They feel great for me
None of these worked
Also maybe the silver cf plate doesnt have the best cutout… so who knows
Or best QC
Looks like Satin60
Likely an isolated case but the stabs feel great on my build
the adaptive stabs are good. They're among the 3 recommended ones by most keyboard folk in korea
the 3 being swagkey knight, typeplus and designer studio adaptive stabs
I think maintenance free
My buddy did this, I needed help as the simple way was not going well, probably need tho
I still had to lube mine, but they aren't bad at all
just decent stabs like sw knights
But like maybe its placebo but they actually adapt
None of these worked, all scratchy
So either lucky fit or there is something to the adaptability
And they are smooooooth
Zero complaints
Thanks, I guess I will order a bunch
keep in mind asdasmos had issues due to the hole of his custom plate
so i wouldn't just randomly order a ton of those stabs for yourself for no reason
I'm pretty sure the KBDfans Tofu60 CF and FR4 plates should be fine tho
the bigger question is more do you have a reason you need stabs?
my current ones aren't really all that good, I tried tuning them multiple times and they just have too much wobble
they don't feel good to use
Try 1 set
you might be a more typeplus path if you want less wobble
This is true but also for anyone else having stab issues or want to set and forget…
the actual fit of stabs is different and not all stabs are the same tightness as far as fit and wobble goes because less wobble isn't always desired
for example some people don't like the typeplus stabs because they want a tad more movement, so they go knights instead
I definitely learned this haha
the typeplus ones are the current 'tightest' wobble wise if that's your concern basically
I have these and im sure they are good but they didnt sync with the silver cf
Maybe adaptive stabs are for special cases
yeah but your situation with silver cf is unique because iirc your plate wasn't designed for most stabs
But I think there is something to it
i mean for aerobrake not you
he's using a regular fit plate so any of the usual suspects should fit no problem
oh i see
Can you explain adaptive mounts for dummies? (ie me)
ill go look them up
it's nothing different, adaptive isn't talking about how it's mounted, it's talking about the structure inside the stabs
your adaptive stabs are mounted the same way as all the other stabs you tried, but the fit of their build was probably a tad smaller so it managed to fit into your cf plate that was meant for plate mount
tl;dr is your cf silver plate was supposed to be for plate mounted stabs, you had a bunch of screw in stabs so they didn't fit. The designer studio ones just happened to be small enough to fit despite not being designed to fit that type of plate fitting
Even the tx ap plate mount didnt work
yeah so basically the hole was not designed/qc'd the same way as every other plate for whatever reason and that's what led to your stab issues
Yeah QC issue most likely
It was my second
Both were different
But hey
If anyone has unrelenting stab issues
There is also designer studio haha
anyone notice stuff im missing before i screw myself? 😂
stabs coming seperate, sold out on geonworks
Missing a wooting
i assume you have switches already?
yea sitting on my desk
the price difference was wild
the wooting module was the same price ( little more even) than this venom build that has a case included
once i add stabs it's basically even
but the wooting built would be adding extra for more shipping costs from different places
Apologies, im just making a joke
don't gotta apologize
i was just baffled at the difference
I just like poking fun at guys buying venom in the wooting discord
They should release a budget pcb
Wooting really missing out on a potential segment
the one there should become the budget option after the 60 is brought up to 80he standards
Why not a wooting pcb with decent specs, no gimmicks for 100$ pcb only
I agree
Keep the 60+ and 80 etc but then have a budget or just pcb option
A lot of people just change everything but the pcb anyways…
Think of all the dolphins going to choke on all those lekkers
at that point it's a venom with lights tho
so idk if it's worth it for them
yep...😬
Yeah exactly, fight geon head on
Id buy wooting over venom if they had the same option and I was looking at that form factor
Take care of all customers
Wooting has a good ‘moat’ so to speak
But you need a cheaper option otherwise the other brands will hollow you out, some people simple just dont have the budget…. Or want to spend 200 only to keep just the pcb
I dont even bother with lekkers
(sorry wooting, still love you)
i got owlabs for this build coming
Nice, I hear people like em
they were cheaper here and i havn't seen bad stuff said about them
because wooting can never compete in budget category
you'd have to cut the same corners, drop projects, rnd etc to compete with full asia based brands. Would become a race to see who can cut more to win the budget battle and it's not something any higher end brand should jump into
They couldn’t just sell a no frills 60% pcb for 100$ with no lights?
Seems easy
the question is if they do that then what do they cut
waste of time with geon there with faster performance already anyway, no?
Not my company
Maybe they make it in volume
I dont know enough about their internals to give a good answer
But if it was me I would explore
i'd never personally
you'd be shooting yourself in the foot
changing a high end brand into a budget brand and eventually still losing and having to cut a lot of things that premium brand customers want
What about pcb only
do you want 4 year warranty, lots of staff employed not in asia, rnd on random projects that may not go anywhere but are interested/fun, hiring dedicated graphic designers and usability designers
the pcb is the reason people buy wooting and where they likely make their margin to be able to do a lot of the stuff they do
if you cut out that you're basically saying "i want to compete with china now while having all the other premium stuff that chinese companies don't support" and you'd either eventually lose or cut all your profit out and make no money trying to beat china at their own game
It doesnt need to be all that
Venom is Korean
Geon is a decent brand
And a lot of people here have both
venom is largely made in china and geon owns his own factory etc and korean wages are much lower
Wonder why
asia brand is very different to a company that operates in multiple places, one being EU with higher wages and factors
Or even moved to venom
and keep in mind venom is missing a lot of the bells and whistles
Anyways, agree to disagree
Id argue to explore
Maybe they could
Maybe they couldnt
i'd argue that if they did that they would be killing their own brand
We will never know
it would be exploring a quick death
there's a lot of little things that add up in being able to do ultra budget stuff
for example how many brands do profit sharing with employees or have a full time UX designer on board
to compete long term at a $100 price point those are the things you'd slowly have to give up, and even if you do china will crush you in that regard eventually
Thats why im saying we have no idea on their internals unless you know more
well calder has straight up said it so we do have some idea
Okay well that kills it then
Cant argue with that
they cannot compete on pricing with china at all basically and he's said that repeatedly on streams
Forgive my ignorance
it's fine, nothing wrong with being curious about stuff
Never watched a stream
the tl;dr is he said to be able to compete with china they'd have to cut a lot of corners that they don't want to cut, so they'd rather compete at a higher price bracket and aim to deliver other things like better user experience and warranty etc
geon has mentioned previously as well that he basically uses pcbs as his path to sell his other products
Id agree and appreciate
So he sells it at cost or close to then makes it up on accessories?
yep
he uses the pcb as a way to get folks interested in all the other stuff he does like cases etc
maybe a silly question
anyone tried burger mounting the leggera?
i imagine folks don't bother with that because it's got a proper o ring mount option
it can't in the leggera, but folks here have venoms too
yea fair
wooting o ring mounts in other cases/optimum case has dedicated method
do you know if i need to buy seperate screws with the venom?
can't tell based on product page
it should come with it, at least the one I assembled for friend in korea did. i don't know if the kits are different for international
ok, ill just hope they have them, cool
i imagine i can get something that works cheap anyway
thanks 👍
i'm sure one of the international venom owners here can tell you like arc or cam when they're awake
yeah looks like it is thanks
Looks like barely anyone has the case though theres only like 3 pics of it lol
does venom 60he has functions like modtap? thanks ahead for answering
love buying 2$/pc switches with qc issues
it does have mod tap, but not the other analog stuff
what does analog do
Something happen or just happy
self scam, sucks 2 suck

