dont think the V3/V4 is worth upgrading to
iirc just minor upgrades
I got the v2
i do too, you're prob fine just keeping those
Switch desires are semi legitimate, if you have Knights I don't think you're gonna need to touch your stabs unless there's a sea change in design.
Bet
as someone thats tried nearly 75-80% of meta switches, raptors are my favorite for feel + sound combo
best all arounder stability + clean sound instead of large trade off for either best sound or boxstem wobble
Thatās what Iāve heard for most
honestly the new raptors are what the jade pros would've been if they were good
they're quiet and almost thocky
Geon raw level sound with POM stability, while cheap. Basically leaves POM to the dust especially for people that like sound and lube.
yeah its quite good
same snappy feel as POM which i have been missing for a while
first switch that has come close to flux feel but without any QC issues
When
this week

||@sacred elm|| Update: still meta, it so fucking good
Wonder if the issue with the spacebar stab wire popping out when removing keycaps sometimes was addressed. I know its not on the list of changes
Yeah, I liked it more than POM spacebar
So fr
Oh god, I remembered when that happened to me on my old keyboard without hotswap, it was terrible
Oh yeah even worse on solder boards lol. With the V3's Ive been using the Geon wires with them instead of the stock wire. Hopefully that's fixed in V4
Get out the flux betterest meme POM boi
Putting fluxes on my spacebar would cost more than my entire keyboard and computer setup combined for the last 15 years
accurate estimation
If $20 costs more than your entire keyboard and computer setup, are you sure youāre not using a MAD60 by any chance

Funny, I'm doing my first cost estimation/negotiation w/ a software contractor like right now
1x flux for my spacebar would still be more than the tens of thousands a year we're gonna be spending to monitor our systems
just ask for a couple of fluxies
I think they call that a "kickback"
Too late, now Iām 100% sure that Iām buying GMK Copper fr

All i need is keep at least $50 on my bank account to keep all my subscriptions alive

Sameeee
Yt premium only strat
They even offered some movie for free. Legal this time
Apple music, etc etc
Only subscriptions I have are Spotify and TradingView
Discord doesn't count, Wooting pays that
I only have Spotify
they left Russia but friends in EU accepted me into a spotify family

Anyways
Keebmat is kinda interesting
I donāt notice a sound difference but the elevation doesnāt make my arm feel cramped anymore
Copper plateš¹
Might be placebo but Iāve noticed I move my keyboard around a lot less
Fuck these mofo, they trolled me
Fluxes give me PTSD and Depression
Terrible Launch/Marketing, Overpriced, Not as good as they were claimed to be, skipped leg day, bad QC
Good investment vehicle though
I still wanna try them but Iām still working my way through my first mortgage
easy fix. buy another house and take out a mortgage on it
Bro didnāt even pay for it sybau
If anyone should feel PTSD or depression itās me and @sacred elm
For being 2/5 that bought it MSRP
Smh
If you paid for it you mightāve gotten leg day fluxies

