I recently ordered some Owlab switches from Keybay, and they arrived in a ziplock bag inside a thin bubble wrap envelope (image attached). I checked each switch, and the pins look fine, and they press down normally, but I wanted to make sure there’s nothing else I should check for potential damage. Any recommendations on what to look out for? Thanks!

Pretty normal packaging for switches, just make sure none are smashed, if they have broken pins its fine, they still work and still fit into the plate/pcb

There’s other compatible switches than just the one on the website, but you have to look specifically for Hall Effect switches.

In the case of the switch you sent, it doesn’t specify Hall Effect/HE and has a mention of pins. As soon as a switch has pins it isn’t Hall Effect.

I've just ordered a Wooting Two and I want to have a clicky number pad. Are there clicky magnetic switches I could buy?

it might be possible to modify certain magnetic switches with a click leaf but it wont be that good and i dont think non magnetic click leaves are available atm

IMO the best way to get that would be to order a 80he or 60he and get a separate numpad somewhere else

1. from a muscle memory perspective I really want it all the one board. I've used a G15 for the last 17 years and I value not having to look down.
2. Dedicated numpad boards with mechanical switches seem to be hugely expensive more than most of the keyboards

Unfortunately, your alternatives involve taking apart the keyboard most likely to tune the stabilizer, and lube can shift around during shipping and may be part of the cause for the ticking, you may need to also balance the wire and maybe check if everything is installed properly

You can get dielectric grease syringes too, I have syringes for both, Krytox is thinner and can be fine sometimes for stabilizers, dielectric is thicker and can hold better than Krytox usually

Ideally you use Krytox on the plastic stem/ housing and grease for the wire

on my custom yes but they werent good I found out after i bought them but either way with enough time anyt stab is ok
