using housings that have good fitment for a given wire thickness or something such as adaptive housings that dont neccesitate just the right thickness will definitely lead to better outcomes

nothing new he did there, what you want to do is fill up the empty space… technically you can use confetti… many people use eva foam or polyfill because it cost nothing. for tape just use any plastic painters tape if you can find it, just be sure to ground yourself while rolling it off because the pulling at the roll can create static that you’ll pass onto the pcb then - same with the tape he uses.
also very important, something wootings youtube channel nor any other channel shows, you need to cut out the chips on the pcb, especially the little rgb controller, it can get pretty hot.

keycaps play a good role in minimizing seesaw

top is gmk bottom is jtk

If 40g springs aren’t light enough for whatever reason, I’d try looking for lighter HE springs and putting those into your RAWs

When applying tape mod, you need to make sure that the tape sticks flat onto the pcb, and for full affect, try your best to get all the air bubbles out (just get the tape to stick directly on the pcb as much as possible at every spot)

Tip: Punch holes for the screws on the PCB so you can take it apart another time when needed instead of having to remove the tape to take out the screws and reapplying.