so if i just want rt and modtap i should be fine right?
yeah venom has that
Whoa
Plus the legs
And then charged 20$ for 10
Matrix dodge for me
How could they not do proper QC for that price ☠️
Gateron at least refunded me for the shi**y jade maxes
Respect to them for that even though their switches are wanting
If wuque doesnt replace or refund then forget them…
Rip, at least you managed to be enlightened
i mean the performance is really decent but the driver is very mid
and i think usps lost my package as well
what happen
👆
looks like final pulsar x2f will be between 30 to 40g
if it's around 35g i'm fine with that I think. Roughly finalmouse weight with better fingertip sizing/shape
yeah they are going for crazylight kind of design for all their main line-up now
Poms still better
raeds are their own niche of people who want that thing
Thats extreme cope on wuques part
yeah imagine not using ttc snakes
Placebo maxing
I wonder how ppl like them in korea
tee hee exist too
i'm sure they'll have their own following here since korea has many fans of the topres and such
i don't really put ti he and magneto in same bucket. One is box stem and one isn't so they're different switches for different folks
one is good sound and feel, one is good placebo
arcwyn taken over ragebaiting in others absence lol
whats wrong with pom feel
they feel very good
haha well im trying to keep it between people that know whats up
nah im playing
I got pom in my build🤠
not even flux 😃👍
ultimately I probably would like ti he for feel a bit more, but since I have HE and MX, I maximize performance on HE
and MX is for actual good sound and feel
this is actually very cool
Finally swapped them all
I still can’t decide between gt80 and Zinc alloy , the white one looks awesome
gt80
ball catch design is so cool, especially if you plan to swap plates/mod your keyboard
fuck screws
ti he look kinda cool with the ghost case
Should I order additional badges?
Def! And the sound is 👌👌👌
If you want different color badges then yeah
who was it that showed their order with every single badge and buckle option lol
i remember someone posted a photo of that and they had 12 badges added or something crazy
lol
i do think the white case with the badge stuff swapped to white would look nicer than the white/gold theme for most setups
Is side badge and strap buckle same?
Nvm saw it
has anyone a recommendation for some creamy sounding HE switches? ive looked at the sheet but i dont know how to like imagine what it would sound like. im very new to keyboard modding so any help would be great
https://wootingmods.com/switchguide/ look under the 'best sound' section at the top, there's sound tests

Paretty sure those dont exist yet
if “creamy” had a solid definition I’d agree
but anything can be creamy
it’s in the ear of the beholder
🤣
Ohh ok it should Sound deep and damp definetly not clacky
most switches are clacky
give up, embrace clack
ill buy another jade pro switch from amazon uk, there is 3 brand. YMDK,GUYEKS,KUTETHY. Is there any difference or should I go to cheapest one
is it worth it to buy external copper weight for frog mini leggera?
No difference, just different sellers.
I would recommend getting owlab ti he switches instead, they are cheaper and have less wobble
@sacred elm sadly I cant find it on amazon uk 😦
Its not on amazon
@sacred elm I already have gateron jade pro on my wooting 80he zincoy. So, you think buying these instead of gateron pro is a good idea ?
Yes
@sacred elm it seems its heavier then gateron j pro around 5-10 gr. 0.2mm instead of 0.1mm and less total travel. I really hated how heavy is l60 but, Im not sure if I feel different between 35g and 45g. Will give a shot. Will buy it from unikeyboards, I hope they deliver to UK
Wot
They both can do 0.1mm if you mean actuation. Also they have the same weight, both are 35/50g. Jade pros will feel heavier initially, because of longer spring.
ah unikeyboards says like this:
Damn weird sounding thock coming out of those switches
I like the sound of jade pro actually but it is really different and can hear sometimes woobling which makes me crazy about it
LOL
bought 110 just a few minutes ago
but will buy owlab ti because Im rich and why not
I have wooting pack for remove switches etc but my fingers getting really bad, is kemove p10 is effective or you guys know really better one ?
i don't blame you, they're really cheap
Why dont you try poms then
I mean bought 110 pack of gpro 😄
what is poms
ah okay

