24 hrs kinda crazy time
nah i am good, its like consistent in terms of speed again i am happy
Hi @kind helm, I am issuing a 1 day timeout based on an inappropriate post you made last night which got blocked by the automod.
Please be aware that using that kind of language will not be tolerated, even if you are referring to yourself or making a joke.
If you are unsure which message I am referencing, you may DM me for clarification.
Rip homie 😭
i think we all know which one lmao
LMAO
What did bro say😭 😭
self insult

RIP, at least by then he can ask what to do next after soaking it
bro got soaked for 24hrs
what message
lost to self “mockery”
guys I tried a proper MX build for the first time
crikey mate
What board

I will make some, just need to clean my table and desk pad cause it's embarrassing rn
"We'll start by using my favorite switches called Geon Raw HE"
I would say that about his music😭
what music 💀
he does yea
yes
Ayooo
just listened to a bit of his most recent song
it’s fine
like it actually isn’t bad at all, just not my thing really
and a bit sameish to everything else out there
Haters not creators
I disliked the music even before hating on him😂
What is the Sound difference between the Wooting foam from the Module and the Tofu 60 redux foam?
🤷
I ended up going with tofu foam after trying both
Sound wise I can't explain why
I think the tofu foam might have a more consistent sound because it fills the case better
But I also chose it because the fitment was a lot better
With my friction mount
Ok I‘ll try it First

Then next will be “This is CRUNCH”
"Now this is cream"
nah, his view count will go down and then he will record "I modded my 80HE"
This 80he THOCKS
yea
Only kinda realized he doesnt do a lot of clack
And he'll still find a way to bash it because he wasn't sponsored 😭
Because that's not what TikTok brain rot watchers want
Hes keyboard sound shamer
I got them now the suffering begins today
Now this 80he THOCKS, but does it pay my rent?
So i started training AI with it

Magnetic PCB Support: Wooting 60HE, Venom 60HE, M61 Lite+ PCBs, and more.
Page link: https://kbdfans.com/products/gt-60-case
Wait are they making a 60% gt version👀
not a big fan of the look myself but seems great
The wood accent is tasty
I remember asking them about it when the gt80 released and they said they had no plans but would consider it
Kinda pog they did it
Better taste good
yeah hopefully they design it well to prevent warping
I asked them about tofu80, they said they might do it in future, but no plans yet
Everyone loving the Tuan mod lol
I only include the finest
Salt block case

The tak army would not approve
hell na
me after typing on MX
they need to make HE switches that are structured like MX somehow
😌
Soon surely
duhuk
different price points
im sure they are nice but not as good as this😭
this is like swapping from 1080p to 4k
At least not 720p
after all this time of chasing a good feel and sound on HE, I can still feel that MX is way nicer
imo
True
miles ahead
Mx is mxing
duhuk is mx
Well we're still beginning with a good start on the HE line so far, duhuk is literally our best example of it even though it's our latest release
I've seen there are some MX duhuks, but I only have these hmx made switches from geon and I enjoy them a lot
i think a possible solution to getting that mx bottom out sound is changing the size of the pole/magnet and bottom housing
The others are progression, duhuk are also a progression stage but again HE has potential
Could run the risk with the magnetic flux but sure
Give it a year or two I bet there can be some big improvements
I see the vision
yeah I wish someone made HE switches that have less of the magnet thudd in the sound
inductive might be the way
I mean like between 1 1/2 years so far we're doing good
yeah I was looking at the cherry inductive ones and they look pretty much like mx switches
not sure about how good the tech itself is
its better/ similar honestly
I think it would be more consistent
me personally i find not hearing the magnet at all hitting is best, thats why ive been on silent he and those raed he switches
But eh ima stick with HE and MX
its slower so it probably wouldnt market well to gamers
Yeah
yeah I will be running 2 boards now
same
My 60he is my keyboard
Benomm
you should try ec 😎
Won't be changing it until I eventually get the "upgraded" version if that happens years from now
whats that
2026
My sister may be getting a wooting in 2026
electrocapacitive dome keyboards like topre and niz
I don’t think it’s achievable with the current standerd (centered magnet which is a decent standard imo), but I do think we can get very close. Duhuks specifically with the magnet sticking out that hits the bottom housing. It’s unique in a way and I don’t believe we should be chasing what MX has per se.
if they release, it will be insane probably
negative latency💀
I'm not even worried about that, just would like any of the extra goodies it may have
second mcu
yeah I mean HE works as it is, so it might even mean no one will make any improvements in the direction of being MX-like
im just soo impressed by how good this MX board feels😭
https://www.instagram.com/benzjr/?hl=en)%2C holy shit i forgot
wait
Wooting centerpiece

