is there a specific bammerworks one
Crp wob
are ducky keycaps good im just getting a scope of all the options u feel me
na
I changed my light bulbs from yellow to white now I can see how bad it is
Gotta clean it đ
If youâre using non-OLED you can use cleaner if you want, but the easy rec is still Distilled water
Nah i got ips
Just water and a cloth is fine?
distilled water specifically, yeah
just grab a microfiber and wet it a bit
Using tap water on my oled, works okay with a bit more effort to avoid stains
Should probably get some distilled water some day
Though I guess it depends on the country
And even in specific areas
Don't use tap water it it's any colour
Guys, is it possible to make the ttc wooting poms sound like (unused) lekker v2 switches? Feeling wise, the ttc and raw feel almost identical to me (no idea how theyre almost able to match the stability from the ttcs, really surprised me), but for sound, its clearly lekker v2>>>>raw>>ttc for me
(in 80he zinc case)
Smash the bottom out?
Lekkers are open bottom so theyâre fairly different and not much to
Do
About it
Which are the open bottom switch with the less wobble ?
is it a worth while mod to get the pc plate?
as in is it a massive difference from the stock plate when in a tofu redux with gateron jades
IMO yes
Frankenswitch
what is it thats different tho?
Everything from Lekkers v2 except stem, and gateron gade stem
This is the most popular combination.
Thanks, I might look into it, I wonder is the 'rattly' sound comes from the wobble, that said I don't hear it through my headphones
Does it matter that much if it's distilled
hey so I have the stock switches on my 60he anyone can recommend any better switches possibly?
I do not care enough to go out and get distilled water for it
geon raw he, jade pro, duhuk core he, ttc kom pom
ttc need manual lube and duhuk may need a spring swap if you want a heavier weight
Djuhuk Bieber is ready for this
are they lighter than these ones too? looking for something creamy and thocky
No and yes, you take less risks with distilled water, and I can testify that I've been cleaning my oled with tap water for over a year just fine
Distilled water and microfiber cloth usually is all you need
duhuk is rlly light
as for creamy and thocky
those are words that mean nothing but you wont get a thocky HE switch
Yeah i just don't care enough to go get distilled water
arent the lekkers swtiches they sell lighter tho or no lol?
Its also ips not oled so it's probably fine?
but I was thinking Jade pros
i have made some sound tests for raw and duhuk but please keep in mind that those are only to be compared to each other because they are on a heavily modded board
non distilled water likely wont ruin the display or anything but it might leave streaks which is the opposite of what you want when cleaning
Which one has lighter spring ?
l45 or đ§
https://discord.com/channels/167181566978555904/1342211699234832485 check this thread for the most recent sound tests and here #đ§âkeyboard_modding message for older raw he sound tests that are on a less modded board
I would get another dry microfiber to soak up the water left on the screen before it dries and leaves residue
I can testify streaks can be a pain to remove
wooting sells a l45 switch which is lighter than the stock l60 but i would say get duhuks, those are advertised as 35g and felt quite light before i spring swapped them
jade pro also good probably
but yeah listen to the sound tests and see which one you like more
yours sounds amazing
where you get poly foam from
any hobby store
its just like pillow or stuffed animal filling material
polyester based
@marsh saffron might require some extra work but Iâd follow Mr. Mouigiâs advice
you also gotta be quick
Does paper towels work
I do have the microfibers i could use too
I would use microfibers
Aight
Now youâre pushing your luck đ¤Ł
@kind helm Iâm getting reddit ads for asssassins creed shadows âeverything you need to knowâ this shit is so cooked
You have tape mod on this donât you?
yes
as mentioned in the thread and in the name of the audio file
I donât read
why read when you can hear every single applied mod in the sound test
Nah tbh I read the audio file but it was cut off for me and just said â3â
I assume 3 layer tape mod
I definitely didnât read the thread though
So congratulations or sorry that happened to you
Exactly
You definitely raed
whats the default weight? 40g?
35
shiii thats light
I see what you did there
Ima try get one of the 1/100 acrylic cases for the leggera
gonna wait a bit so they give me number 69
That's actually the one I'm getting so

There's still the number 64
how heavy is that one
i remember its like super light
plus btw i dont remember 100% but i think acrylic case would be less hollow sounding right? because softer material more sound leak out or something
Ty sir