Yeah they sent me the ones that skipped QC (if there was any QC)
The only switches that have come close to fluxies feel for me are the new raptors
Better wobble and nicer spring take the cake for me
Yeah for the record I still think Fluxes are decent sound, just a lil list of issues
I wish raptors were a tiny bit louder
Itās so weird going from flux to raptor but the feel is there
Enjoy
what did you get :3
I had the original tops but the left earbud stopped working and now Iām reunited with the newest iteration
They also fit better than my astrals which I was not anticipating
paid top dollar for vintage first day fluxes
thatās a W
I couldāve had them day 1 of 30% off discount but I stubbornly didnāt want them then
That being said my legs are all in tact
I broke more owlab clips than anything with fluxies š¤
@sacred elm told me to get them and I told him to fuck off essentially
Then FOMOed myself into getting them before liberation day
That being said I think I used them most between jade pro/POM days
not a huge difference compare to ti he
45g feels so light after getting used to 55g
ewww
but yea sounds pretty gud hehe
acrylic leggera, pp, raptor v2, pbt
The big difference is the bottom wobble
yea this thing is not movin
Owlab moves quite a bit
Raptor is within 90% of TTC POM
Thatās the main selling point, having better top wobble than boxstem and having its bottom wobble be close to 90% with the current stability kings
Without sounding like ass too
anyone got their C1s yet?
i think it is gud if you dont already have ti he or rawhuk
but its meh when i have both :3
personal opinion
Canāt you read unc smh
Iām sure automod is listening closely
i need to cook soon but i may try to put some pingless spring in there later
definitely not a bad switch, just nothing too speical imo
price is decent too
def buy as first foray into aftermarket HE switches
anyone remembers whats the deadzone on jade pro for wooting?
You canāt see the dz in wootility
yea i know because wooting number 1
forgot to bring my wooting to my friend last time i went to cali, so i still have it, feel like changing the settings on it to match my other boards but i dont remember whats the deadzone for jade pro
If thereās a chance of receiving a defective unit, then insinuating that you have to be lucky is true. Normally, you wouldnāt call a 97% chance āluckā, but if you happen to fall into the 3% who get a defective unit, it makes sense to feel that way.
When over 3% of units end up defective despite going through QC, it means either Owlabās QC standards differ significantly from Wootās, or that there are QC issues.
The chance of getting a defective OW60 is low, but technically still higher than the lowest odds on a roulette wheel. So yes, Jakubās wording might overstate the scope of QC issues, but considering heās part of that unlucky 3%, his frustration is completely understandable.
Jakubās comment wasnāt an attack or a jab, it wasnāt even critical of Woot at all. Iām not sure why you took offense to it. You know he received a defective unit, so responding in a hostile way seems uncalled for. In my opinion, it wouldāve been a lot better to point out the improvements Owlab and Woot have made in the second batch rather than respond like this.
i want to make a joke but i dont want to get time out hehe
Deep Clacky fluxies will save us
same for me
after listening to this i made raptor noises
SoonTM

Wanted to look at dust covers again, but now AliExpress won't load pages at any link :(
you havent got it?
I get paid next week, so i guess we mass ordering more switches/caps/case then.
Nope, not yet.
describe it?
like wuts goin on
The Astrolinks had a bit of friction and scratchiness
throughout the press
emmm so it doesn't sound as clean to me compare to ti he, but but but it is really smo difference
Already done
and i think it should be gone once i use them for like idk a week to a month
but key press wise i dont feel anything
Should I get em?

honestly?

no
no and stick to mx duhhh
i think if you get them then you gotta care a lot about the wobble
sound wise its not a big difference to me
thank you for asking, good to know my opinion is a tiny bit meaningful hehe
btw do you want jade pro? since i got raptor now i probably can just put my raws on the wooting board
you can take the jade pro
just pay the shipping
How much shipping?
idk
Cus im trying to save moni for DAC rn
yeee maybe not then, because i feel like geon the goat at some point will save us once more with long springs
since raptor v2 has longer than 15mm spring
Well you got two defective units
Ka11 is nice
deep meow clack
From what I understand owlab was told to recheck the cut outs on the incoming back, so weāll see how their qc is for this batch
Ur fine
The techs are prob much better than daybreaks

And def better than hexas
They would be a good top pro test if he likes those
Well atleast there is few variations of cut outs they made
That were posted on discord
Guys any silent hall effect switch?
silent is at the bottom
Thatās it?
Wait for these to be on Ali, I expect them to be worth the wait: #š§ākeyboard_modding message
if only the top housing was clear for baptors

Wooting doesnāt make the cases. We do give feedback and tell them what we think needs to improve but we donāt control their production
cant have it all king
one day i will have clear top housing and they will be called jade dragon emperor switches and it will have that DEEP clack
Obviously but Woot didnāt get feedback about just the silicone pieces being cut by hand. š
Tikken
Except we did
We gave all that feedback
Best we can do is keep asking for better qc and tell them what weāre not happy with and needs to be fixed
Except my thread then. š„
Wooting folks have read your threads
Just because you donāt always get official replies doesnāt mean the feedback isnāt read
I know, in my thread I list the silicone pieces being cut by hand as the minor issue.
So if just that was communicated to Owlab, I donāt know if theyāll actually fix the problem.
Or attempt to fix the problem rather.
weāll have to see. I do know that the delay in batch 2 being sold was because we requested every unit be unpacked and rechecked but we donāt control that end fully as thatās on owlab side
Was the second batch completely done already?
Iām not sure on the exact timeline there. I just know that it got delayed because of it
Are you gonna get a unit from the second batch?
Yeah, I didnāt request a unit yet because I didnāt want to take stock from the limited extras we have for replacements etc
I see they are doubling down on making the ugliest color combos
I want to know whos in charge of that
those colors should not be mixed š
@tulip rapids get these truss