i agree, its a bit too late for making a change like that for pcb compatibility anyway.
Mid piece
nuphy air60he has a design that is pretty much MX-like though, maybe someone can work off that
not sure how good they are in terms of magnet flux and stuff
this market is growing a lot faster than mx back in the day so im confident in people eventually finding an he switch they will like
cause the magnet there is in a diff spot
yeah maybe in several years all the mech enthusiasts will be building boards with HE switches and it will become a standard
lmao
well I mean with changed HE switches, that feel like cherry mx
i would want wooting to build pcbs for normal group buys
but i dont think they would want to put it the effort for low profits
Do I need to use those for the Tofu? (Comes with the Module)
I didn't
Are the rings for the alumaze?
wth is this piece of wood at the back 😵💫
you can take it off
accent piece
spruce, some light wood, alu or brass
its a bit scratched up but that is a prototype that youre seeing
4 choices
but it leaves screw holes (?)
A lot of what you're "missing" for the MX feel is usually in plate flex or overall typing softness and less about HE switches vs MX not being able to sound or feel similar. There are some upcoming HE switches that a lot of people would have difficulty telling you if it was HE or MX in a blind test.
Id actually wager a majority of the above average (but not advanced) keyboard enthusiasts couldn't accurately identify an MX switch vs HE switch consistently in double blind tests.
Time will tell. 👍
am i supposed to use them on the tofu? (came with module)
I really think the current standard is the best of both worlds. Especially for multi-layout PCBs where HE is unappreciated but really shines, more so than mech.
I definitely hope some more interesting HE switches are introduced, esp the ones that change the bottom out feel from the sort of typical big magnet bottom out thud
or are the rings just for module and the screws either them or tofu ones
You can, don’t necessarily have to though.
rings or screws?
Just look at what has happened in the last 18 months with HE switches. It's only going to continue and exponentially faster
Rings
It does slightly, it’s a bandage on an open wound that is tray mount.
More switches
Only there Right?
Closed bottom monochromes or Raw Lucifers, the same reduction in wobble monochromes get but then with a closed bottom.
Lucifer’s stem.
Raw HE’s top housing (and diffuser).
Lucifer’s bottom housing.
I agree, and the MX side of the things has been going for way more years than that, so it would be interesting to see what is ahead for HE and similar tech
in the meantime I will be enjoying both worlds
my journey started with a wooting 60he and I've been applying all the mech enthusiast tricks to HE, like frankenswitching or different mods
so now getting up to speed with MX 😄
lucifer stem in raw housing looks quite tight
are there any tightness issues?
like with raptors
Yeah, it’s the same as Black Knight’s stem.
Nope.
Similar wobble to KoMs (left - right) and slightly worse wobble (front - back).
and still cheaper than KoMs.. 😂
yeah the front back wobble on poms is very tight
btw @fluid ravine, just tried genuine gummy oring mounting, I think it will be super nice on frog leggera
might be even better than frog mini
is the upper housing the same too?
looks like lucifers are closed bottom black knights lol
like 1 to 1
just with closed bottom
Yeah, just without the gold flakes. ;)
That’s exactly what they are.
in this case I can say I've had experience frankenswitching lucifers 😄
cause my franken is lucifer top, raw stem and jade bottom
Yeah haha, Lucifers are also just a Deng God recolor so really nothing special.
Still nice though, it’s a cheap option.
Decently lubed as well.
Need to set up my Knight stabs on the venom and get them all ready to go for POM
Pom Pom type shiii
I Need to put them in Like this right? The geon is reversed on this side
yea
YESSIR

