do 5+ layers, make sure you have some foam at the bottom of your case (if stock 60he then its already there) and perhaps lube your switches and see how you feel about the new sound of your keyboard

i think the lekker v2s are more than good to keep, id say try lubing them and if you personally dont like the sound, then you could look for other switches in the market. personally i dont actually know of any truly silent HE switches. the gateron jade magnetic silent switches arent silent fyi

I have both the jade pro and the geon raws 40g. The jades have a much more profound deeper thock. The raws however, if you really dampen your board, the high pitch clacks are not that noticeable, but it’ll end up being a very silent switch. Also depends on key caps. On stiff and thick pbts the clack is more pronounced

they are longer though so they have a snappier top out compared to normal jades

but if you need it heavier then yeah raws with 60g are good also

Was on different video's. But I know that doesn't say everything. Often in those video's the voice-over sounds way to smooth which tells me an eq is used, and I doubt the recording of the sound test is done neutrally so it's already distorted there. I think I'll just keep to these switches and experiment with some foams and other mods to hone in on what I have in mind

I think 40g vs 50g doesn't change much, but jade pro has brighter top out cause it's a bit stronger when returning back

as long as you lube the spring and the switch itself (depending on how well lubed it is from factory) it should be fine

Yeah, I got these because I like a little heavier actuation, so going to the dashes would have been plausible if there was a reasonable difference/improvement.

just test one key and see if it's okay for you

You should go with gaterons jade in that case, raw he are also a gem if you know how to mod them well, if you only care about sound and fun, go ahead and pe foam mod, and tape mod all you want, if you got the time, re lube or lube your own switches completely, it’s worth it

im using the switch lube from wooting and there a rubber insert that came from the bottle. Do i put that rubber insert back into the bottle to perserve the lube

because it dont wanna go back in lmfao
