Dude that shit was a mad steal
Nah that’s sweet tho
Cuz there was an august sale
I would've had to fork out 50 but thank fucking god i only needed to pay 37
Yeah that’s real good
Ye lmaoo
And ever since i got it the pinging from my space bar and shift apart from my spacebar has stopped
Ordered that Nylon plate lol
The grey?
Might just spray paint it
Yeah
Tired of waiting. He might never have black again lol
And he’s going kinda custom and filling in some openings
Pretty HYPE
That’s such a sweet deal
IT IS LMAO
Technical question, but outside of the fact that the hardware doesn't exist is there any reason that Wooting PCBs wouldn't be able to handle pseudo low profile switches?
The low profile jades have different housings ofc but provided they had bottom housings compatible with Wooting PCBs is there any reason they wouldn't work with Wooting's standards?
First of all is that the magnets from the low profile
are not low enough to reach the PCB
Considering most low profile stuff are 1.2shims
Does the brass case for the uwu make it more quiet?
And 2nd of the all the magnets differ as because low profile has different ways to make it strong or weaker but looking into low profile shld be weaker
Interesting, thanks for clarifying
Cuz it wont reach down so no way
I was curious because HE switches seem to have a lot of potential for diversity/variety in switches rather than needing lots of different standards
at least as far as I understand, if the switches are specced differently then fair enough
Its not about the standards most of the time it depends on which board youre modding and what type of keyboard are you going after
BUT if you plan to get a switch id recommend the RAW HE
Either the 50 or the 45
60 is a bit risky for some who dont wanna loose some speed
Due to the rebound
I'm using jades right now, gonna wait for the new stuff to come through tbh
And the stiffness
Im happy with my RAW's as it is
I'll swap over to lighter once i am back from my IRL shit in 2 yrs

bro is contractually obligated to capitalise RAW HE every time
I want something silent tbh, I feel like endgame for me has always been less noise rather than nice noise
how are the raw HE tolerances though, is the 0 wobble legit?
Gotta do that else people wont be seeing it

its a 1.2 wobble compared to others
If there will be a low profile magnetic switch with a centered magnet, then yes. All you’d have to do is change the plate/stand offs so they’re closer to the PCB.
as for noise
Noise it sounds like jades
idk abt silent
I don't think there's a market for it as Wooting has picked up a lot of the gamer crowd, but it's so cool knowing our PCBs have that potential tbh
I can see it happening, definitely.
i mean a few already asked
Imagine swapping plates out for a LP set when you're moving around, it'd be super cool
I wonder if there's a world for >4mm travel switches too, I'd imagine that's harder though
Sadly not the same as making it to prod 😕 I could see it being marketed as making it easier to rappy snappy or something though
oh nah
just buy switches and keycaps (low profile) and wooting module
and hotswap them urself
Oh that’s cool
Definitely, the shorter the travel, the faster you can spam the whole travel distance if that makes sense. I think there would be a market for it.
">"
not "<"
LP switch, 35g spring and some PBS keycaps
I feel like there'd be a good market for 5 or 6mm switches for people that like gamepad controls on their kb
Explain yourself more!
not sure if pcb would calibrate to that though
Does anyone know how i make my uwu more quiet?
Yeah, I think <4mm is great for sort of practicality but full sized switches feel so much nicer to type on tbh
In context, it doesn’t make sense. Did he mean more?
yes'
for more control
like here
🙇♂️
You're still right with what you said @tawdry tree , lower travel switches would also be good
and a lot more marketable I'd imagine
I don’t know about a 5-6mm switch though.
Wouldn’t be compatible with any keycaps either afaik.
For Woot!
not for our pcbs though I don't think
havent tested
or am I wrong
It physically doesn’t fit in Woot’s PCBs.