really curious for end results!
Will post in a few days
First time lubing switches
Better be jade pro switches😆😆
maybe stupid question after yesterday.
i got something on my mind, but dunno if its worth it.
but a 75% keyboard with HE and layout like this.
would that be worth it instead of 60%
i play games like WoW and sometimes feeling i miss the F button row.
are there even HE keyboards that are good on this 75% layout ?
Otherwise i just stick to the wooting 60he+ and build that one myself
Why not tkl
or wootings 77.5% :3c
wut
yea thought that already XD
Prebuilt?
@manic parrot
nonono, wanna build one myself
then not really no
but build as in (the way wooting is offering)
grab a module and do the rest
not a lot in the way of custom 75% HE
there are similar boards that are rebuilt, but if you want your own then venom tkl is probably the closest
How can I tell if there’s water in my Wooting btw
this.
Did you spill water in it
oke, well ill stick to the 60he then🤣
i mean what do u want really
And there was some water on outside of case
75% + you can build it?
wanted something like this
but then with HE
Other than taking it apart not really much you can do to find out
I just haven’t turned it on since
Ah alr
Since I have to mod it anyways I’ll just do the
That
Is there any chance of water corrosion or anything if I leave it in)
Unlikely, especially if you get to it quick
The pcb has a water resistant coating
Imma get to it tmr
but i want always things that are not logic, or not existing
My old keychron had some corrosion so
nowhere in this do u specify custom :p
There are good 75% he
Theyre prebuilt
but will it be close @ wooting ?
in terms of what
Made84 pro probably a safer recc
Not low profile
performance, reliability.
for what i've seen wooting is quite reliability and good in performance
yeah I just knew this one
yeah
REEEEEE
Is there any real silent switch for HE keyboards right now?
Raeds are the best we got
only now i need to find it if i can get it in the EU + case support😅
I’ll look into those right now, I appreciate it
If it dies is it covered under warranty
Can't quite say
Considering you caused it likely no? But wootings been quite lenient with warranty from what I've seen
So I can't give a solid answer
well anyway thanks for the tips for other brands @calm pulsar @stone flax but to bring that here costs me double of the H60e due customs that are rekking me. #feelsbadman
💔
stupid dutch customs 🥹
this is very understandable, I pay extra to get stuff to my sanctioned country😭
well last year bought a airsoft replica from HK, 900 euro's but forgot that customs is a struggle here.
i paid more then other dutchie did, so ill keep in mind not to buy easy outside the EU anymore
Wooting is Best company I believe
They have surprised me tons
Certainly one of the greats in terms of how they treat customers
Literally my favourite company
I’m number one Wooting glazer
Also I didn’t know the wriewt was hollow lmao
Comfortable tho
Jade pro was recommended as switches right, not that high pitch tone key tap sound
Like i shared yesterday with my ducky
good switches
and the stabalisers is getting included if i buy it trough wooting right ?
Yes, stock stabs are good. You might need to lube them yourself tho
luminkey lx60, the spec dont mention softness though, but it is very soft
oh dear oke
Glad I've got such amazing pom poms to help me get through this surprise production SNAFU today 😮💨
can yall recommend good switch/keycap pullers
thanks tho
my woot one broke
time to lube🫦
Wuque or TX
are you getting module
I wish man, this was on top of the other shit shii
shii
yea i think i will
depends if i can find a nice case for it
check gt80