Iâll be back to tell yâall I messed it up
would be fun to make a acrylic leggera + raed possibly
Thock is such a marketing term
Seems to be the same price at least on the website rn
will wusque studio bow double shot pbt keycaps shine fast
thonck
Bro this guy is so hard to follow
He just says
Live here
Lube
And doesnât even show where
What
I mean any spot where the parts interact you should lube
2:50 mark
He explains it
And shows it
The wife
Wire
He says not to use the lube
And to use sum else
That I donât have
Do I lube it with what I have
Or no
(see you in court)
I remember someone almost bought 65% gmk keycap set because of me
which doesnt have all caps needed on 60he
Wire go in stabilizer. Wire metal. Stabilizer plastic. Lubricate where metal touches plastic.
And where plastic touches plastic.
Usually you use grease for where metal touches plastic. And lube for plastic on plastic.
But if all you have is lube just use a decent bit and donât add too much and youâll probably be fine.
Lubrication is to decrease friction.
So apparently i am not having luck with the way the Lekker V2's feel in the original 60HE. Getting this nasty feeling flex/creak on bottom out. Doesn't happen with V1's. Any ideas? I'm thinking it's the steel plate that might be ruining the V2's for me.
is there a place i can get the black keycaps of same style as the white ones but only the ones for the edges of keyboard
Why
so i donât have to buy a whole black set aswell just for the outside keys if i donât need to
depends on the keycap set, but i know some sell accent or alphabet keys separately, unsure if that'd meet your goals though.
guess iâm buying 2 sets
some pbtfans have black/white accents
same with some gmk sets
but they will not be outside vs inside completely
PP plate?
Pom
ah
wdym i mean i just want the normal accents not all the way around
https://kbdfans.com/products/pbtfans-doubleshot-bow so something like this?
Specs Simple Base = Alpha + Icon ModifiersBase = Alpha + Text Modifiers Material: PBT material Profile: Cherry profile Production Method: Doubleshot Manufacturer: PBTfans Packaging: ABS keycaps tray with designed tray cover Reminder: Only keycaps included, no keyboard Compatibility: Cherry MX switches and MX-style clon
I have PP coming soon for venom 7u frog mini
yea but like yk with the ones that look like a smiley face kinda
but without eyes
like jus going up the sides of all on the top
what
Cam are you proud of me
Why
@little glen lowk might just by 2 sets or get ceramic keycaps for the other keys
if you dont want shine on your keycaps
Ceramics mixed with non ceramics would stick out like a sore thumb
Bathroom floor keyboard

Switches next
I gotta wait 6 months at least to have confidence for that
tbf some of the new cerakeys look great
but like
those are the ones that shine the most
by design
Og ones look kinda bleh to me
Like the regular ones
idk i just donât want mismatching fonts
if itâs a little different it might as well be completely different
if you buy caps from one manu they will most likely have matching fonts
Yeah but the ceramics would look like shit paired with regular plastic caps
They would stick out so much
Also this^
the sun emoji on kbd fans pmo i donât wanna buy more from them
Switches are easy to lube just time consuming
I've gotten it down to about 2 hours for a 90x set
is it easy to mess up
I mean only way you mess up is overlubing
then you have to clean them and re lube
Less is more
almost always
why not use water
no as lube
cam did you get the gt80 yet
???
i might try a soundtest without tapemod tomorrow as well but not sure if its redundant if ur already doing that haha
what are u saying
did you get yours too now
Nah
ive had them for a day but i try not to formulate opinions until a week
but fuck
dufuck its so good
đ
shiii
Tom hooked me up
i do think the spring weight i got was a lil high but should be fine
;0
Hypekeyboards
I got PP and Red Aluminum for Venom7u Frog Mini
So pains
G'day, got my first Wooting 2HE with UK ISO(extra key near left shift), just putting together now. got 3 switches(light green installed, Jade mechanical and 12 l45 yellow) and wondering if I should put the l45 lekker where the wasd is and throw some mechanical on the tenkeypad?
Hype(keyboards)
can u make a sound tests for them
and compare to raws
It'll actually be my first time trying PP

I'll make Hopper proud
btw Hopper is a nice name for someone who owns a frogđ¸
I've tried pretty much every plate material besides PP and UHPMWE or whatever
No way
You will love it cam
best plastic plate
No contest
So I've heard
Uve tried nylon? And abs?
Nah not Nylon either tbh
0w0
I think Bigsly was gonna try nylon at one point but idk if he did or not
nah bro just collects stuff
đ
i thought he has it but only for woot
yeah might be
Its time to duhuk
Yeah o have nylon for woot/frog
Too much work
Compare it with pp