Full POM King Magnetic Switch Technical data: Initial force:35±5gf Initial Magnetic Flux:100±15Gs(PCB1.2mm), 90±15Gs(PCB1.6mm) Final Magnetic Flux: 640±50Gs(PCB1.2mm), 480±50Gs(PCB1.6mm) Pre Travel: Customized Total Travel:3.4±0.2mm Lifetime:100million Spring: 21mm Smoother & Cozy & Durable Full POM
is it has better typing experience rather than gpro ? and how is their sound profile tho
Almost no wobble, muted clack because pom soft
ah they dont come pre lubed ?
They come with 3 small dots like its a joke
Totally different experience with lube and non lube imo
Still the best switch out rn imo
You can probably tell from the way I talk that I’m completely new to this and just starting out. I also lubed about 10–15 of the JPRO switches myself. But even though I lubed all of them the same way, each one somehow sounds different. By the way, I watched Wooting’s video and followed it for the lubing process. After the first 10 switches, I stopped lubing the springs and only lube the part at the top of the switch that looks like a "+" symbol.
Fair enough
In that case unless you can find someone to do it for you, find another switch
Honestly, it’s not possible for me to find someone who can do it for me; I genuinely want to learn. In fact, right now I’m designing a 9-key mini HE switch test PCB and will be ordering it soon. I want to build a full-size keyboard tailored to my own preferences. But the funny part is, I can’t even properly lube switches yet, haha 😄 (I’m an electrical-electronics engineer and a software developer.)
How did they fk this up so badly? Its not even their first he switch right?
It is
2$/pc switches with scuffed magnet tolerances and not fully non-magnetic springs
💀
Brutal
Sounds like a legit reason for a refund
Gateron refunded me
Interesting business strategy for sure, lets see how it pans out for them
AYAYAY I bought gateron jpro for 0.65 paund for each key actually
I'd try to get them refunded too, maybe wait for a later batch when they get their shit together
Breathe deep brother
😦
🥀
Just fyi, these issues have nothing to do with poms
For another switch if you dont know
Honestly your best use of this emote
I feel it
Especially if no refund
Ws keycap puller + tx switch puller
waste of money.
actually no, it’s not a terrible option but it has the same issue as gateron’s one where it scratches the plate. if that doesn’t matter to you, you could get it.
I think gateron’s one is cheaper still though, at least from ali. @torpid silo
Around the same price https://a.aliexpress.com/_EJyJpl0
opinion on external copper weight for frog mini leggera
the infamous cf weight
Yeah I couldn’t even bring myself to type the word weight lol
okay bough gateron pro + owlab ti switches not gonna buy switch puller, will stick with wooting ones, sad for my finger.
I hope ttc steals the ocatagon stem design from ws and puts snek magnets in them, everything in pom
Ican live with bad factory lubing personally, but ws qc issues are too much for me
Can you call something that weighs less than 150 grams a "weight"
What
For the looks maybe
Octagonal poms will be goat
when r they dropping a wooting 40he
That’d be dope
lol prob never
Heavier also
Like acrylic with copper would be solid but still light
Acrylic with cf light feel like paper lol
Still want to try it tho
I really want to make a lightweight travel setup
Even tho I don’t really travel and have never needed to take my computer with me lol
anyone on that has a gt-80?
Yep
i might just buy the weight later / when i purchase smthg from geon again
nvm its fine i thought i was missing screws but im just dumb
If it’s worth it to you, then sure
my leggera g is arriving on monday
Missing my leg (gera)
crunch
My Frogs 🐸
🫦

has anyone tried that slice75HE board? is it just another HE board everyone will forget about in a month?
Did you paint the raw zinc?
Yeap
I gave it to the experts for painting. All I know is that it is polyurethane paint.
Ohh, thanks for that info
Also I have a question since my raw case is gonna come in next week, how is the coating and everything, does it get chipped just like the other zinc and is the oxidation any problem later on?
Honestly, I can't answer your questions. I just got my keyboard not long ago
Ohh, that’s fine, I would believe a bit peaceful if I knew the answers
Also is it really heavy?
Sold my leg(to get the gera)
I have an alumaze and it feels sorta like holding a small form factor gpu (like two fan two slot)
But zinc is denser and heavier then aluminum
Idk the alumaze feels really nice
I do wish it were a tad heavier
Zinc60 when
I know but poms is top1 for me
2 kg fully built
People who got the TTC KOM did you need to re-lube it ?
Yes
Hey guys, what's the difference between the switches? I don't really know much about keyboards
lekkers cheap but most people don' like them
geon raws or one of the ttc switches recommended
mostly price. RAWs are cheapest and were the king of performance for low cost, but Owlab TI HE switches currently have that crown atm.
POM will have the least amount of stem wobble since they're box stem (you will need to lube them), but will be more expensive than the others listed on Wooting's website
Thanks a lot
wouldnt recommend jades since they're outdated and lekkers are ok if you want a quieter switch
my recommendation would be to find some Owlab TI HE switches if you can, if not RAWs on a 20% discount is a pretty good bet for a nice cheap switch
https://unikeyboards.com/products/owlab-ti-he-magnetic-switches?variant=51442572689726 if you are interested
The Ti He Magnetic switch is OWlab's first HE switch release. Compatibility: HE Magnetic switches are only compatible with Hall Effect PCBs, including but not limited to Wooting HE+, KBDfans HE series, Geonworks HE PCBs, Rakka, Nuphy, Melgeek, Matrix Lab HE kit, and others. The Ti HE Magnetic switches are not compatibl