i assume you dont mean the bear one right
also i also need keycap puller
you got that one ?
Ohhh yeeee
No, will get it tho
https://shop.wuquestudio.com/products/ws-keycap-puller?variant=44209898422442
https://shop.wuquestudio.com/collections/tools-and-accessories/products/wuque-titanium-switch-puller
Titanium alloy Full Titanium alloy construction makes the opener very light yet extremely durable. Thin yet durable legs Titanium alloy makes the thin legs resistant to bending and deforming. Can slip between the case and the neighboring switch without scraping the case. Short claws The claws are just the right size t
I need to order wuque puller
nice, which one you get because i see they have 2 different onces
but also this one i see
well yea would be nice, but i want the simple layout of the 75%
exactly like this, the top F1 bars as one instead some space
just that space between nummer 1 > 0 and F1 > 0 i dont like 😛
i might get the ws keycap puller and the tx switch puller
but 60% is good enough, its not a must (only would be nice thing)
hmmm maxgaming has tx switch puller and ws keycap puller
yea ofc 60he is good and also you have many case options
Wasabi you mean
not sno
I think you might be misremembering. All the TTC KoMs, Wooting or otherwise are effectively dry.
yea i saw that, but the list i have = outdated probably
If this is not allining perfectly do I Need to lower the screws
You def need to lube them to eliminate plasticky sound
that doesnt seem right
So ?
align pcb properly
Maybe too much underneath it or screws not aligned or screwed in properly
i thought wooting was selling jade pro switches, but no ?
No
they sell normal jades, not pros
previous version
but how do i get those stabalisers then
Hope they wont sell them soon, I feel bad when folks buy them for 72$😭
because i go for the module instead the whole shebang package
they are included
good pcb mount stabs are installed on the module
Yes
hero
saw video's and they said it will be included if you buy straight from wooting in the switch bottle thing
You might not even need them, normal stabs are fine with short travel switches
ah i see it
but i need it right, i mean for spacebar would be nice 🤔
but i see the're alot of em, many colors, do they have different things are all same in common ?
No, stock stabs are good
oke
i know its not correct sound.
but feels like its louder then the jade pro (if i have to believe this video)
i bought 80He pre made, am i stil able to change switches ect?
Geon raws are very good option
32$ is a steal
@sacred elm
💀
does anyone have a fjell 60 board for sale willing to buy
whats the lubricant, krytox 205g0 ?
lube for switches and stabilizers
You dont need it if youre getting geon raws
Theyre factory lubed
no but its always nice to have it myself
but i can fix that stuff trough my dad his work
Spend all day lubing TTC between calls 🐒 <- my broken neck after looking down all day
Using a standing desk and raising it up to like shoulder height is "tech"
too poor for a standing desk. I got the standard 2 alex drawers + kitchen couter top
My neck and back were pristine this go around
Gotta train traps 🫡
I believe in you soldier
meow
If you don't make it I call dibs on your board
stem wobble difference💀
Welcome to the church my friend
fr its a massive difference, also the sound difference.
feel like they are quieter but maybe its cuz they are freshly lubed
jades are still good, but imagine upgrading from lekker v1s to poms💀
I kinda like the quieter sound xD.
Sure I'm just warning that it may not last
bit pixelated but i can get this maybe @sacred elm 1KG lmao
get what
1kg??
Uh 1kg is a lot
Unless you're planning on having a Good Time
you could lube everyones keyboard in this discord and then some
if i buy it without my dad costs me like 121 euro lol
0.0
imagine using industrial lube for that💀
Dont do that
well its the same what wooting sells XD
Sure but wtf are you gonna do with so much lube
That's orders of magnitude more than you'd ever need
just buy lube kit from wooting
yep, but maybe i can fix way less that big
🤷 you do you, boo
haha and can use this also good for other hobbies 😅
Depends on how skilled you are at the other hobbies 💦
something like that indeed
But thanks all, gonna order it soon, now i can search for a case 👌🏼
Very much appreciated for all the help/tips💜
Save to inventory
im not getting the two screws in on the tofu.
the others with the stand of screws are easy any tips?
Ditch the screws go friction mount
2 year warranty for leds
ohh plenty
Yeah true. 2 years is usually plenty of time to spend with RGB to realize you should just turn it off.