@stone flax
venom aligns with gummy oring spots in the LX60 btw
now whatâs left is to solve daughterboard compatibility
Rip out the daughterboard
Replace it
Happy
well they have a stupid ass db that goes with the case, but it connects via ribbon cable, not the connector used on venom db
Ya
and if I try to install venom db, the port is elevated and doesnt fit the hole in the case
Replace it with jst udb
whats udb? im a noob
ah unified db
well venom db already is the same as unified, but it doesnt fit the hole
but I will try this thingie, if it fits in the case I will be able to connect
hi, i'm new to the world of mechanical keyboards, I recently bought a wooting 80he, and wanted a case that is kind of this color: #1ecfdf do you have any suggestion?
you want a light blue case
hmmmmmm ;3
just say that next time pls
#1ecdf
Fire color bro
Can i also get the hex code
that's the hex code
and its more work for the person trying to help you
anyway, the only after market cases currently available for the 80he are gt-80 and bone80
both of which do not seem to have a color like the one you want
so final options available for you would be to get one custom painted/cerakoted
Teal 80HE case would be kinda cool
at which point you can decide if you want to get one of those 2 painted or a wooting 80he raw case
oh actually those do look kinda close
thanks
yes
Do you know where can I find custom backlit keycaps?
Hey folks, Toronto KeyboardMan here!
We just got our hands on the Bone80 Aluminum Case by GameZone, a premium aftermarket case designed specifically for the Wooting 80. If you're looking to take your Hall Effect keyboard to the next level, this might just be the upgrade you need!
https://torontokeyboardman.ca/
#wooting #gamingkeyboard #halleff...
there is also gt80 by kbdfans if you havent seen
I was gonna say if they didnt include a sound test I was gonna dislike the video
look when he puts the keycaps, why is it so flexy? lol
I was wondering the same
even with pc its not this flexy for me
lil bizarre but i'll chalk it up to L foam
maybe they are using poron plate insert instead of silicon one
for better thonkcs
yeah they are
ah yeah, but would it cause extra flex?
horrible
yeah since silicon is way denser, so the plate doesnt flex as much with it
80he knowledge without owning it
hate knowledge is a helluva drug
lmaoo hate knowledge
xD
true
Tomorrow going to be my salvation, white zinc gets to retire and I get pristine case
ahhh

Being a chad.
they cannot be reasoned with

they already have venom so they have the 80HE at home anyway
lol actually
oh I sold my 60he module today btw lol
I still have stock og 60he
if they ever announce new 60% booting, im going to sell the og one as well probably
Right
is that a beon wooting collab lmao
Iâll probably sell module but then maybe rebuy next Wooting 60
wtf is booting lmao
baldnwooting duh
that shit cursed ong
just put B in there like benom xd
Then Iâll just be edged by GMK Selene
Iâm gonna go full lightsaber led bar
Waiting wooting to booting the next wooting until looting loot wooting for their next looting
What the sigma
them bars are hard
yeah but remember, endgame build is a myth
Bag lubed my grin springs, removing lube off the bottom housing, reapplying lube on stem and too housing
Having one hell of a time rn
you gotta open a keyboard repair shop
or do commission builds

Yeah Iâd pay to have my shit built and lubed at this point lol fk
Would a wooden spacebar sound better than a pbt one?
Ngl I do want to!
I'm always here
Why would it
No
doubt it would have good tolerances and quality in general, even if wooden keycaps sounded good
what is that supposed to achieve?
Dw abt it
We'll see
making duhuks good
jk jk
Thinking about just replacing the ESC and Enter key with wooden caps, just to make the kb stand out a bit
Oh itll stand out for sure
gateron's pcb also web tool to change settings
but the switches supported are all gateron stuff
it lets you set per key switch profile so thats kinda interesting?
Oh nice, thatâs what Simon wanted to do with the per key stuff
would anyone care to explain what makes the ttc pom the best on the market atm ?
there's no real 'best' - it's just one of the good options if your goal is max stability
it comes down to preference and what you want from the switch
yeah in terms of stability they're pretty much the best switch out there
I mightâve underestimated Gatekeeperon, it doesnât look bad, not bad at all. I see that Kanye East guy a lot on bilibili lol
kanye east is a wild influencer naming choice
in the comment he did mention there are still many bugs in the software so still have to see if they fix things
As expected, but will be interesting to see how they handle it.
Bro I got a white keyboard case but my desk is white and my mousepad is black same as my mic and mouse so I feel like it would look weird yall know what would make it like match
Iâm thinkin abt getting like a white mousepad to even out
that's called lubing
lol
i just finished
time to break it in
ngl i expected the acrylic leggera to be cheaper by $10 from the alu