bought this today, anyone know when they can deliver it to UK ?
They didnt give time and if they cant deliver in 10 days Ill fcked up xD
if you got it thru unikeys, you can try writing to them or asking in their discord
Also u guys know better keycaps for my black wooting 80he zincoy. Im using default pbt keycaps for uk layout. It would be cool to see nocftua colors tho.
yep buy it from them, thanks will try it
🫦
anyone know of any keycaps that look like this? I like the black alphas and grey outside.
can't find any
my layout do be kinda dumb tho 😭
That's gmk
Propably
guess i gotta set up some stuff to get # and <>
they're on the slice75 keyboard which costs like 150$ fully built so i doubt it
ngl, 6.25u is my fav layout..
but the 7u is calling me rn
and i kinda regret buying the 6.25u

Well it looks like gmk kinda
why is shift even so big
can we get a ortholinear venom 60
why gmk too lazy to remove the lil plastic things from the molds
also having the lil bumps on F and J would be cool
also a white alt would make it more symmetrical 🤔
nah at this point better get a 7u pcb, just keep the mod keys different color
I feel like white alt would be kinda weird
lol clean keycaps tho
annyone else get the feeling like they've made a mistake after spending hundreds on a keyboard?
I was looking at the Ceramics. Are they worth getting?
https://unikeyboards.com/products/owlab-ti-he-magnetic-switches?variant=51442572689726 or TTC Kom RGB?
The Ti He Magnetic switch is OWlab's first HE switch release. Compatibility: HE Magnetic switches are only compatible with Hall Effect PCBs, including but not limited to Wooting HE+, KBDfans HE series, Geonworks HE PCBs, Rakka, Nuphy, Melgeek, Matrix Lab HE kit, and others. The Ti HE Magnetic switches are not compatibl
What does the RGB mean?
They make three version of the TTC KoM switch. The basic, the rgb focused one, the POM one
You still can see the RGB on the POM tho
The KOM RGB features a transparent PC (polycarbonate) housing, which is designed to enhance RGB lighting visibility, while the KOM POM uses a full POM (polyoxymethylene) housing
Thanks @austere creek
Cannot decide between these 2 tho
If you dont hand lube get owlab ti hes
They got rgb?
Yes
Which one would have better visibility tho?
RGB version
TTC KOM RGB?
pom version still has decent rgb, get poms
This tbh
I have the POM version and the RGB is excellent
@sacred elm ho0ly fuck thank god you told me to buy the fr4 plate early on Aliexpress. They shipped it the next day and then it wasn't availiable anymore on Aliexpress holy.
Mine is in transit so thank god
Oof
@sacred elm are these the switches you talking about
I didn't want to order them yet because if since my plate gets cancel. I didn't want the switches
hi all plan to do a venom 60he build, but the foams ran out of stock in the US
is there any other alternative foam/plate for venom 60he?
I don’t own any
There’s some others here that do
Personally I wouldn’t get them cuz I don’t go for “thock”
Gotcha, I thought maybe they'd be something different.
Ahh, I just read read a message on here stating that they have quality control issues and the letters will fade quickly because they're printed on.
are awekeys keycaps good
I was looking at those as well.
does this come with venom pcb + case for 85?
and i'd just need stabs, caps and switches?
it already includes stabs (cherry screw in iirc) but the other 2 is yes
oh damn
this seems like a decent deal then, thanks
Finally made up my mind got my mini Leggera ordered. Small bits and pieces left till im fully ready to embark on my first Keyboard build!
awekeys or ceramics which one should I get
personally i would just get normal plastic caps instead
Can anyone confirm what foam set can work on venom 60he?
The venom 60he foam set is oos, looking for plate that’s compatible with the pcb
Thanks ahead for answering
The foam set is in stock on Geon’s website. There’s also one by Hyperboring you can score on Taobao.
Try to get them from a us website tbh
So I would have to order from geon?
are there US websites that sell venom at good price??
besidses the kbdfans case bundles
everywhere i looked was like 30$ extra plus the same shipping cost
only tiger gaming lite bundles iirc
Divinikey is always good when it comes to Geon’s stuff; pretty much acts as their main reseller in the US. You can reach out to them and see if they’ll be restocking the foam set anytime soon.
Yeah. Divinikey has a Discord. Link is on their website.
So, question does the keycaps or the switches give the most difference in sound?
Switches by far
Divinikey? Yes they do
Keycaps do make a decent difference though
I already have the OWLAB Ti HE switches and since I can't decide on keycaps I was just going to go with GMK.
Yes, all my previous non wooting keyboards
Both honestly
Its usually a combination of both to get the sound you want.
I'm assuming GMK and Owlab's will sound alright together.
That’s good
A good combo if you enjoy clack
Can’t go wrong with owlabs and gmk
I believe my other keyboard is clacky.
SA or Mt3 for a more deeper sound
Unless u want that TikTok/yt short “creamy thock”
I have Durock Clear 55g Creamy Yellow's and MGK Lazer in an Alpine65.
If it sounds good it's probably clack
I personally thought the Cerakey's Ceramic sounded pretty good but I've read people say mixed things about them.
Though they're thocky in sound.
My Creamy Yellow's are hand lubed and filmed.
Trueueuee
Yoooo beautiful, nice color and work!
Share the details in wootstation pls
Well, this is my first GMK set and I did expect the shine but the fingernail mark!? lmao
time to send an email
unless you mean you did that??
it’s def from use but I just didn’t expect the plastic to be so soft that I left fingernail mark lmao
😂
I guess that’s abs for ya 🥹
doea anyone know if there is a tiger lite gaming-esque bundle for the 60% venom? I want the smaller form factor but i'm seeing it coming out to like 450CAD once built
Nah haven’t seen one
there was something from kbdfans with tofu redux, might have ended already
but I think getting leggera + venom is still cheaper
yea leggera one was cheaper than that but shipping is killing me
it's like a 30% increase on price
unfortunate
leggera and venom are both also on aliexpress, maybe try there
though there is a markup from vendors there
so might turn out the same
When will they restock venom mx🥀
This probably gets asked here a lot, but I just got the Wooting x Optimum case and 60HE+ module. I’m aiming to build for a thocky sound profile.
So far, I’ve installed:
• PET film under the case foam
• Stock Poron case foam
• Tempest tape mod (2 layers)
• IXPE 0.5mm switch pads
• Hand-lubed Gateron Magnetic Jade Pro switches (previously hand-lubed Lekker L60 v2)
• Lubed stabilizers with Band-Aid mod
• CustomKBD POM plate
• Ranked POM keycaps
I’m currently using the friction-fit mount (silicone pad) that came with the Optimum case.
Is there anything else I should consider adjusting to push the sound even deeper and rounder? Or is this pretty much as thocky as the Optimum/Wooting setup can realistically get?
Are jade pros thockiest?
What is the best wooting keyboard switch? There isn't a 'best' and things like sound can be subjective, but there are a few switches that are popular based on different preferences. Here are some rough suggestions: Lekker V2 pros: Very cheap when purchased from wooting via prebuilt or in a 70/90 set with a module
‘Thockiest’ ive heard have been with cerakeys but that is a whole other can of works
See if sound can be improved with different switches but its hard to get thock apparently
I just hear ‘embrace the clack’ lol
Yes but they do have a noticeable clack on the bottom out
yeah not ready to drop that much on keycaps
I stayed away from Gateron after I unfortunately bought the Jade Maxes
All 160 of them
QC is an issue too
Just how it is at the moment with HE switches we don't really have a thock equivalent like MX switches
Embrace the clack for now
yeah i think that would be my only option i order a pom plate going to see how that changes the sound profile. It driving nuts lol i have tried ever trick I know I cant seem to change the sound profile a whole lot might be the case
You could try pom on pom
Switch to ttc kom pom
If you want thock switch to mx
👆
The closest was pet film on the pcb then a ixpe switch pad but that messed with my actuation and left some keys not even inputing so although it sounded great it didnt help lol
Basically its like this… if you are able to achieve thock on an HE board currently, you will have cracked the code and you will be elevated to bishop autist here and be revered
Hasnt happened yet
Yeah exactly what I am thinking I may have to find a plate that can fit the 60he module that is thin enough for me to stack and sandwich film and foam that also may work the best. Epdm and poron foam seem to not alter the sound with optimum case
https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV13FoFYAEh4
imagine if i put a bunch of foam in this
Its a goal for sure almost every board i have built the thock as been a simple achievement the optimum board has me scratching my head lol
I wish you luck good sir
Doesn't\ help that almost every key sounds different as well
is the owlab TI + cf plate good?
Topre
monday or tuesday, i will receive geon's packet 🙂
probably depends on the board
and preference
My build
let's make the clackiest venom he
Oh to be able to type with two hands rn, I would be in clack heaven