for me it was 2 weeks
I just started using keycaps that are not shinethrough
ahhh check
well i was looking for something to match my new case, but gdamn
saw this
and also this one
hey guys, i just lubed and replaced the stabilizers of my wooting 80he for the first time and my spacebar feels a bit sluggish, is this normal? Any way i can fix it?
It's probably the white pads under the stabilizer housing. They get sticky when they come into contact w/ lube. You can clean them off or remove them altogether.
Also possible you overlubed your stabs. Depends on whether the stickiness is when you bottom out only or not.
the stickiness happens after i press the spacebar
it goes up slower than usual
if that makes any sense
it's good enough! is this compatible with 60HE?
looks sooooo good
in theory, but they're not all compatible
Seems to be
check
this one looks also nice btw
i have similar with new build, only waaay smaller you have haha
hello guys, can we expect Wooting TTC Pom to get better factory lube in the future?
Probably not
Me tries pulling they keycaps and the whole switch comes out
I didn't break it right...
You didn't break it.
Felt like they were glued together>.<
bet
Tolerances can be tight sometimes. Just push the switch back in and if it doesn't feel like it falls out by itself everything will be fine
Alright, I was starting to think this was a bad idea lol
Im assuming this is not normal (the bent). It all started with me Not getting in the screws and when I finnaly did it was complettely bent in the middle.
Is that the case??
You might just not have them all tightened the same?
Or you missed the standoff for the space bar screw maybe?
Try taking out all the screws and tightening them not all the way until all screws are partially screwed in and then tighten them
If you tighten screws on one side first it can lift the other side so you don't get it properly seated
Alright, I'm toasting myself after a brutal day. Thinking of relaxing while lubing some poms.
i mean the pictures above are without screws and only pressure is my finger
and u can deffinetely see the difference
So if you sit it flat on your desk or another flat surface does it rock side to side if you push on the ends?
if its just laying its on one side more up
It bends in the middle. The Middle goes down and sinks in
Wishing
I'll be honest I'm not really seeing anything
@elder hollow https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005001877565633.html?
https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005006729307975.html?
sorry its dutch, but dunno if this matches with yours
I’m going in
what are those grey things ?
Lube station
next 8 hours sorted
dafuq 8 hours o.O
I think last time was like 3, but this is quite a lot 😅
gjeeez
It's okay, I'm sturdy and I have the faith of the pom church behind me.
Just be careful with wooden cases
oh dear, why that ?
They're hard to get right usually.
It's more so just the property of wood and not the actual makers themselves
Yeah wood generally isn't a great material sound wise
For keyboards it also has a tendency to warp over time
im really clueless what kind of case i should get then around that price range
Upcoming leggera maybe but not that much I'd recommend below a tofu60 redux
Holy fuck this Toronto plate was not as easy to install as keeb fun store ones
leggera is the brand name or ?
Had to use their standoffs instead of supplied ones bc it was half the size of the other ones and had to force the zinc case together 💀
Made by Geon but it hasn't released yet
But do you love it
Haven’t had a chance to try it
ahh oke, gonne look for some information
FROG MINI LEGGERA[GH60 PCB Compatible Case] by GEONWORKS Compatible Plates & PCB HE: https://geon.works/collections/venom-60-he MX: https://geon.works/products/venom-mx-pcb-plates Not compatible with the original FROG MINI with Tadpole Mount SPECS Mount: Gummy O-ring, Tray Typing Angle: 5˚ Front Height: 17.6mm MA
@fluid ravine can keep you updated
he said that they said soon like in march
heyyy what are the best stabs for the jade pros with the 80he?
found the tofu60 redux on aliexpress, also on stock so might go for that one
and my keyboard is slowely dying getting more trouble with it, so i basically need it quite quick, otherwise im F'd since i dont have a spare keyboard here 🥹
Maybe it will be 8hr 😅
🧘♂️
Yellow? It's probably the light that's very warm. It's GMK BoW (black on white)
Don't tell me the truth buddy
that one ?
oh haha
just do thick lube on stems only and bag lube the springs
ez speedrun
Oh I'm definitely bagging the springs
But I'm not willing to go thick on the stems. I don't like any sluggish feeling, much as I may prefer the sound.
just throw the lube on it all in one with 1 throw 🤪
@cyan lark kinda feels like a CF plate lite
That's kinda a sell to me
oh btw any sound tests?
it was kind of traumatizing to put into a normal wooting case tho
it has like a small metallic undertone to it that none of my other plates had
kinda enjoy it but others might not since steel plate had alot of haters
aside from install I think I like it more over CF
CF you hit it the wrong way and your fingers feel it lol
alu feels more controlled in that aspect
Nah, only takes me like 2-3 hours do to 60/80HE
and I lubed everything
big differece lol
Yeah but I gotta do both 😄
Oh you mean both keyboards lol?
are pbt dye-sub keycaps considered good compared to double-shot pbt keycaps?
then yeah like 5-6 hours probs
just considered different
dye-sub are usually deeper sounding
oh i had no idea, i assumed dye-sub were worse quality than double-shot
well my last question guys, then i can shut my mouth completely then i have to look it up for myself.
but what kind of keycaps are nice to use, i think if i would go for clicky pbt i would yeet everything out of the window here, somehow reminds me to the clicky razer keyboards back in the days 🤣
legends on dye-sub may wear out faster, but it's also probably many years we're talking abt, so mainly people choose dye-sub for deeper sound or if they want some busy painted design
those are double shot pbt ?
both black snail and wob are $89 I believe
bc i bought some dye-sub keycaps so i was curious abt their attributes , from what u told me i think they're a good fit for me thank u for ur responses
or
They can just
Never wear out
Ever
Lol
Not necessarily
just stuff that i read on reddit but i didnt do deeper research
holy fuck glass pad feels so much better than cloth
What pad
interesting webpage ill look into it more
superglide glass pad
switched back to my zero xsoft a few months ago just now using it again
its so smooth
i dont use their skates
just the glass pad
only glass skates ive used were the wlmouse ones
ahh oke, yea these looked nice, but also slides nice, only need to upgrade the mousepad to get the most out of it, using a steelseries mousepad for a in game loos and other was completely worned off after 8 years orso
this one is way thinder, but doesnt really feel nice
worth it to go for pudding keycaps or are those really crap to use ?
unrelated but black snail would look so good with this accented color
sweet
lovely colors tho
yeah black snail has nice kits generally, I got me the vintage looking mods + cream alphas, looks great
that one looks pretty neat tho
its so annoying, trying to find seperated key caps or just 1 key cap but internet hates me XD
not smt u should worry abt probably
found my old lube container, time to fix my as;' key :)
i might to all of them if I feel bored one day
Alright, lubing 150ish switches in one night was ambitious. I'm gonna finish up my 60 and save the 80 for the weekend.
damn love the color case
It was chosen for me 🙂
hahaha
RNG salvation
(purple addict here)
150 is crazy. i did 70 and my eyes couldn't focus on the switches towards the end. it's like my eyes were always out of focus
I knew a purple addict a long while back. You're fun people.
lmao
that's really nice but i'd hate it after a month
I think a lot of it is the headspace. Getting a little 😵💫 putting on music and knowing what's in store makes it much easier to accept.
I guess whoever has this keeb
oh thas me
You got a purple beast right?
mines the lilac mini
Oh that's your pic 😄
yeah
I'm a VV3 chump, no fun colors for me T_T
my next beastx is probably just gonna be pure white
also went back to my glass pad now
feels soooo good
If I got one I'd probably go silver 🙂
Hell yeah glass pad enjoyer
The only thing I'm coming to terms with is they just kinda chew through skates, right?
ptfe ones yeah
uhmwpe is supposed to last a lot longer
havent tried them yet though
I used those in dot form and they last a while but eventually succumb
tbh, even with torn up skates
Glass pad tax I'm thinking of it as
it feels better than my artisan with ptfe/glass skates
That surprises me. How so?
I haven't used an Artisan, but I was given the impression that they were quiet smooth (for fabric)
theres a slight scratch because of the worn skates but its still a much faster/smoother pad
yeah they are great for cloth pads
glass just built different
like the micro movements/micro corrections is just sooo nice on glass
That one I can imagine.
and the lack of friction makes it feel a lot better for me
Yeah I do recall having to overcome initial friction for fine adjustments being a bit of a pain on fabric.
I get that. Tracking feels different.
like on cloth it feels like its being dragged back a little where as on glass its just smooth
MTNU is such a comfortable profile. Can’t wait for my other sets to arrive.
cherry >>>>
Alright bout to apply the lube & oil to the last batch. Can't wait to pop these back in.
Love
That’s fucking fire
Sick build, cuh
yummy ???
Hey welcome to the church brother
I have been summoned
chose wootings because faster shipping
Resident leggera expert

