My geon raw he's were delivered yesterday. Finally got to switch out the lekker v2's. It's like a night and day difference in feel and sound quality. Holy hell

Also, the lekkers were a living nightmare to get out. I had to have broke AT LEAST 10-15 of them. I tried 2 different switch pullers and they just wouldn't budge. No issues getting any of the raws out at all, but the lekkers were miserable

Just fill up the case but make sure that you dont have to compress with pressure. So just basically don't put a lot

M size O'ring and at best you should just get clip in stabs for compatibility, smth like cherry clip ins if you want affordable clip in stabs

And I suppose the hollow part of your board had to do with the case, friction pad shouldn't provide hollowness but change the frequency of the sound profile since its made out of silicone. So thinner or muted would make sense

The standoffs on the Venom are soldered onto the PCB rather than the standffs being on the plate

so you would like put the plate on top of the PCB and screw in the screws from the top rather from the back of the pcb

That takes a lot of time and hassle just to remove the lube, like you could remove some from the switch and apply a proper coat but you could just do a thin application right over the factory lube

It could be because only one side is bottoming out fully onto the pcb which I suppose is the left side.

For your space bar it's working perfectly fine in terms of how the key caps is fitting onto the stabs even without spacer and LP stabs. But rn since it's still unbalanced or like slightly tilted, everytime you bottom out, the left stab stem will hit the pcb and your right side will either barely touch it or doesn't at all.

I would just try to remove the keycap and look at the stabs and see if they are uneven

gmk spacebars can be warped and stuff, but it is usually in the up and down direction, not like this

Hi everyone I just joined the Wooting community. I am very happy with my 80HE. But to be honest I could be happier, performance and looks are awesome but to type its a bit tricky. I am used to type on low profile keyboards, at work and at home MX Keys S. My question is if it's possible to use low profile keycaps or if not, wich profile would i benefit the most from? Regarding switches I bought geon raws he because I saw some reviews and they sounded great also with the 80he but in my case they sound clacki as hell and I prefere the Lekker v2 60 because they are somehow much more silent and have a pleasant pitch comparing the Geon raws. I would like to ask witch switches are the best soundwise? I like them marbly or silent thanks for your support

You could try jade pro but they are also louder than lekker v2

As for low profile keycaps, you can use any keycap set that is mx compatible but keep in mind it still won‘t be that low due to the switch and stem sticking out further than they would on a low profile board

If you want you can also try using a wrist rest which would elevate your resting hand position, that could help with comfort

get a nuphy/made68air if you really want to go lo pro

tho the nuphy air line with gateron jade minis still have 3.3mm of travel, and the made68air has ttc kom minis that are 2.8mm

the boards themselves will be low to the ground, so no wristrest is needed

are the jade pro's better sounding than the max ? I have bought the wrist wrest and thats fine. my issue is the height from the keycaps I keept accidently pressing multiple keys at once. i would prefer them to be almost the same hight as in the MX Keys S.

right now there's 20% on the Gateron Site and to be honest I already "wasted" money on Geons so a few bucks more wont kill me if they're indded better and better sounding. but then i will pull the trigger in the pros.
regarding the keycap profile do you think the DSA profile would suit me better?

dsa is the default low profile, but companies like lofree and nuphy use their own

nuphy also has a 'berry' profile which is a shorter cherry profile

They sound different and the raws have pretty poor build quality

But there's also a pretty significant price delta between them

Oh and the pros will alter your RGB a bit since the diffuser is green

Both the raws and jade pros have less wobble than the lekkers, so you'll make out better there.

in terms of price at least for buying a few switches the jade pros are a bit cheaper cuz they have free shipping while the raws dont

i get 10 switches for the raws instead of 4 for the jades but i only need 3

The clips break off quite easily, so if you end up pulling them out again you risk busting them up. The light diffuser is separate and easy to pop out. They are difficult to remove as well.

Mostly issues if you are inserting/removing them somewhat frequently, if you just put them in once not as much of an issue.