how much is it
you got a setup pic? i curious
same price as alu $69
ic, well maybe it's due to limited nature it's a bit more expensive
could be yeah
'
i wished
let me know how it goes
i want to say i am not expecting anything different but thats discouraging
I think breaking in is real
usually switches get better over time if they are tight initially
after breaking in they just become smoother without becoming worse
no breaking in is real but his different lubing is what i was talkin bout :3
WE TRUST BOIS
he said he lubed the top and the stem cleaned the bottom, but i feel like as you press down the key the lube would be brough down and eventually even out
i might do some frakenswitching who knows
follow thock lady's path
you gotta break em in so hard to the point that dampening thingie melts into the stem and the top out becomes good
jk that's just my opinion
i was wondering though if lubing the leg would help
so the contact between the leg and the top housing would be a bit less scratchy (hopefully)
ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
i lubed the leg
i still get a lil bit scratch
i can't feel it
but i can slightly hear it
finally a switch with the noble MX scratch
lol
so whats the new strat
for..
damn im not sure to be honest
honestly i was aiming for that smoother feel which worked
but also wanting that stock sharpness volume on the bottom out
but didnt work LOL
geon pingless springs doing good so far
i think the sharp bottom out would come back as you break in
but the top scratch idk, best i can think of is lubing the leg
which thankfully helps :3
according to you
terms of feel?
ye
oh damn maybe
i think you maybe can look at how people lube haimu heartbeat
mines dont feel scratchy
which has a leg at the bottom
its like the same idea from what i understand but intended to mute the bottom out
so it sounds scratchy and you dont liike that? đ
no i dont mind it sounding scratchy
what is bro trying to solve then
TRYING TO GET THE DAMN SHARP BOTTOM OUT BACK
and that funky ass top out that it makes that pochizo pointed out
start playing monkeytype whole night
ever since she pointed it out im noticing it much more
lol
will do
oh so someone else thought the top out is weird
to me the top out sounded like a HE switch with bad tolerances
even though its not what duhuks are
ALL HER FAULT
hehe
good to know you can make it better with some lube there though, maybe i do that at some point later on
@fluid ravine do you think this happens sometimes?
the top is normal situation, the bottom one is what i fear can happen
assuming the line is the leg.
are the poms even worth buying or i should just wait for some really really good switches
no, just wait even more for really really really (3x) good switches
Middle top is what happens when the leg bottoms out. Not sure what you mean by the bottom one? The leg no-clipping through the stem?!
like slide to the side
sometimes i feel some weird bump when releasing a key
u right, i just donât wanna spend that money on poms bc theyâre expensive and then a better switch comes out
he switches seem to have the stability down at least, now jsut sound
Oh, perhaps, if thereâs enough room for that to happen, probably could happen.
One of my legs (that I noticed) wasnât perfectly straight from factory
a bit like that.
I lubed my legs
interesting, i wasnt paying attention to the leg at all when i did mine
I think for the sake of stability you could just get TTC RGBs, since they have the same molds as POMs, but different materials
not sure how exactly they compare in sound but they are way cheaper
I had a feeling they might even sound more to my liking (brighter) and ordered them on aliexpress, but the vendor cancelled it due to no stock, so I never bothered to order again
they should have a more plasticky sound to it
thats why i never heard about it from you
ah
LOL
cause i remember you placed a order a while back already at this point
yeah with PC bottom for sure, it would be like maxes maybe, but there are some frankenswitching opportunities, which I dont really care about at this point
yeah they took like a week to tell me its out of stock
and it's funny cause they cancelled it on wooting ttc switches release day
maybe secretly its the cheaper but equivalent in terms of stability
pretty sure it is, it's just everyone is hyped about pom on pom action
well maybe pom on pom gives it more smoothness ultimately and it is justified, but still ttc rgb I think is a nice option if you really need the extra giga stability of the box stem
I finally found cheaper 80he alu plates
instead of TorontoMans $50 plates
Patience is king
I wonder why they are still making the plates for plate mounts
no idea
80he comes with pcb mounts from the start
stoobid
typeplus nice
Staebies and others can F off
let wooting user cope
:(
@tropic urchin
He already spent $50 on Toronot
LMAO
i thought he was still waiting for them to restock

