well silver seems to have the cutouts from 60he module era, which were made to work with both plate mount and pcb mount, resulting in tigher tolerances and not all stabs working with it

I think this is related to the plate being tight, and thus putting the stabs slightly at an angle, which may interfere with their movement up and down