Bro just spends every day praying to the legerra gods (Geon) to magically appear lol

We're waiting for the acrylic units to be secured
Alu have been confirmed
Once acrylic is out, it's go time
Pesante should be later
No news on it
im in love with gummy oring mount
lol fml
could be just MX being so good though
Gummy o-ring is just another form of friction fit, right?
does wooting make aluminum cases for the Two HE?
Not bringing it down, just making sure I understand. Never done one.
the original way from mech boards is when it also rests on little posts around the case edges
thus venom pcb (or other MX pcbs) having cutouts for the oring
So the oring is kinda clamped down on by the case, but the board is still suspended?
Need the Balder to explain?
actually yeah cause im doing some work rn haha
No stress, just curious and here lubin'
Dw I gotchu
❤️
thats not true
i was bullshitting him
trust me i wish it was march 17 too
ah lol I had a little suspicion
it literally is the friction fit
not yet, they've mentioned they might if there's demand for it
its not a high priority for me but since its not a 60/80 layout theres really no options for a new case
Gummy mount, friction mount, and friction pad all use the same method of fitting into the case via friction fit, meaning the pcb and plate is being held by the oring/pad which fills the gap between the pcb and plate to the case. Now what seperates gummy mount from "friction mounting" is that the mount utilizes the gummy oring to create the soft typing experience by cutting half circle on the edge of the pcb to match the posts of the case to where it only the oring is actually making contact with the case. And this is where the #a hardness comes in. The softness of the board only vary depending on what hardness oring you choose, lower the number the softer, vice versa. Friction mounting is pretty self explanatory, you use the oring or pad to fill the gap of the plate and pcb to case and you use friction fit to install it just like gummy mount but without the half circle cutout bs.