they need to fire that person asap

are you open mindu?
Do you live alone?
Thatās a key requirement for hongdae guy
what if, i live alone in my room
Hongdae is a state of being
Hey I was in Hongdae
Just get raptors
Manufactured by hejin or hmx?
if you want super super tight go with raptors. The tikkens are roughly around owlab level tightness
tone wise i think they fall roughly somewhere between owlab for that very bright clack and tikkens for the deeper side of clack
HMX

what pcb is this?
says in the picture?
Tofix60, from KBDFans
is it he pcb? I can't seem to find any thing on it
It is, but it isnāt released yet.
hm actually they may release it with the tofu v3
probably next month
Steelseries doesnāt know anything about designing keyboards, wow!
thatll hold well in there
with half the hooks not even being hooked onto anything poor switch
flux recolor with different pa66 bottom, marketing says it sounds deeper, closer to a mech switch
marketing mumbo jumbo
Ok but did they fix magnets
no mention of that
wait why is this an issue
Is for azrty keyboard no?
I think is normal
the hell man š
The ā+ā of switches isnāt symmetrical, so you shouldnāt rotate them by 90° which is the case here. A switch rotated by 90° will put stress on the keycap pole potentially splitting it. Also, most switches donāt have hooks to hold them on the side, so theyād be much less secure in this.
sounds like a design issue ngl but I see
Itās designed by someone who doesnāt know anything about keyboards for sure. You know that the ISO switch is supposed to be sideways after one search lol
I understand what are u talking about
The switch hole need bƩ oriented EST or west not north on south like that
Yep, for ISO enter
Idk how to explain but yeah i see the problem they are acoustic bro
But they created the magnetic switch ?
Steelseries, yeah
Acoustic 50/50
not sure if it was the initiative of steelseries or gateron tho
They are so dumb why they dont put a license something like that
And they are the onlybrand can use this system
Oh they did
lmao
Well
The idea wasnāt new
so I donāt think a patent like that wouldāve worked
(they prob tried)
Worth $2.3
@tawdry tree what do you prefer vella or cloudnine
I dont watch the price is just a number like the other one's for me know
Vella for me I think
Unionwell š of recolors
I will go on this because u are not acoustic like steelseries and i like u bro
For anyone wondering the raptor v2s are restocked on delta key for eu

Looks unholy to me

4000K š£ļø
itās not a bad price at all

less holes in my case please
hrm i haven't seen much mention regarding gateron spark these days. I wonder if the high price killed a lot of regular interest in it
feels like they got a big bang with the initial review rush and campaign, but then silence and everyone just moved on
Rest in peace
How does the Raptor V2 compare to the Ultra Ice in terms of sound and feel? Is it louder or quieter, more clacky or thocky, and does the keystroke feel sluggish when pressed on the edge of the keycap?
Someone maked a sound test but i cant found it srry
more clacky and as far as i know not sluggish
what kinda switch are u looking for?
clacky or deeper?
"thocky"
i think the ultra ice are the deepest sounding

This wasn't a joke, look at the G keycap
that top wobble is nutty
Yup, yup
WHAT IS THIS?
most fairly priced magnetic switch
wait it's a polar pro recolored?

WTF
it gotta be lubed by 100 year old sage
surely itās a mistake

I called it! This is the kind of geometric growth that Grey Goo envies. $1 -> $2 -> $4 -> $8/switch next! š
you know what isnt a mistake, raptor v2. geon my goat
45g long spring, smo wobble, close bottom, reasonable price
raw was a massive step up from jade and lekker
This is where the line between opinion and fact are crossed
Jades didn't stick
is this financial advise?
i think the opinion is popular enough
jade the non pro version is a high pitch mess
Populism isn't everything. Sometimes being right matters.
true
raeds better
gud enough to me for this particular case
who gave unc the phone at 11 am
I'm bored waiting for my 11am meeting to start. And watch your tone young man.
Show me where I am wrong and I will recant
where to start....
Something that is slightly quieter than Ultra Ice, and sort of muted/thockier (Sound as close as possible to Vertex V1)
Wait for tikken then
Raws at the time were goated
They sounded great, but they had sticking issues and self destructed as soon as you touched them.
Depends are you open minded?