Needs a hole and the magnet is offset.
true, there are mx to choc stem adapters but it is added height
maybe
Wooting has the power to unify full size and low profile keyboard standards
kind of nuts
when they release the ortholinear 40%, the timeline will be fixed
Whoa
Neat
The wifi symbol keycaps
-10% Latency
+10 style
The key cap has more bars than my pc at home
Yeah 4mm actuation feels really good for sure personally think that’s the only issue with Raw HEs is they are only 3.4 feels noticeably shorter
Looking good G
Word, my guy. Thanks for the encouragement lol
Just need those god damn black swag knight stabs
And the BoB PBS and I’m chilling until Cosmos drops
Yup, then you're set
Not me realizing this is my 5th plate for Wooting 60HE LOL
white pc, black pc, black PP, grey nylon, black Alu
I guess the white PC just came with module but still
I just want to be done

I’m just a clueless noob trying to find his way in the world lol
Just means you have the patience to try out stuff. That's a good thing
And deep pockets of bands
Hello people
I don’t know much about keyboards and I’m planning on getting the 60he.. would I be able to switch the keycaps from my higround 65? I just don’t want to give up that design
Keycaps are compatible ofc but the kitting doesnt match
Got it, thank you
get the 40he
guys where can i find good iso french keycaps
Is wireless functionality possible on the 60HE with 2 different wireless dongles?
Like a wireless USB-C wireless Transmitter, and another reciever plugged into my PC to recieve the actions. I want to play video games on my TV, because some games are just fun to play on a bigger screen.
If it's not possible I am completely fine with that, just will have to find other options.
If the receiver is powered and connected to a giant battery bank
Wooting needs power lol
Any links to a power bank that's compatible? 😂
I'm not pretty sure it would work lol
Best option is to get anotherkeyboard for when you are in the bigger screen and that's it
Or 20’ usb cable
Yeah, true is it unhealthy for me to unplug my 60HE into one usb c, and plug back into my main usb c consistantly
Just get a wireless keyboard for when you are on the TV
I really doubt you can turn a wired keyboard into wireless
is it possible to get 30$ alu case?
Closest to that I think is the GH60
Ty @untold wigeon for the 3 raw hes
why does the 60he+ module come with two plate foams
or rather it comes with the plastic plate thign already installed and then a pe plate foam
Nah, it’s one or the other
will putting switch pads or a sheet of pe foam under the plate affect the magnets
As long as it’s not thicker than about 3mm iirc, it should be fine
is it good enough or just invest for tofu?
I haven’t tried the GH60 personally but it seems like a thinner Tofu
it fits wooting yes?
I just got a bamboo gh60 and it fits perfectly
Yeah
did u enojy it?
its a nice case and even comes with a cover, my only problem is that it's flat and doesn't have an incline
it also is more than $30
wdym incline
the tofu has the keys tilted a bit towards you, but the GH60 has them flat
i think thats what he means
Yeah I think it has 0 degree typing angle
i have a wooting clicky.
with this I would have the creamiest wooting
ever
they also feel mega nice..
no more feeling wobble
its definitely louder tho
but still hella nice
what keycaps are those, cerakeys?
yes
Oh hey it's the build contest winner 👋
hi mark
👋
My god, the right one sounds sooo good!
What are the full spces if you don't mind
Klippe T Case
Ceramic Keycaps
Lekker60s with 3 layers of switch tape mod using Gentle Paper Tape
Lubed switches and tx plate mount stabs with 205g0
PC Plate
Poron switch pads from divinikey
Poron plate foam
1 layer of masking tape, 1 layer of moleskin tape for tape mod
Polyfill
Gummy O Ring Mount (Using Bakaneko o ring)
I didnt think raws would be this much of a difference in sound and feel...
lmaoooo
What’s a switch tape mod
kinda like temptest mod, but on the other side of the pcb
nah its on the inside of the switch, useful on lekker v1s
cause of the tolerances
oh that one
ye v2 lekkers should be way better
like what I did?
cauz I put tape on the top and bottom housing
although didnt help since the tolerances were so shit
well it did, but not as much as I would have liked
yeah I did this like may of last year, it took foreverrrrr
and the result was only ok #1107810291888169010 message
yeahh it was painful
i think my switches aged pretty well tho
mine didnt, the tolerance only got worse when I cracked open the switches and introducing stress into the plastic clips of the switch that hold the top and bottom housings together
and the tolerances was already bad to begin with
rip
It's almost time for me to upgrade ngl
these raws r..
too good
I got black knights and they should be arriving soon
they sound similar, but lekker has a sharper sound
I wonder if I should give this an update, I havent changed this thing in a year (kind of on purpose, kinda not)
it's more of a comfort thing. You can always prop something under the keyboard if the angle isn't comfortablle
is there any sound tests on the new jades?
am i deaf or .....
i cant tell the difference LOL
does someone have goods looking keycaps for under 20€ ( ISO french )
and i dont really own any keyboards before .... so how do we tell the diff
just sound
lemme see the video again
whatvideo
ye
did u change ur springs or is the stock 100g ?
i changed it
actually i dont even know lol
frijoles sent 3 of them to me
to test out
HAHAH its fine
alright cant wait to order em
yeahh you'll love them
know what i mean
Nice!!! Holy crap that was quick. It said not until Monday
oh i mean like the lekekrs
lekkers *
that come with the 60 he
Oh 60
ah i see
i will be going for the 50 g raw hes i think... like someone advised me on here earlier. what do you think ? @marsh saffron
A switch pad of around 0.2-0.3mm is fine and can be used with the included foam.
