it's cause it can depend on how sensitive you are to sound/pitch changes as well and the switches you're using

like for example if you have loud and sharp sounding switches you'll notice plate change more than if you have some more quiet subdued switches like lekkers

Yeah, and to add on to what Sno said, it’s metal vs plastic so you can assume more resonance with the metal steel plate than you’d get with plastic (PC)