Balder's Gate to keyboard knowledge
Oh fuck lemme get my specs
Gotcha, thanks for the detailed explanation my bald son!
Worked my ass off and I learned something today. Good day.
im using gummy oring mount + additional gaskets for the top case on lx60, and it's super nice, like the keys on edges don't have that extra hollow sound to them, it's all very even
The sections near the posts don't have much variance to the rest of the board?
That modding mat looks legit, which kind is that? And silicone? @cyan lark
No problem papa LOL
Wdym by variance?
I confuson
theyre just there to hold it
Yeah, got it from GN to support 'em. Plus I needed a place to solder shit without doing damage to my dining room table 😄
could be stiffer depending on implementation
but the edges will always be stiffer than middle of board
Ahh nice, I knew it looked familiar! Ty!
Just like if there's only points of contact between the posts and the o-ring I'd think the areas near the posts would feel/sound different
Going out of business sale.
im on MX rn, but yeah for example on my frog mini HE build, I find Ctrl keys sounding more hollow than Alts, but on this gummy build it's not the case
I mean it always does lol
70% off
@cyan lark
Gotcha, just learning. Appreciate it.
Alright, reassembling and putting all this shit away 😮💨
Ughhhh the one time I could get the opportunity to buy this but I can't
@fluid ravine do magnets on dahfuks actually go past the plastic on the stem? any pictures?👀
Yes
CAM confirmed for us
I'm eating dinner rn, I'll show later

Can anyone recommend me some good Grey keycaps for wooting 80he?
Maybe Dualshot?
I originally wanted to create a set using stock colors that hadn't been done before. After a small round 1 in 2019, the set became way more popular than I ever thought it would with people asking every single day for us to bring it back. So here it is, back for a second go, with the blockbuster treatment! – Garrett
Dualshot, 80082, ASCII, DCX Dolch, DCX Hyperfuse
All i can think of on the top of my mind
was also curious and looked it up
so it just means cherry profile
interesting
Time to Lube some TTC Pom
Good luck soldier
I just got my 60he module so i took out the swithces im gonna use, geon raw he's and i compared one i just lubed and a factory switch and they sound the same imo, should i just put them all in factory?
you are correcto, Geon raw's are already great stock and we personally advise to just lube the springs to save time
the springs come pre lubed tho?
im not gonna lie, i forgot LOL, i think they come dry, correct me if im wrong
but it's not really good enough anyways
it's better to just lube em rather than the other parts
alright thanks
yeah np
but yeah even once the lube break in, they will sound the same stock but there will be more consistency in less to no spring noises and it will be smoother
i lubed 2 batches of 60's RAW's and I have one batch still left as stock
they still got the same sound profile ofc but i can hear some spring noises on stock, not a lot of them only like a few.
Damn it low key kinda quiet without Josh
LMAO
it kinda is
wait nah-
it's hella quiet without Pops
I miss Pops so much

