Depends on what your looking for. The 461E(Plate) and Redux Aluminum both sound pretty clacky with a PC plate and a silicone pad.

The acrylic tofu (haven't had a chance to try) I've heard is really nice.

Yeah switch switches. Change plate. Use foam for plate foam. Mount it differently. Change keycaps. Lube/oil switches. Switch tape mod. Switch foam pads. Foam for case or polyfill or kilmat maybe.

You can use sound deadner like kilmat as your case foam to lower the volume. And for the sound signature/profile you would have to configure the board from the keycaps to the pcb like switches, plate foam, tape mod(?), and etc. And yes you are correct about plastic cases being deeper than aluminum cases so if you'd like, go ahead and use the plastic cases for whatever board you're using.

@stone flax @shadow fern Not entirely sure what the argument was about and I frankly couldn’t care less who is wrong or right. There are three different switches with the same name, it’s easy to get confused.

Haimu (manufacturer) has made two switches for Everglide. The first (Sticky Rice), an open bottom and the second (Sticky Rice (referred to as “Glutinous Rice” by a handful of vendors), a closed bottom. You can easily recognize a Haimu magnetic switch by their clip-in style mounting pins. I personally call Haimu’s Sticky Rices “V1” and “V2” respectively but that is by no means an official name.

Hejin/Grain Gold has made one switch (Sticky Rice (referred to as “Glutinous Rice” by some vendors) for Everglide. A closed bottom, recognizable by its lighter pink stem and its almost-transparent bottom housing.

If the official name was or wasn’t Glutinous Rice or whatever other Rice variant is irrelevant. Vendors have and will continue to call switches what they feel like, be it accurate or not.

Now for the recolors (the same exact switch with a different color). There are two recolors of Haimu’s open bottom Sticky Rices, one with just a teal stem and the other with a light pink stem and a purple bottom.
There are two recolors of Hejin/Grain Gold’s (closed bottom) Sticky Rices as well. One with just a white stem and the other with a blue/grayish stem and a gray bottom housing (made for Latenpow referred to as “Deng Gods” by vendors).

I hope that clears things up a bit, for other people as well that are confused about the three. 👍

I prefer RAW's. I'll see what the Jade Max's are like when they arrive. Mag Jade's and Jade Pro's are pretty much the exact same other than a very slight tweak to the stem wobble at the top and under full compression. Like very minor.

Oh and they also get glued into plates even more than the OG's which is wild to think

It's been done for a long time now, you won't get the same affect of bouciness as a gummy mounted board but the sound profile should be more even throughout the board.

You could add some case foam that fills up above the standoffs and posts to add a bit of bounce but the foam needs to return pressure.

if it makes you feel better I was able to rehab and learn how to spin double cork 1080s off 70 foot jumps after the acl injury rehab, so you'll be fine long as you work on it regularly and get a good gym rehab routine