wow this is so dumb
plate mount supremacy bro
Lol yeah like I said , don't bother me cause I don't use thick boi stabs
but I would prefer non plate mount cuts
I honestly donât know why thick stabs exist
if I had the option
there is no reason
is it fcked for me to say i somewhat prefer plate mount? easier to fix when there is a problem and can be tuned just like pcb mount
Facts tho
Yeah I actually don't mind them
can be nice, can be annoying
I have some that I don't touch cause they're nicely tuned
well I meant dumb from the standpoint of the manufacturer, cause it's not like files from wooting aren't available
they could just use wooting dimensions for the holes lol
i heard supposedly the bigger space lets your stem make less contact with the housing so less likely to be scratchy in some ways
Oh word, yeah thats true
but realistically why not just let lube take care of that
just shrink the stem, like SW does đ¤ˇââď¸
itâs 0.15mm man
like you couldnât shave off 0.15mm?
really?!
I want to try out the staebies hehe
best of luck
hey man i dont design the shit
are they considered thick? I believe they were the same as stock stabs on woot
if you did, we wouldnât have issues like this
theyâre thick yeah. 6.8, same as TX, Durocks and Typeplus
Woot stock is <6.65
ah ig I keep my knights lol
same plates, toronto man upcharges
they cost around $11, so you're close
I got black and red
oh you gotta build with evil dolch
Ali says that with everything I think đ¤Ł
Good marketing
the red alu with evil dolch will probably look insane

FOMO buyers
Right lol
Yeah I think theyâll look good in the silver case
Now I finally have red alu plate for my 80He and my venom
Now just pray they donât arrive bent

yeah better not be none of that alice keyboard type shi
Tbh all my plates have arrived fine, never got a bent one yet
yeah I remember ordering plates from AE, they were packed like keyboards lol
As far as metal plates go, plastic donât matter lol
Yeah my last one I got had like 6â inches of bubble wrap around it lol
Didnât know what it was at first
What would you recommend as the 'best' aftermarket stabs for the 80he?
what is the best number
what is the creamiest number
I'd basically follow Alexotos top stabs list, he has most of the ones I own on there
Stabilizers can arguably make or break a keyboard and you want to know what the best ones are. I mean, who wouldnât want the best for their keyboard, right? The problem is that there are so many different stabilizers to choose from. How do you choose the best ones? Well, let me give you my personal tier list of what I think the best stabilizers ...
I basically recommend these but the other options he has listed are viable too
i highly recommend typeplus
Why F TP haha
I'm just joking, but if being serious, it's just cause they use a thicker housing than standard and can cause fitment issues with some plates
wooting standard
good thing geon plates have a sufficient cutout for all stabs hehe
Yeah most plates that don't use plate mounts are fine
its the plate mount cuts that can cause issues with thicker stabs
Ahhh okay, I was asking because Im waiting for my silver CF plate from keyboard fun store... Since it will be taken apart again for that, Im thinking I can maybe throw in new stabs
your joking hate made me self conscious about my TX stabs
I know I gotta be careful with what I say sometimes cause people take me serious or ask me for advice lol
It is why I asked haha
Thank you for clarifying
naah I had good experience with TX AP, especially since they offer a long pole option on both clip in and screw in, which is kinda rare, and long pole knights are always sold out
long pole knights are available for me
Yeah I actually used to recommend TX AP all the time until people started having issues
just depends on the plate tho
maybe thats why clipin is on top of alexotos list
clip ins are goated, so good to work with
tbh I didnt even insert the plastic thingie on the back, they just worked well after clipping in right away
CF plate has been okay for me
like in terms of the wire and stem stuff you can always fix it, but the housing is fcked then its just fcked
That and the price
They're like half the price of most stabs
yee
yeah, but they come with with the signature scratch hehe
cause plastic isnt as smooth
talking abt cherry clip ins
and you have to clip the leg
which takes like a few seconds of my very important life
hehe
speaking about clipping, I broke off the venom db from one of my 2 venoms, using pliers
i saw :3 btw did you buy a second venom
or you doing wooting for froggy
them carbot fibers are strong
yeah one for frog one for other cases that need a db
Im planning to do a build in lx60, but now I need to figure out how to make it work with the db
true gummy oring mount is so nice, I'm even starting to think that leggera frog might sound better than og frog mini
NAH
dont go there
making my fingers itchy
sell starts in 20 hours