Good choice
aight bet
yeah I was actually quite surprised myself too lmao
had to double check the tracking number
yeah seems like lots of people like raws at 50g
these keycaps go well with my 60he+ ??
Seriously
personal preference
but they do fit
for the layout of the 60he+
alright
@quiet bay your board sounds so nice with the Raws in it.
yeah the raws sound so much cleaner than the v1
like wthh
Do i need to remove the extra standoffs with gummy oring mount?
Get gengar vv3 pro lol
optional
haha already have the white one
Any difference between leaving them there and removing them? What would you do personally?
i take off the extra standoffs
congrats on wining the keyboard comp, just finished watching the vod from yesterday
i find more bounce in that
thanks
❤️
You won something again? Lol
wait guys do you mind clarifying something for me? theres two different oring mods you can add to a keyboard right? theres the little ones that go on the stand offs and the bigger one that you put in between the plate and the board?
the little orings one the standoffs are usuall called burger mount
ooo i thought the bigger one was the burger mount, since it looks like a burger xD, thanks for the clarification
the big oring mount is called friction mount cause you squeeze the pcb assembly into the case and it is held in there by friction
like Erik said on the stream btw I think
I see, thanks!
Sounds great @quiet bay
now I only need 58 more raws
We can now atleast know that the RAW's in comparison just sounds louder
ye
still has that signature pochi sound
noticeably louder
hehe

Raws are intriguing but I'm sticking with my dashes until silent HE switches come out
What u gonna do with the other 2 if youre gonna keep it on your spacebar
maybe can put in the UwU
i put them on the esc and enter key
enter key alot better now
ah oka
makes sense
I'm really happy with how mine sounds rn
Although might go and mess with my spacebar stabs
im still being a little sucker on why i lubed mine
Lubing my dashes was so worth it
I feel like i will open my switches again and fully unlube every part except the stem
im going crazy
didnt you do it yesterday?
yeah i only did it for the top housing rails
what if lube with 3204
i havent done it with the walls of it
and im not sure if it's still dampening the sound a bit
ill continue to look into it
my raws and geon HE springs will be here in 10 days
usually i should know by now what parts that are dampened with lube and what isn't but damn im questioning myself
WINNER OF WHAT
I MISSED IT

The Contest Build from last week
check the latest live on wooting YT
How do i go about putting the module with o ring in my case, it's tight, and my o ring is getting on the plate
Is a gmk set worth it?
try doing it without plate foam first so you know how to get around it when you use it with plate foam
as you insert make sure you slowly and progressively push in the oring between the plate and PCB all around as you install it
🐸 🛫
I had a quick video explaination on how to do it but i cant find it
FROGGGY
yuppp
it is on the way to US tho before being forwarded to me lul
Too much work nvm
Did you spring swap anything else or just the spacebar? Finished my board last night and the spacebar is a bit hollow. Going to try either PE foam or poron. Will also go in and hand lube the raw switch. Those ceramic keys really do add a nice pop.
You ordered the raw aluminum one from cafege or what
I got featured there too btw😎
but Erik and Mark ultimately chose Pochi cause of the thoccc
yes
the last one
they will get some restock but for some time there won't be any left
I think i did it, screw in stabs were a bit problematic , now to figure out how to remove it for when i receive my tofu
if its too tight you could remove corner switches and take it out easier
Yeah pochi HE go crazy NGL
Was it erik that said thock>clack 😂
For uninstallation?
yeah Pochi's lekker v1 build is genuinely the real thock
Yeah screw in stabs for friction mount suck
Yes.
yeah he said even tho clack is the current meta, his vote is for thock😄
Cuz the o-ring is hanging on to those switches. If they’re removed it comes in further
Makes it ez
The princess of thock
My job has been done and now the legacy must go on
I think they are personally, best to find them on sale from places like Omnitype though
@drifting bronze
Also, went back to POM plate for my frog
The Alu ain’t it for me
Makes the bottom row alphas and spacebar sound weird
yeah I gotta order a soft one while the case is on the way
do you think I should go for POM by default or should I consider PC, ABS, PP ?
