You def shouldnt get disconnect issues. Either something is grounding out somewhere, bad cable or bad port (maybe check the solder points). You can also put a small piece of electric tape under the USB port just in case it is shorting out on something

I mean if you test the board as it outside of the case and no issues, you'll know for sure if its something shorting out

Mech elitists will notice the difference from a mile away I’m guessing. Only the very inexperienced wouldn’t be able to tell switches apart based on their wobble (assuming that’s what you meant by flux variance).

In normal use, I don’t think it’s possible to move your finger up/down by increments less than 0.2mm or so.

get tx puller so you dont break your switch. and tilt the switch from the side with no defuser when you pull, separating the plate from the pcb and support from the bottom also makes things easier.

I’m not sure how accurate that is though as it’d only happen if they had a horizontal magnet orientation which other switches by the same manufacturer didn’t have. When did you apply the holee mod?

because i think im fairly good at modding stabs but there always seems to be a minimal ticking after extended periods of use

did you have the balance side facing down?

removed burr from the end of the wire, balanced, lubed the housing and stem

like i balanced one way and i flipped it to make sure its consistent in the other way as well

idk if its the right way to do it but it made the most sense to me

well actually when you wire balance a wire, you want to balance it as much as possible on side of the whole bar, once you do, you keep that side facing down and install the wire from there

Wire balancing on both sides will be pretty difficult but if you have one side balance and the other side not then it's fine.