I'm (hopefully obviously) being aggressively assertive about my opinions here, but Jades cleared 'em at the time for me. I was in the minority opinion at the time, but that doesn't mean I was wrong, just early š
Their value was pretty good tho for sure
I canceles my original jade order when the raws released on the wooting store
And yes, you were wrong
Raws were built like complete garbage
I'm sorry, but the wrongness is coming from inside the house. I'll be here for you when you are feeling better.
See, I knew there was some sanity left in this channel.
I hope this is not the case with Raptor v2s, they're otw to me
I think I swapped them in a week with Jade Pros lol
Also, and this is very common in here, your response is to tell me that you never actually tried the other thing I was talking about, but that you are stil correct.
Imagine a reviewer telling you that Ford is better than GM, but on the other hand, they've never driven a GM. Would you trust that opinion?
99% of people in this channel would and do, for whatever reason. Vibes, I guess.
Yeah I went to jade pros after them until KoM came out - still riding high on the KoM train to this day, waiting for something to top š
(Tikken save me with your long, luscious travel)
just wait for tikkens
is it normal that the Lekker V2 L60 are lubed very inconsistently?
Not in my experience.
then I guess I was just a bit unlucky
it's not extreme but some keys already start sounding different after 2 weeks
That might be because lube leaked out through the hole
Good news is now you have an opportunity to get some closed bottom switches š
I tried jades, they werenāt mine tho
I agree that raws had issues
Still better than regular jades
How are the raptors
They seem pretty thocky at the expense of some stem wobbles
huh?
š¤Ø
Are mount tai GTās the best of the best switches in terms of precision / stability? Or are there other options.
The spec pages mention +-3gs of flux which seems ludicrous compared to what I previously thought was the best in the ttc snake switches
Which are +-30
Are there also any switches coming out / announced to look at? I have a venom and wooting pcb, donāt care about sound just want schizo peformance
No, Mount Tai switches lost to TTC POMs in stability test.
If you only care about precision, than nothing beats split stem switches like Polar Pro+ and Gateron Spark.
Oh interesting, is there documentation or anything of stability testing to compare switches?
Is precision all that matters for performance? Or can the stem wobble come into play too
Thank you for the help btw š
Mount Tai vs. TTC POM was posted here months ago, you might be able to find it here.
tbh all switches above (except silent) have roughly same performance, so it's not worth chasing literally 0 wobble and tightest magnet tolerances
ic, so if I already had the POMS, going to the polar+ for example would be completely pointless and unnoticeable?
There won't be any difference in performance.
You might notice a bit less bottom wobble though, but Polar Pro+ top wobble is horrendous as you can see here #š§ākeyboard_modding message
That is horrific wow lol
Thanks! Iāll just stick with the poms and try not to schizo out too much
Can the switches really get better from this point?
Like are there even perceptible gains to be made in precision and stability
Or are we already basically at the limit with the current good options
Precision wise I don't think so. Switches like TTC POM can be stable with 0.005RT or something like that lol
Found the stability comparison video #š§ākeyboard_modding message
Goat tyyyyy
amen
Raptor v2?
yea
The dream is dead. Long live the Tikken dream.
just let them break in
thats kinda what i think
Only 1 switch or multiple?
multiple wasd
its like when you press down a key and wiggle it then you feel the squeakiness on your finga
not pleasant
Surely that will go away on it's own
idk feels like ass rn

Hello! Does anyone know if the KBDfans redux plate is compatible with the 60HE? Hereās the link of the product: https://kbdfans.com/products/tofu60-redux-plate?srsltid=AfmBOoo0BIT7WcUG4OVNuLYHgMChdTJ58YU5t-C_jgLoGWJgGm0ecaz8
Iām looking for a PC plate but i much prefer it to be translucent than opaque (like the one in the wooting website)
Specs Material: PC/ Aluminum BlackĀ Compatible with Tofu redux case/461E case/Holy60 case Compatible with Redux 60 RGB ANSI PCB Compatible with both PCB mount stabilizers and plate mount stabilizers Disclaimer: This plate is NOT compatible with durock screw-in stabilizers and Typeplus x YIKB screw-in stabilizer
Raptor v2s have less stem wobble than Raws, sound is subjective.
can you hear it
personally wont recommend raptor just because of the shit happening to me
get ti he or ice ultra
that was me holding down a and w and wiggling it
like you would holding a key in game
I had one that sounded lil more plasticky, but everything else was fine for me
not going to go schizo over 1 switch
Waow i thought you did a very light tap
Or creak a cheap mouse
do you need to hold down keys in game and are you gentle with it?
so emmm i abuse it a little and the sound goes away, but still feels weird on the finga
probably just needs break in but man š
š¤Ø
I play hold to lean tarkov so i bottom out QE pretty frequently which is why i didnt like owlabs that much, but i haven't noticed anything else other than that 1 key. Id say im more medium on gentle scale (nothing crazy, but i dont go super light)
Why did you post it two times lol
bad switches happen, but thats why its nice to have extra spares
i kinda hold the key down a bit harder in val from tension
it happened on my S key if that means anything to you
I send them mail but they are sleeping
Or we have polar pro
Kinda same
But less thock
they probably sell in bulk lol
I found them on buyee but the vendors delete them
Why idk
they are raciste bro
Go on raptor or polar pro+ they are better i think
They cant sell us switches bro so this mean they are raciste
Is simple you wont give me switch you are racis6