lil bro arm still broken?
i have been gone for a week already
heal faster smh

anyone have advice on where to look for keyboard building stuff? I want to build something, not even necessarily HE anymore due to pricing, but google just gives me plastic keychron stuff that I'm not too interested in
search harder
so frogson recommends hipyo

YO
perfect, i'll grab a 60$ thock keyboard from amazon
new ttc "legend" switch releasing with melgeek clone
probably more similar to ttc rgb stuff
ok, cool
The amount of strain I'm putting onto my arm rn
looks like a uranus recolor to me
I took 1 hr unlubing, lubing, and mix matching stab wires with sw knights just for my space bar
Was such a painnnn
Worth it ig
whats that
Some shi to clean my retainers
fancy
right side sounds different from the middle and left but we dont talk about that

Better than what it was before
Milky yellow, sw knights, cherry wire lubed with krytox
skill issue
Meh meh meh, this is where lp switches saves the day
man ttc really doing the 19274929 minor variations of same switch thing recently
MelGeek got the Tai’e and Madlions a recolor of that 😭
Mmm, copy
TTC playing both sides
Edging us frfr

Clear tops are slowly disgusting me
PC is all there is to see

btw i just played badminton after not playing for 2 years, my body hurts, my self esteem ruined.
Skill issue

Nylon can be clear too 🥰
(How to cross off words on mobile)
2 of "~" on each side of the phrase
Gateron’s “create your own switch” will have a nylon top and bottom for sure!
skill issue

it will stop being good
would just sound dead
Gateron where my clicky he switch

Ugh thock and clack are for the normies

Ugh normies
what was funny is that my freind introduced me as "this guy used to be good" and i lost every game that night
i hate myself.
Was walking in the dark, I slammed my arm onto the door frame g fugging g

