Not really modding so to speak but this felt to be the most relevant thread... I'm not the heaviest Tyler but I'm much happier with the "thunk" of the 80HE compared to the "clack" of my TWO HE, especially as my TWO is now in the office. I have the wooting switch splitter and lube kit but is there any value in my disassembly of all the TWO HE switches and adding lube, or do I just bite the bullet and by a full set of V2 switches? Will lube at least help the original switches approach the sound of the v2s

if you only cares about how deep the sound is, you can just try to add some foam, but for two he i don't think it was made for modding at all. pretty much your best option would be to change to a deeper sounding switch.

add lube would make the sound lightly deeper and more muted, but at the same time it is really time consuming to do.

and if the gummy mount doesnt work with venom, I assume the gasket mount might work if you just attach the pcb to the plate, similar to the frog mini, so it just hangs there

but for the gasket mount custom LX plate is required, so if it were to have standoff holes, then it might work I think

@calm pulsar It's a no go, even with clip-ins. The JST port location on the bottom of the Venom is located about 2mm too far down on the PCB compared to the cut-out for the JST channel on the Midway brass plate.