PP
I’d consider POM, PP, or PC
sweating with a creamy build rn
which material you've got?
PP and ordered Nylon and Alu
I guess I can just order POM so that I have the softest and the hardest available plates lul
POM softest?
Man so expensive to try them all
But it’s really the only way
RIP
we need like a Wooting modders frog plate demo set to pass around
I think the biggest differences are between three categories:
any plastic plates
FR4/CF
any metal plates
so might get one from each category
Or just give Tom all our money
Tom is the man. He is sending me a free PP plate because I tried some stuff out for him. Can't wait to try it
but ofc these have small differences among them
That’s huge
yeah awesome
Actually
Yeah I’m tempted by CF but seems opposite of quiet thock lol
it is indeed dense, so closer to clack, but I think its a bit more muted clack
Might look cool with cosmos tho lol
cause the highest frequencies are being dampened
damn I guess I have to order a plastic plate AND a CF one too
I think with CF you can achieve a nice clack without it being too bright
Man oh man
@harsh dove what plates do you have for frog mini?
I’m going broke buying them all
yhhh
I have this written up guide that I asked tirade if I could add it to the modding faq but he hasn’t gotten back to me yet as he’s on vacation iirc
Which Plate Material is Right For You?
Selecting the ideal keyboard plate material is a game-changer for your typing experience. This guide simplifies the process, focusing on the most popular materials: Aluminum, Brass, Carbon Fiber, Polypropylene (PP), Polyoxymethylene (POM), Polycarbonate (PC), and Flame Retardant-4 (FR4).
Assessing Material Properties: Each material offers unique characteristics. Aluminum, known for its rigidity and moderate sound profile, is a versatile choice. Brass, heavier and with a more pronounced sound, provides a very stiff typing feel. Both these metal plates provide a hint of resonance (brass even more so). Carbon Fiber stands out for its lightweight and high-pitched sound profile, ideal for a stiffer typing experience. PP and POM offer flexibility and a unique and poppy sound signature, while PC provides a softer typing feel with an great amount of flex but being the deepest of the plastic plate materials. FR4, same as PCB material, offers a balanced typing experience with good sound absorption.
Considering Personal Preference and Use Case: Your choice should align with your typing habits and aesthetic preferences. For gaming, materials like Aluminum or Carbon Fiber are preferable for their stability and responsiveness. For office use, PC or FR4 can be ideal due to their subtle sound profiles. Aesthetically, materials like Brass and Carbon Fiber stand out for their distinct looks, although not really visible while keycaps are mounted.
Actionable Tips:
Match the material with your primary use: Aluminum or Carbon Fiber for stiffer typing experiences, PC, POM, PP or FR4 for softer typing experiences.
Consider the sound and feel: Brass for a pronounced and resonant sound signature, PP or POM for a unique sound (poppy) and feel.
Think about the weight and aesthetics: Brass for heft and luxuriousness, Carbon Fiber for a modern look that may match your vehicle.
Don't overlook the flex: PP and PC for flexible builds, Aluminum for less.
Test if possible: Try different materials at local meetups or a friends to experience them firsthand.
Our list for flexiest plate materials - From flexiest to stiffest:
- Rank 1: Polypropylene (PP)
- Rank 2: Polycarbonate (PC)
- Rank 3: Polyoxymethylene (POM)
- Rank 4: Flame Retardant-4 (FR4)
- Rank 5: Aluminum (Alu)
- Rank 6: Brass
- Rank 7: Carbon Fiber (CF)
Please note there are more plates than what are shown above. These are just the most commonly seen within the hobby. Also, this list is based off our experience/knowledge. YMMV
oh so CF is the stiffest, interesting, I thought it was closer to FR4
Two Alu and one POM
Idc about feel. Just sound TBH
how would using the module without a case be LMAO
mine doesnt come for another 7 days
sad
Leave it in the foam lol
there is a piece of foam that comes with the module, you can just set your module on it while you wait
yh it just says MODULE on it lol
do i wait for that
you can use the preinstalled plate while you wait too
it comes with a white PC plate installed
so far i'm loving the friction mount, board is so bouncy now :D
kk
just didnt know if i hsould put mine in rn or wait for case
yoink thanks
will eventually be in modding faq anyway xd
@fluid ravine fixed the ping with force break mod, but still want to bag lube the springs tbh
it wont ruin it using it like this right?