LMAO

"Yoo you're that kid on the VB team right?! "
Plays like shit after recovery
can imagine and cant wait
I can't imagine myself coaching others while being shit
(」゚ロ゚)」ᴺᴼᴼᴼᴼᴼ~
But I do wonder how I'm gonna perform after recovery though...
honestly if you didnt gain weight then its just gonna be a day or two
better than ever
DUDE IMAGINE I CAN'T REACH RIM OR PEAK MY HEAD OVER MEN NET ANYMORE I'M COOOOOKKED
then you back to like 80-90% at least in my experience
It's my vert for me
it will be VERY funny if your timing is all fcked up because of that
Fug skills I want my hops
once your arm heals the bones will be stronger, and it will be just a couple of days to warm up and get up to speed
Dude, back injury costed me a whole season of not being able to play, and AS I'm coming back into playing noticing I can hit again. But timing, HORRIBLE.
Fyi, this is the same day of when I broke my arm

I'm ultra cooked
I might as well start from square one
It's like reborning in that sense
that is pretty much how i felt on friday night, i wanna quit the game forever and never touch it again

smash was all fcked up
11 in a roll is all (not like miss but more like slicing the shot rather than actually hitting it properly, might as well miss honestly...)
that was my strength before i stopped, but now i am just playing defensive like a hoe
Yea you biatch

I'm gonna be roll shotting rather than actually swinging
watch me be a big bitch when hitting
See I would miss all of my overhead serves and would either slice the shit out of a smash or pussy out and play defense
please record and put it on youtube
Heh will do
Even for tennis
My ass can only serve at deep left corner with overhead
I'm the def of skill issue in tennis lol
Got a titanium racquet and everything and still play like shit
what does PET film do i hear ppl talking about it
@fluid ravine im cooked too
UR ice ultra recolor: Blue Ice, 2.69 RMB each
Bad decision w 80he imo
yes
bad decision for HE overall
So I can just trim it and just keep it right
I would just keep it there until you want to use your venom in a case that needs a daughterboard
Oh so the foam will have a cutout for it right?
personally never used it with foam, but I think it wont matter, the foam would just compress a bit in that spot
if u're not using any case foam,
i suggest to trim it..
foam is generally for fixing a hollow sounding case, so if you are fine with the sound without foam, no need to stuff it with it
imo ofc
mine was fine
but ofc removing it will not make it incompatible with og frog mini or other gh60 cases
I’m using holy 60 so
The case itself is already hollow
Ig I just shouldn’t be worried about it?
oh..
from what i watched eyejoker's and geon's build vid with holy 60, the db is touching the bottom case(sure) / there is no gap (not sure?)...
I have a bottom foam that comes with the case
I’m just not sure if I should get the foam between plate and pcb
If I’m using holy 60
never tried and never will 🙂
I can't give opinion on that
i hate the idea about buying a less material case with higher price

Yea I am just not sure how much difference would the foam in between made
I mean I like the design since the metal ver is cnced iirc
spend your time to get the sound profile u like
Fair enough
But if anyone else tried holy 60 w/o foam and think it’s alright please let me know lol
I don't think case foam will help holy60 lol
Yea that’s what I’m thinking
plate foam might change the sound somehow, but the case I feel like wouldn do much
the plate foam def changes how switch bottom out reacts
I always used plate foam until I tried not using it and liked it more ever
ever since*
So u got rid of plate foam now?
yes, I think switches sound more lively this way, but also not sure how this would work in holy60
my advice just take one configuration and do the same recording on it on the same keys, w/ and w/o foam
and then compare the sound
Yea make sense
Thanks for the advice
Don’t really care sounding that much so ig i shouldn’t be worried too much

judging by the comments it seems this is no foam and alu plate
so as long as you have a good clean sounding switch you should be fine
Yea I was searching a bit and this does not even show up lol
What keycaps do u recommend that won’t make me go broke?
might want to give a budget and design you're after because price ranges of what people consider budget can be very different depending on who you ask
the guy didnt want to read that essay☠️
Ok sure. So I would like some purple with either black or white. I want to spend less than 80 with good quality if possible .
Holy80
im good
pbtfans in that price range should be good, but the designs with purple seem to be not on sale anymore (purpurite, atomic purple), but you could check out what is in stock, the are around that price mark and decent quality double shot
Ok thx
pbtfans vior is kinda cool too, but the legends are a bit more beige than white
Color variations, of course…
wuque studio, keykobo also other decent options. Keykobo pricing is all over the place though with some sets for sale on ali for $50-70 and some sets for $150
osume is nice too if you like the pastel, comfy vibes type color scheme as all their sets are that style
can vouch for keykobo double shot abs caps, they are pretty much gmk for sound and feel, but the cost is almost like gmk too
keykobo i think the key if you want cheap is find the sets on sale on ali stores. A lot of their semi translucent series is often on sale from what i've seen
wuque has the lavender dream or whatever set which would be exactly what you want I guess
https://shop.wuquestudio.com/products/ws-pbt-keycaps-lavender-bliss almost got them myself
Introducing WS Doubleshot PBT Wuque Studio has been committed to designing and producing custom mechanical keyboards that are well-made, unique, and affordable. I agree they look amazing. Found them and im either going to get those or try to find a different colour scheme with orange/yellow and grey
The white + gold and purple + green colorways got me fucked up
Wish it had sharp edges and not rounded ones
Nothing special tbh
Ngl, they should name it awfully unholy
-rep,
No catch ball system
No to much holes
No greater color variation
That’s why I’m still thinking about which case to get.
I’m mostly concerned with how it’s gonna sound after the holy 60 vids I’ve seen
bad
Right
Like why
If it costs more than 130 dollars (and it will), then it’s a failure.
rip my neck but sacrifices have to be made for desk space
안녕! It's Mikey here! I heard the comments and have now tried out the Duhuk Lumia Magnetic Switch! Not really what I was thinking. I even heard your comments and hopefully now these sound tests will be more helpful!
Duhuk Lumia Magnetic: https://shorturl.at/NamVb
Owlab Ti Switch: https://shorturl.at/EDqDZ
Wooting x TTC KOM POM: https://shor...
how are ti’s compated to raw’s
i’ve heard sound test and ti’s sound slightly poppier
people call them the v2 raws basically
like a tighter raw with closed bottom sound
looks like sand
perfect for a coffee theme build