Duhookies
dough cookies
what
Kinda sounds like popcorn being made
it also has some nice "ring" to it, not figurative
My old case LOL
rip tofu clone
What's the config
FR4, silicone sandwich pad, 70A tadpoles
Damn I got one wrong
I guessed 80a
yeah I keep switching the tadpoles out to find what I like lol
Yknow me going with the lowest #a
Wait actually I'd go anything from low to med
Oring I'd go for 30a-45 or 50a
I don't think I would like anything higher
Yeah I find myself landing somewhere in the middle usually
Honestly I think for a oring, I think 40a would be good for my preference, right in the middle of low and med. Idk how well gummy mount like isolates the sound of the board and like dampening it like a gasket mount but I think in terms of stiffness and sound, 40a might be it for me idk
Yeah 40A for Oring is what I like
Ima try 30a first on my leggera once I get it, and then 40a that it comes with
and 70A on the Tadpoles is in the middle so
Nice nice
cause it goes down to 50A and up to 90A
Ah yea 70a sounds like the sweet spot then
Smh
thats what I did😜
though im starting to think that gummy mount in leggera might clear frog mini
I feel like Frog Mini has broken spacebar
Hard to get it to sound right sometimes
yeah, I guess it doesnt work well with the "top-mount"
this mx spacebar sounds so pleasant on gummy, where the pressure is evenly distributed (I feel like)
is there like a mounting point at the spacebar
there is the HE standoff right next to the spacebar, but that's on all HE boards
and on the plate there are holes for mounting tadpoles, but they are not that close to the spacebar, so not sure what could be improved here
can you send me a full pic of the plate
I took one for HE
the first was for MX
the left tadpole for the left stab
hmmm
the right one is fine
but def the left
funny but usually my spacebar on the frog is acting up on the right side, but it could be related to that too
uneven vibrations or smth
yeah most likely
I could try using just 4 tadpoles in the corners, but im enjoying mx too much rn
what abt your lx60

sooo gooood
wait what it called
luminkey lx60
yeah it feels nice, but if Im nit picking I have some ticking, but that's on me
when typing and hitting spacebar in one spot its fine
I used included stabs, but might just grab some knight v2s I have left
otherwise is the pitch on all 3 sides the same?
cus if so then yeah it could be most likely the tadpole placement on the frog mini being the problem on the spacebar
yeah sure
like when it comes to spacebar i tend to focus if the bottom out sounds the same on all sides
iuhiuhiuhiuhiuhiuhiuhiuhiuh
like if theres rattle or ticking then that could be easily fixed
my spacebar sounds pretty good
perfectly balanced
not a big fan of the reverb or thud on the top out
but hopefully true gummy mount can fix that
here actually sounds kind of even on the frog, but just hollow in general xd
yeah they sound fine actually
just fix up some of the extra bs like rattle or wtv
hollowness yeah
otherwise bottom out pitch is the same on all side which is good
now you just gotta fix the problem of making it sound good
hardest part
like everytime i hit the spacebar on my board i can feel the whole desk vibrating 😭
even with the keebmat
it's insane
all because of the top out
😭
even with dahfuks?
oh no it's because of the duhfoks
ah I thought it was cause of huwk duahs
the stem design to like dampen or absorb the top out contact is making that reverb noise
but like honestly, even without the duhfuks 7u spacebar do be vibrating already
but just not as bad as it is rn
like i suppose it's because of the mount and the 7u naturally
but otherwise the switch just adds more of it
freaky switches
duhuk with raw stem
on spacebar
sounds the same as a normal raw switch
hm I'd think it would be diff cause of different bottom housing
ok what's funny is that the bottom out pitch is similar close to the same
duhuk vs raws or duhuk with raw stem
it's the top out that is different
one is silent, which creates the reverb cus of the contact absorption and one just tops out like normal but not silent, but creates less of a reverb
reckon it's going to be better on leggera
for surew
the mounting is a problem rn
the shi fits loose in the optimum case
making direct contact with standoffs and post (even though they have silicone covers)
o i think i just found a potential problem to this as well
i just remembered i swapped out the spring with a 15mm 60g geon spring
soooooo that could be one of the reason to a high reverb as well
yeah it is, just swapped to a stock one, much better
could be thicker = louder
tried raw with duhuk stem
sounds deeper
more muted top out compared to raws
i can work with this but im good
ima stick to stock duhuk
@harsh dove did you say that they mispelled Duhuk?
they're called duhuk studio
duhfuk
Thanks by the way. Just did this
now just gotta learn how to use davinci resolve x.x

Can anyone explain how to put a pc plate in lmao do I just replace the white stock switch plate
And add the extra foam
Yep
wooting has guide on youtube
Swapping out your switch plate can seem a bit challenging, especially if you're new to the world of keyboards. Don't worry; just follow this tutorial, and you'll be good to go in no time!