did you just swap it out
or you tried to fix it
I swapped it out for a side TKL key
not rly
I have like 6 other extras too
So Iām not going to indulge fixing it unless I need to
Calm down low taper
Or if it becomes widespread which I doubt
Wtf
Stop this nonsense, both of you
Fortnite
make sense
probably try the same later, was in game so responses were slow mb :3
go back to general with this shitš
not sry though
What is the name of the gif pls
pls take this to dms š š
Penus mod
i dont think playin with weiners everywhere is kb modding but ight
yall are lost souls š„
am trying to check every key with the same wiggle thingy i was doing to see how many of them are fcked
give me a sec
@crude tulip Final warning. Drop it or I'm gonna issue a timeout.
where was my warning
you're a grown man compared to these kids
What you're posting is so childish and not funny.
its around like 5-6 keys for 2 rows i tested, wiggling causes squeaky sound
Hi arc
Anyone else's owlab ti he switches getting crunchy/grindy over time? I had couple like that out of the box and now my W key which was previously fine is starting to get it too.
ti he getting crunchy too
have had them for few months
it's back to jade pros now
did you get any of the newer ones?
Rip
the latest I had were POMs and duhuks which I hated
and Im on MX now
How do they get crunchy?
It's a real shame. I love the switches but yeah, they don't seem great in terms of lasting. But I think I'll just try lubing them myself at some point.
i was gonna go back to mx but then i put ti he on salvation60 and now its my favorite board
idk but i love crunchy switches
Youāre typing on your Raptor mx arenāt you
I think you can get a switch or two that just has unlucky factory lubing
Lying about Jade pros ic
see how fast that was, 3.0mm travel, 1.0mm actuation
just doomsaying
actually it aint that bad... i just tried the same on a different board and it can happen to other switches too, maybe the thing that was happening before got me oversensitive with this
LOL
still, that earlier sound file is real, maybe it really does take a tiny bit of time to break in
Yeah I did. But this switch was fine before and now it's also getting crunchy.

Checking back here for the first time in a while to see what decent tkl options are out there that dont have garbage tier support. Is venom tkl the best option atm?
I like my TTC poms though
imo yes
maybe the hex80 one
If you like loud clacky keyboards, yes
I did see that in passing, ill check it out more
rakka 80 is also tkl, but it's a prebuilt
and not sure abt their support
Lel
i dont really trust rakka after some random test i saw on bilibili
i dont remember what it failed but it failed some test
Thanks!
Just don't look at the calluses on my palms

Flexing on us with caš² h money and a custom wristrest
Opinions on jade pro vs raptor 2?
Bro that wrist rest is just a piece of my floor that I cut out when we had some flooring left over from a re-model of the houses
probably failed a math test cause TKL is 87-88 keys

Oh and now he's flexing on us with homeownership WILL IT NEVER END
nah it was some deadzone related thingy
i didnt know they had keyboards in the like 1600s
jade pro is kinda old at this point
(i have no idea what exact time period the princes flag was used)
i think it was round 1600
now im worried i got dutch history wrong
This is the kinda thing that keeps most of us up at night
we dont talk about the current state of the housing market, LEL
Screwed from both ends - current owners can't move either cause the rates are effed
@crude tulip Timed you out. Come back with a better attitude, or you will be permanently banned.
Did I miss something? must've
W foreshadow
@tropic urchin i feel delulu rn. now the squeaky thingy only happends on W and only from time to time
Hmm
Grease 'em up like a wittle piggy?
Might be worth lubing the problematic switch
yeah LEL
See if it returns
imma open it up and check
If it doesnāt then you have your answer @kind helm
It would suck, but itās a 1 time thing or worst case just lube the spring
i took out out, put on a key cap then try to wiggle
doesnt happen anymore while its out
i am certified delulu
You missed that aligner was tossed into shadowrealm
You stay long enough in here everyone adds a lil delulu
Switch is probably tired and had a long day
another mystery. pain
will know for sure tomorrow, not gaming tonight. if i dont notice it tomorrow then i say break-in somehow fixed it
did my goat aligner really get banned
Huh?
i have a base model 60he and im having problems with my cable being loose and having miss inputs does anybody have a guide on how to change the female usb c?