toronto raptors ahh switches 🥀🥀
Whoops that was not meant for here
should I change wooting pbt keycaps for my uk layout
is there a better keycaps for typing for my 80 he zincoy
That is mainly preference
If you want to spend some money and get different colors etc there are a lot of options for keycaps out there
fk thats good colours
if that bone one looks good irl , i might have to get 1
im def just getting baited by renders tho, its prob gunna look ass
ye
it also doesnt show the base plates holy60 had
and it looks to be tray mounted unless im going crazy
Tray mount for 80he is wild
If they did that
Idk if u can even do tray mount 80he
i sincerely hope its gasket or something other than tray
Well you can do alot with custom plate
Oh yeah
the TX AP stabs I was looking at for a while doubled in price
it was at like 25 dollars and now its 41 dollars
us?
yeah
I’ve switched away from the TX ones and went with Swagkeys and TypePlus ones. They are a heck of a lot easier to tune.
pretty sure it's confirmed to be gasket
are you excited for neck pain by 30
what does PET film do ive heard people put it in their 60HEs but idk what it does to the sound
yoo guys, is there any solution to use standoff silicone cover for the leggera (T)?
What’s the best way to open a plastic case keyboard that doesn’t have screws
like how optimum case has and kbdfans selling it
Just changes the sound
I think it makes it more “poppy”
so like a tape mod?
Basically I’m pretty sure
carefully
you just jam something in the seam and try not to mangle it all that much
(impossible)
guitar picks usually work pretty well for me in a pinch
I don’t have one lol
Deepens the sound profile, but it's not a recommended mod with HE keyboards messes with the sensor and causes accidental inputs
is it most commonly placed between the plate and pcb? or can it be placed elsewhere or will it not have the same effect
It's placed between the switches and the PCB
Nah bro gateron is smoking the good stuff
interesting
They rlly releasing a jade pro recolor alongside their pom switch, cant make this shit up 💀
True gateron technique
Do HE switches ‘benefit’ from breaking-in sound wise the same way some mech switches do?
Wobbling lvl 99 final boss
Whats the power connector from the usb hub for the 80hE called its 5 pin but dont know the model is it a molex ? https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/5-Pin-Connector-USB-DC-Electronic_1601389244759.html?spm=a2700.galleryofferlist.normal_offer.d_image.447813a0CPamSd
no boxstem(octagonal stem) = skip
please dont use third party jst cable. if its damaged, ask wooting for replacement
pretty sure jst cable is the same shit as long as the sequence is correct
Does anyone know if owlab ti he switch work with ajazz ak680 max
Hows the wobble on jade pro compared to ttc pom?
Creamy magnetic switch recommendations?
they dont exist
Yes they do
bad
creamy = overlubed
there isnt creamy HE its just overlubed HE
#🔧│keyboard_modding message
Q=Jade Pro, W=Geon RAW, E=TTC KoM POM
Pls don’t overlube switches just for a “creamy” sound
Sure ig
its temporary
U do u brethren
and if you go too far its a terrible feeling
Just don’t come here for help if ur switches feel like shit
Damn, the difference is much bigger than i expected
Also, what kind of sorcery did they use in the production of raws, they look really good too here
its alot of work just to have to redo it every 3-5 days when it breaks in
Fellas I just watched a migss review
And it’s time to stop buying wootings and instead buy the iquinox whatever it’s called he
nah, gt60 pro
nah venom
@thorn zealot since your sister has an aula https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/1k8aed7/psa_aula_68_he_has_malware_from_factory/
Is this only if u have the software or no
I don’t feel like getting my sis another kb
Doesn't last long + won't feel good
quick question i just want to make sure i watched a vid where they showcased the Geon Raw HE are those the switched u can add to the wooting build?
Yeah, PET film deepens the bass frequencies and tightens the resonance.
On my mechanical keyboards, I usually place PET film between the case and the case foam, and sometimes between the PCB and switch pads or plate foam if I’m stacking layers to fine-tune a specific thock profile.
What I’ve found with HE switches, though, is that the clack tends to be more forward, and it’s harder to fully dampen or mute it into that pure thump-style thock.
Yes
You can use geon raws on wooting
Would recommend owlab ti hes over them
lemmo look
basically they are improved geon raws with less stem wobble, cleaner sound and fully closed bottom
What are the quietest switches I can buy for the wooting 60HE?
i see
thanks for the recommendation
you can get them on unikeys
mathew silent he switch or Raeds
Okay is one better than the other??
Divine key or where else?
how is the rgb lighting with these?
not as good as raws, but still decent
is the difference noticable between owllab and the Geon
the rgb on owlabs will be plenty good enough
ahh ok
There will be noticeable difference in stem wobble and sound
owlab switches sound cleaner than raws
Jesus there’s a huge price jump from Mathew’s to Raeds haha
ill prob get the 40G switches i want a lighter feeling
40g might be too light, be careful
never had the chance to test the difference
😂
then get 50, its safer option
not too heavy, not too light
honestly to me 50 is too light
u mean compare the owlabs to mx switches?
Yeaah
I wondered if i can compare it to my current keyboard
And maybe get my answer there
it wont be much diff
Then ill try and test it thanks
Gently silent no good??
they not even silent
pretty much
Sharing My Wooting 60HE+ Build – Resulting in a Muted Clack / Semi-Thock Sound Profile
Hey everyone! I’ve been experimenting with my Wooting 60HE+ and wanted to share my current configuration and the resulting sound profile:
• Case: Wooting x Optimum Case with friction-fit mount
• Switches: Hand-lubed Gateron Magnetic Jade Pros
• Keycaps: Ranked POM Jelly keycaps
• Mods:
• Poron LE20 case foam
• Tempest tape mod (2 layers)
• CustomKBD POM plate
With this setup, the keyboard produces a muted clack with a semi-thock sound profile. The POM materials contribute to a deeper tone, while the Poron foam and Tempest tape mod help dampen unwanted vibrations and tighten the resonance.
I’ve found that the Optimum case isn’t ideal for stacking multiple layers of foam or film due to its tight internal tolerances, especially when using the friction-fit mount. Overstuffing can lead to alignment issues or compromise the friction-fit system.
I’ve also experimented with inserting an O-ring into the bottom housing of the Magnetic Jade Pros to dampen the clack. While it effectively reduced the clack, it’s a tight fit and not recommended for long-term use due to potential interference with switch mechanics.
For those seeking switches with built-in dampening, the WS Flux HE switches incorporate internal silicone pads in the bottom housing, which help in reducing bottom-out noise.
If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to share!
i mean that build works for that sound prof
but arent fluxes stupid loud
Fluxes have silicone pads in the bottom housing?
(wasn't meant to be a reply)
I suspect AI :sniff:
Yup just want to be concise with information I am giving 🙂
This is what the keyboard sounds like
but these are with jade pros
Yeah 👍
pretty sure fluxes will make that louder
Never tried the fluxes I just read about them
fluxes are loud but very clean sounding
When AI confuses fluxes for duhuk
Just write your own thoughts, don't let a bot fuck it up for you.
Teehees should be arriving Wednesday or so. Looking forward to trying them out.
For sure just being lazy 😐
@glacial wind looks like I'm good
Also the WS Flux have some QC issues
Pretty wild seeing price increases and world is only midway between box 1 & 2
its likely in anticipation for the tariffs
because when those container ships arrive, they are seized by customs and the people that are receiving the products inside it get sent a bill to pay the tariff by homeland security and then once the tariff is paid the stuff inside it is released by customs and then it continues on its way.
Im reading that some of these factories havent just slowed… they stopped so I dont know if the rest of us will escape higher prices too even without tariffs themselves
Im not in the us and im bracing
At least Summer recession means I can focus on spending less and enjoying more time outside.
Guys I have question. Will I lost my warranty by open the wooting a fix the stabilizer ? The stock sounds unbelievable 🥲
No. Unless you break pcb you are fine
You saved my ears , Thank you 🙏
Just do not stab pcb with screwdriver
Should I lube and film my OWLAB Ti HE?
No need to film
Just lube them if you want
Okay, I know that they're pre-lubed but didn't know if I should hand lube them myself.
factory lube is very good tho
Alright, I may just try them how they are.
I have the entire build now just need to pick stabs.
"Best switches out to ever exist in the universe, no debate."