I won't buy one cause shipping cost as much as the case for me
i remember for me was like 20 to 40
DHL*
I wonder how much it'd cost if he used FedEx or UPS
i thought fedex and ups is for within us
Nah they got support in SKR
you could check some forwarding services maybe
to see if its cheaper
I wonder how much Iâd make running a geon reship service for wooting mod channel lol
I always wonder how much those reship agents make since theyâre all usually college students doing it as side job
hmm, could be interesting to see
Iâd just end up becoming cam and arcwyn shopper service honestly
I think they order half the geon orders for this channel lol
Not wrong
Yeah I could check the one Sno sent me , Iâve used them a couple times now and itâs usually cheaper
I have the reverse problem though. I canât buy any sony cameras in korea because theyâre all language locked without hacking it
Have to go out of Korea to buy my camera
I'll be in Korea in 2 months
to intercept the 69th acrylic frog?
Of course
Apparently you can arrange pick up from Geon if you reach out
But I could probably just arrange to get it sent to my mates place
I use a forwarder all the time, but it will depend on the country
I pay zero tax on any item that is brought in (some weird deal with customs)
Only thing I pay for is weight/size
If I dont use a forwarder then anything over roughly $170 is taxed like the country's welfare depends on it
Imagineee
So sometimes, I send it to a US forwarder, even from Asia, where the import duty is nothing on $800 and below (or was). Then the cost of shipping it here back to Asia is little maybe $20 to $40 and Zero tax
18 more hours
Everyone take your damn cursors off of silver LEGGERA g
I'm watching
When is it live?
Pom
What if baldson is greeted with this screen
I'm making sure my friend stays ONLINE WITH ME SPAM REFRESHING THAT BROWSER TILL I SEE BUY NOW
I ordered another 70 og poms for my squadmate's 60he+
Another conversion
W pom
hope you don't hear much clack
These are gaming rigs, we use headphones, never have noticed
And since we are OC for any edge whether placebo or not, performance > sound
And I think we can agree that the ttc koms have the best stability rn
Coming from Raws I thought it would have been gimmicky and no difference, but they are much better than the Raws
me in the opposite camp, less sound > everything else
Whatever your use case, respect
You tried Mathewâs yet or not a fan?
yeah I'm on the mathews now
Oh okay nice
someone put it quite well, they sound like a calculator
Haha basically
#đ§âkeyboard_modding message this is my poor recording
they wobble and scratch but they don't make any clacking sounds so I'm quite okay with this haha
Haha fair enough, yeah theyâre quiet
yeah sharko found his a tad scratchy too until he lubed
I don't think I'm mentally capable of going through the lubing process again and in general don't feel like these switches are worth it
I think I rather wait until someone comes out with a duhuk that also has the silencing leg on the bottom or something
the wobble on these is worse than lekker v2s on the top of the keystroke
on account of the boxstem it's a lot better at the bottom of course

I don't exactly understand how you have a 10km gap everywhere so the switches wobble like crazy but then you also manage to make them scratch
did you put sandy air inside?

@harsh dove doing a no tapemod sound test now just for you
wooting
my sound test recording got interrupted by mailman bringing something for my flatmate but now i can finish it
dw ill send more mailmen
#1342211699234832485 message @harsh dove god damn this sounds different without hahaha
tapemod really accentuated some aspects of these switches
not sure what i like more
probably no tape for now
hey friends, I was wondering what's the best to lube the springs from my geon raw HE:
-PTFE Oil pen (from Superlube)
-or the good old classic GPL 105?
Initally bought the PTFE oil pen in case I needed to apply a small coat of lube to the magnets
so fine by me
Hi guys I got the raw hes, should I also get the ttc poms? Are they similar in terms of performance or atleast close? Because I like the sound of raws which is quite sharp when compared to ttc Poms loud clacky sound which I donât feel is sharp but a bit flat and loud
If you are satisfied with the geon raws then stick with those
Ttc pom are quite expensive and need hand lubing
Iâm ok with the raws but if Poms are significantly better I donât mind getting them
They are a noticeable improvement in wobble
they're better by about this much
I wouldnât say significant.
lol what even is that?
Thatâs almost twice as good. Idk about that lol
Just a warning, they should be hand lubed if you dont mind doing that
A BIRTHDAY MIRACLE
hbd

