I would just build everything g first and see what you like from the mix of configurations you can do. If there's something that you like but find a slight problem that seems to be out of your preference or something that seems to be need of a fix, that's when I would say modding with like tape mod and what not would be necessary.

The circumfrence of the friction pad is made for the optimum case diamater which is typically bigger than your avg gh60 case. And the fact that it fits pretty snug is a high chance of it not fitting into cases like tofu redux (it does fit redux but its super tight)

For example, I've seen a lot of hype around the Venom boards lately (and I own a few and think Geon is an awesome vendor) BUT things that arent mentioned (and should be):
There is no published warranty and returns are limited to 14 days and only if in original condition. The minute you break that DB or USB port off, you're done.
Customers will be required to break out the PCB daughterboard component even if not being used to avoid case interference (not hard, but will be scary for typical user).
Keyboard configs/profiles can't be saved or imported/exported between different boards.
No RGB other than caps-lock indicator (could be a positive for some).
Also, on a semi-related note, there have been some rumors that one of the popular Chinese HE software manufacturers that you find on a lot of the budget HE boards (Geon is not in this group), ALLEGEDLY may have keyloggers/spyware embedded in the controller or web software. This hasn't been confirmed, and may be completely false, but knowing that Wooting's software is developed in a country with the toughest privacy laws in the world, is something that should be considered.

There are pros and cons to each and you have to determine what's important to you. I personally prefer full travel switches but someone else may prefer reduced travel

You can take a look at the TTC POM or RGB versions, Gateron Jade Pros, Owlabs TI HE , these all have closed bottoms and around 3.4mm travel give or take
Wooting also sells their own version of TTC on their site , in collaboration with TTC

I should also mention, the TTC switches have lube but it’s very minimal and you will need to lube them yourself if you don’t like the stock sound

I'm a ADOFAI player, and with all the switches I tried so far (lekker 60, OG jades, jades max and TTC POM), I recommend you to buy the lightest switch for OSU, since an heavier switch will prob decrease your stamina during long games

Oh I just prefer how the bumpons I have sound on the leggera when I don't use a keebmat. With the stock feet on my glass desk, it provides that "bassyness" on the bottom out but the reverb is too much for me. But with my adhesive bumpons, I still get that bass but a lot less reverb.

They seem fine to me, the clips seem the exact same as the others tho tbh, they don't seem any different like Aligner and Tuan pointed out, think that was just the photos making them look like that but they seem the exact same in person
I install my switches south facing so I pull from the back of the housing rather than the diffuser side and that makes it way easier imo