anyone remember whens alexotos stream for thockfather boards?
hopefully i dont miss it
Damn I was at a 7 and now I am pushing 8.5
I think it’s like this wed and fri
cool, i think i remember 29 as well
wait
29 is tue, idk maybe check later from dc history
He said apr 30 and may 2
did you try frog mini + alu + rawhuk with no foam?
Good review of the flux.
He liked the feel and sound (so do I) but the wobble wasn't stellar. I still maintain the TI's are the best budget value switch.
flux has absolutely nothing to do with budget
Agree
story behind the switch stuff
Ah I see
But if indeed it's a new manu and new molds, there is a cost associated with that. They can only improve from here and I'm betting we see a better plastic mix from them in the future and some wobble reduction. I think D even said this is just the beginning of what they are planning.
So why is flux a 6/20
Did you read the review?
i am excited for that last part then i remember trump forced me to quit keyboard modding
No I’m in bed and should be sleeping
Does he know about the alleged QC issues?
Doesnt look like he is measuring switch performance as he likely doesn't have a great way to determine that. Did D say which boards had an issue? Not all sensors are created equal and some handle stronger magnets better
That was @sacred elm correspondence with him
From what I gather, its possible the springs have issues and the magnet tolerances are all out so instead of +-50
it could be like +-100
if im understanding that right
So some or all of the springs are somehow magnetized which could effect performance
and it can be hit or miss as its apparently random
And then with flux, I agree its good to have 'strong' magnets I guess but not if their variance is all f**ked
For instance, I got the sneks even though its placebo as I have og magnetos, their flux variance is very low with strong magents
ttc pom sneks
While Wuques design is superior their QC control completely f***ekd them IMO
If the variances are within spec and don't overload the sensor, it doesn't really matter if each switch is different, even +/- 100 as the board continuously calibrates each switch individually. It's not ideal but it's not a deal breaker
But how would you know
I just pulled those numbers out of the air
for 20$ per 10 that is 100% deal breaker IMO
If these were cheapo switches, id agree. but these are supposed to be the greatest lol