If you have the money I think theyâre worth trying, but I wouldnât cause any hardship getting them
which one did you get?
Black solid sides
Supa clean
that's measured movement at bottom out. the other charts by chinese reviewers are flux instead - both confirm similar-ish results
there's diminishing returns though, in that as you get closer to minimal wobble it's less and less noticable
like how you can technically say ttc snake is 40%+ better in some wobble tests than the ttc pom, but realistically we're reaching such tiny amounts of flux that does it even matter
do ttc snakes even move? with poms there is slight movement horizontally, when wiggling
there should be somebody with them
here
Snakes are actually improved Pomâs?
i assume they do but i haven't seen anyone test them significantly because anyone who might use them already has poms/rgb so not much point lol
Money well spent
yeah ttc snakes are slightly tighter poms basically
but i mean we're already in absurdly low wobble territory to the point where paying extra $100 for it really doesn't seem worth
Double the price double the performance /s
My squadmate
Pimp purple
purple clears your lilacđ
Ez W
Purple > Lilac >> silver
đ đ đ đ đ
silver on top
see when expressed in percentages it's way more big, but that's why you shouldn't express stuff in percentages when you get to tiny amounts lol
33% improvement in top and 50% at bottom stability
yea it doesnt matter, especially on wooting. we are not getting adjustable deadzone and 0.01 rt until april 2031
you know what, my friend also ordered purple beastx 𫵠đ¤Ł
i wonder how simon is going with that actually
Non purple enjoyer canât mock
You donât have it either
đ¤Ą
I love my silver𫦠đ
except the buggy firmware
shaking my fucking smh
Duhuk stem and top housing with the Lekker V2 bottom housing is close. Itâs not a silent bottom out at all but itâs like tiktok marble, actual tiktok marble (it is real! đą).
cream is the next goal
the guy wasnât lying when he said just search tiktok
we doubted him
but it was all true
đĽş
wait can you record sound test? im curiousđ¤Ł
The sharpness you hear is not the switch
Iâll rec one in a bit on the 80HE
lekker v1 on top
gt80
So should I get the jade pros? Since a lot of people talk about raw heâs here I got those
jade pros are similar to raws, if you want to try something different get ttc poms and lube them
well if youre willing to spend 90$
Thocky marbly creamy clacky idk i cant come up with more buzzwords
Tbh it sounds interesting i am interested in the sound on a 80he or something
I would try it myself but i think iâd rather not have to swap all my switches again
what is the best song
best sounding switch is what you like
If youâre entering jade pro price, Iâd buy POMs imo, theyâre just not close in terms of switch stability.
Whereâs my subtle gummy switches
what is that
a vid with english sub(not sure the quality) but ranked 80he at the very bottom of all boards they tested
blame lekkers
which is a way... fair...
yep exactly
dogshit switches
a lot of the tests scoring low i think were due to lekker
Lekkers need to be retired ong
just spend another 90$ on poms
$90
price per gram is insane
Itâll probably dampen it a little bit, but youâd need a 8 layer tape mod and all the foam to significantly mute them
what do you mean 8
i mean he ain wrong, 200+ for plaste board and cheap caps and lekkers
itâs over for woot
at least 12 layers
for the asian market, yeah
i just wanted to see what yall think hehe
Imagine buying plastic in 2025
for us and europe not so crazy
true
much less competitive here as well
good thing I bought it in 2024
i mean, it's same as what we thought before. His reviews of switches are good and his reviews of overall boards are worthless
he checks raw specs very carefully and rates purely off that, it's why his switch reviews are really good
yea i dont think it is fair for him to focus on the switch on the board, but it is interesting perspective to look at the board as just a stock board
How can I make the poms sound sharp and crisp, is there any way?
the other issue is focusing on raw latency type specs puts boards with bad firmware higher than boards with good firmware
Like those clicky linear switches
for example venom on his list would lose to a lot of boards that are far worse
because the reviews are solely raw tested spec of boards based
venom cant even be on list no? since its just a pcb xD
he does keyboard testing too
for pcb stuff
but yeah venom with a typical raw he type build would basically get crushed in his list just due to it's raw specs not being as good
let me check, i haven't looked into this guy honestly, i just got a recommendation and saw it
he doesn't have it yet
he's very new to doing keyboards as well. He used to just only do switches
wait does that mean all the chinese boards nowadays just pack ttc stuff?
most of them yes
lol
or jade pros variants
yea
but even raw spec wise without switches venom would lose
for the ones i have seen so far either jade pro or ttc
because he measures absolute raw specs of the pcb as well
and venom is slightly older now even though it's 8k
but that's kind of why i don't like his way of rating keyboards - it's a very flawed way to look at keyboards
with switches it was good because he could just measure the pure wobble and flux etc of each switch, so at least that was quantified, but with keyboards some non auto calibrating boards with awful software would be beating some great well calibrating boards lol
since actual usage doesn't matter when it's just a raw spec vs.
yea i just went through the parts where wooting score extremely low, literally all lekker's problem
bottom rt, top rt, dynamic rt, all from wobble
kinda funny. hehe kinda
they are called L ekker for a reason
Lekker v1.1
not v2
yeah his main thing was that his tests showed it performed at a 2023 level, which makes sense since the switches are from 2023 level of switches
i am lookin at his board video as like switch video and its kinda good
mount tai lookin real decent
lmao i just came out of the weirdest interview
yeah he's one of few guys who goes in depth into the measuring of switches
it's for a internship requirement from out school
don't tell them you hate pizza, it may disqualify you from the job
and I'm gunna be a personal assistant to a retired entrepreneur
bro asks if its possible to fly me out to China in the first interview
isn't that like half of singapore over age of 50
rich people shit
it loses to koms at the bottom
better hope that retired entrepreneur isn't founder of dominos singapore
lmao it's some investment guy
and now does talks after retirement
kinda fun
dynamic rt i think should relate to both the pcb firmware and the actual switch. the data looks amazing
oh so it really is the stereotypical 50+ year old singapore retiree
yea lmao
he's 70 i think
people are supposed to intern at an actual company for the last year
ngl this is just a rich retired guy having fun with a random non profitable company
nice
badge or no
lul
No badge đ
based