What do you mean by loose? Like you can wiggle the cable and keyboard gets disconnected?

if your usb c port is broken you need to replace it which would involve soldering, probably not something that an easy guide exists for
nah its jus wiggles alot and sometimes my key inputs press them selves
Seems to be a trend
Wiggle is normal if the keyboard stays connected.
Check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8ojU_8ASVE
If you are experiencing your keyboard pressing random keys and opening programs, then you came to the right video. The issue is usually caused by an instable amount of voltage entering the board. Follow along to see what you can do about it.

yea i had to change cables i didnt know about to much voltage ill mess with my brightness and other things
can we preorder the new 60he yet or no
v2? No.
Yeah
Take ur meds
Tough call. I think JTK mainly to not have the green spill out of its symmetry
Gn
acrylic leggera, pp, raptor v2, jtk abs
MashaAllah brozer
need a keykobo or gmk set at some point still
Maybe once that federal funding comes back šļø
heard everything got cut except for one but since its not my field i dont remember exactly which
See thatās what Iām worried about with raptor v2. That theyāre so tight maybe some switches have friction issues that I donāt see on my set/usage
Itās odd only joshiba is seeing it so far though
i had one raptor v2 with some pretty bad spring ping
spring ping will be interesting because normally i never have any spring issues due to hand lubing all my switches and springs, but now i'm not hand lubing due to needing them stock for comparison tests
generally i don't mind spring stuff as much because that's fixable, but the friction stuff does worry me
although so far it's only joshiba who was able to get it happening right? I don't think any of rest of us have seen any friction issues
I havent installed my raptors yet cause i want to try them on fr4
So waiting for plate first
yep my experience reads like a mental melt down i cant deny that
so what i know is
- it can definitely happen since that sound file exists, so i am not completely delulu
- i am not sure if it is a thing that just requires some amount of break in or not, since i can't consistently reproduce it and i can't find any issue with the switch once I took it out. (the key stroke sounds clean to me when i put it close to my ear as well)
- it does not happen during normal typingļ¼at least not in a really noticible way), because i was doing a bunch of monkey type when i just got the switch, and i never caught it.
Everyone else probably honeymoon phase on the 10th set of switches they purchased
hey all - custom keyboard guy here whos also into gaming
had my wooting for a while but been thinkinga bout getting switch pads for them, seen some people do it. obviously, with the magnetic switch it has potential for interference with accuracy, but has anyone had any experience with switch pads w their wooting and experience with the 'intereference'?
that sounds so good
pink fluxies
generally not recommended. They cause inaccuracy in your press, even if unnoticed
there's been a few cases here of boards just misactuating after switch pads were installed
and even if you don't get that issue it's basically guaranteed that your presses will be more inaccurate (we've had to add extra compensation calibration in the past just to make o ring mods not cause actuation issues, and switch pads introduce even more movement than that)
How hard do you press down on your switch while playing? Could it also be because of pp plate?
Itās not funny if you gave to explain it
I lolād here
And cringed here
Sony making HE keyboard
Yeah cool lineup of products tbh
got any link to see it?
so they are making an HE keyboard and not HE sticks for playstation...
I do love me some Sony although I worry about software support since thatās been a weak point with their other products
Open bottom he switch
that too lol
i'm still waiting on shutter angle for my sony camera
would be such a nice quality of life option that sony just refuses to add to non fx cameras
Open bottom with 3.4 travel distance, weird
so we letting sound to leak nice
bottom out floor in the stem hole prob has a increase in thickness so that's prob why its a reduce travel switch while being open bottom
i could be wrong though but that's what it's been looking like in the HE scene of closed bottom
They dropped a nice mouse too
I just got my new mouse today
Pumped to use it. Feels good so far
