They’re made of purely PC material, you get a sticking issue (and friction) from PC on PC contact and they aren’t smooth. If you don’t try any other switch you could get by, but they’re not the best experience.

Hello friends. I have been rocking the 60HE in a Salvation case for a couple years and decided to spring for the Optimum gray as that fits my setup a little better. Also, I decided to donate my old board to my brother while I live on with a 60HE+. Here are a couple general findings I have had recently and over the last few months:

• The friction mount "works" in the Salvation but the little spring leaf rubber standoffs don't do their job when you insert the foam. This results in a stiffer experience than is advertised by the Salvation. Tofu and Blade seem to work a little better here.

• Pretty much all non-wooting switches need more lube. This includes the magnetic jade pros. There is a friction that you feel when you press into the key from an "off-angle" which can be pretty unpleasant. Because I am lazy, I went with the Lekker V2 L45's and they are smooth as hell... just wish I could get that premium sound that the Jade Pros do.

Also, the Everglide sticky rice switches sound incredible. Same issue as the Jade Pros though. I think that friction I was describing has to do with the dust-proof walls. WS Dash switches didn't require much lube but still needed more than the lekkers.

Lube the SW Knights -> unscrew the plate from the PCB -> unscrew the stock stabs -> screw in the SW Knights -> screw the plate back on (you can use either the foam or silicone pad for in between -> insert the Raw HEs -> screw it into the case -> add keycaps and plug it in.

side lit keycaps usually conform for south-facing led's because well... the legends are on the south wall