wow thats a long jaw, no wonder it takes half of my window
Iâll die on the hill that the only acceptable badge is on the forest green
actually no
black and golden badge looks fine
the novemeber fog case
I wouldnât buy a black case but it doesnât look bad
wooting always wins
I swear there were talks abt this with the 5090
price per AI
Just include free water with the purchase of keyboard
Their downloaded software is weird, but their web based is actually nice af
Hey guys i said i was gonna guve u guys a sound test of my frog mini well here it is sorry it is not the best tho @tawdry tree
itâs not just lekker but I assume the way he tests, the switches donât wobble much or something
most of these cheap boards have haimu or outemu swithes
neither of which perform better than lekker v2s
I just build my first wooting keyboard imo it sound so much better then my mechanical keyboard i had before online i saw all kinds of mods to do but during the build I saw that the stabilzer are already lubed wil it help if i lube it again my self and what are other common mods to do on a 80he?
phone on desk next to it?
Yes how you guessed haha
thatâs what it sounds like
Yeah that is indeed what it is also i dont use deskmat its on wood
Might be useful to relube and wire balance your stabs if you notice theyâre sounding rattly, try experimenting with different plates, switches and cases (GT80/Bone80/zinc if you got plastic etc)
i have no experience in what sounds good imo it sounds good but i dont know whats better XD il try the relubing and case the gt80 was already on my mind yes
Youâll notice it during use if it starts to sound bad for the space bar (watch out if it becomes rattly or notice any changes)
But until it happens I wouldnât worry since your stabs are RNG dependent for what you get
only thing i notice is sounds pretty hollow the spacebar not like al the other keys
You can try getting space bar foam which usually helps
possibly the worst conditions for a sound test haha
thank you i order it let see how its going to sound
white zinc â°ď¸
why are the stabilisers doing this
đ my superlight broke
why can i do that to it
maybe the hate was warranted
shocking (its not)
what switches btw?
wooting ttc
lube stabs
