I also want to mention the progression of the spring weight in the switches, wooting's lekker starts at 45g and bottoms out at 60, gateron reds actuate at 45g (2.0mm travel distance) and bottoms out at 60, which means gaterons switch has a much lighter starting force (approx, 25-30g) compared to the lekker switch, gateron's red switch feels more exponential and bouncy which allows the fingers to naturally move up and down, compared to the lekker which has a really bad feel using the switches

In other words, you'd probably perform better/faster on a gateron red switch that theoretically has rapid trigger, rapid trigger isn't done much justice on their crap lekkers tbh.

The biggest issue is the weight

Biggest issue is not the weight. Lekkers aren't the best feeling switches out there, because they are very wobbly and they might feel a bit mushy due to open bottom. Try something else, for example Owlab Ti. They have way less wobble than Lekkers, travel distance is also less (3.5mm closed bottom instead of 4mm open bottom), You have two spring weight options, 40g bottom out and 50g bottom out, depending on your preference.

V2s have the same weight distribution so it'd perform just as bad as the first version

The exponential weight matters a lot

I don't care too much about sound or stability, I care about performance

Spring weight has no impact on performance, because you have adjustable actuation point and rapid trigger. It's all about sound and feel and because of that Lekkers are way worse than Owlab or any other new HE switch

Everyone keeps calling venom "not beginner friendly". I guess that's one way to describe it, but as someone who wanted to know what that meant, I can say with some confidence it's just a worse experience in almost every way compared to Wooting.

The only thing I can think of that Venom offers is some of the things you can configure. Everything else from the build to the software is either worse or just more of a pain in the ass 🤷

Which case do you have? If it's Tofu60 Redux, it is recommended to buy grounding sponge and place it near the USB port to ground the PCB

its the tofu60 redux cant i just screw the top right screw in to ground it? it will kinda destroy the feeling tho so i might get the sponge anyways

You can do that, but right side will be a bit stiffer than the left. It will still feel and sound better than screw-in