I mean, shoulnt be any issues
on Wooting YT they mention that you can use it with this piece while you wait for your case
ah ok
also I think there's a Wooting employee who uses it like that always lol
Oh fk. I need to get some electrical tape lol
do i just put my switches in it? dont need to do anything before
Yeah plop switches in, throw keycaps on and plug it in
yeah the module comes with the silicone pad and PC plate preinstalled, so you can install switches and plug it in and it's a fully functioning keyboard
Np
Yeah def helps. Installed my SW knight stabs as well finally
Liking them
there's an rgb window which should be on north side to align with the leds
Which layout do you have Erix?
ANSI
ANSI
Then you're good to go with the switches being north facing
ISO enter is west facing so that's why I asked
bet
btw have yall seen the giant ass enter on GMK Cosmos? it can fit on ANSI layout lol
Guys is it worth paying 160 for a set of keycaps?
@polar girder @harsh dove this enter can go on ANSI lmao
Yeah I've seen. It's kinda cool. Didn't know it fits ANSI that's nice
hahaaha, euh...
to some people
yeah its wild
you mean with the rgb window?
or am I misunderstanding something
its just for reference
so you can see the layout
ah I see
wtf lol
yeah it just goes on both enter and the \ key
so we can be just like the ISO chads
but tbh I still like the ANSI layout lol
Yeah
might have to cop this up too
What about sound tho?
I feel like that typical Clack>>Thock graph is kind of bologna
I think this graph only works when you already know what goes into your build and just want a specific change to the sound
nah 80G springs
is where the $$$ is at
anyone playing under 60G is gonna be missing fingers in a few years
Yes and no
In what matter
if you're willing to pay 160 and it's a set that you like, why not
I never seen pp plate
That’s why I sent her 3 😂
Buy bigger pad that will include your keyboard
Just to make sure when tub lubing the switches 205g krytox won’t affect the magnet at all right?
Like the stems specifically
uhh I dont think it will affect actuation, but it might become soggy and mushy when actuating, cause of the lube at the bottom (depending on what switches you have)
I have Raw HEs should I wipe off the magnet side before assembly you think ?
nooooo
what the
tub lubing
😭
tbh when it comes to raws I'd say just lube the springs
I think Cam and Thackson would advise this
yeahh I wouldnt do this personally haha
I mean this method is kinda barbaric haha, too much lube everywhere
especially when applied to HE switches, cause they have magnets on bottoms and the stickyness of the lube will be more noticeable
I swear I heard this was the best method just leave the bottom housing
I guess hallelujah effect switches are different so I’m just not gonna do it
????
Lazy sure
Wasteful aswell
Imprecise too
But not best
Have you ever tried it mjj?
Doesn’t brushing take like 4 hours vs 1 hour
?
ugh I imagine the lube being on the keycap stem as well, and when you install keycaps the lube is going to be squeezing out ewwww
@fluid ravine kindly explain to this man that tub lubing raws is a sin
Bro thackson is a noob at this thock stuff
forget about thock your switches are going to feel like shit 😭
lube everywhere!!!
yeah but even Pochi, the winner of the build contest is telling you that
- it'll def get scratched
It’s mentioned in there
by the other stems inside
Can anyone send me a pro video for lubing Hall effect switches then?
Pochi? Pochi won the build contest?
I’ll join the next one for a participation award too 🥇
Just bag lube springs or brush over the rails bru
Its not that hard 😭
yuh
for geons you dont even really need to lube the stems, just the springs, cause they are lubed well from factory
yeah u really only need to lube the springs
no recommend tub lubing stems cuz stems r not scratch-proof
Pochi can I see your build ?
like the sound or the picture of the board
Both pls
ima quickly do a sound test of what i have rn
and i'll just post old pics
ignore backround noise my dad is blasting tv downstairs
only esc, spacebar, and enter key has the raw he
when I feel like it Imma redo the bottom vinyl
and do a diff design
maybe will do a chainsaw

you could do something abstract like your deskpad
honestly, I've been wanting a blank deskmat ngl 😂
I got this deskmat cause it was water resistant and it was black and white
and symmetrical
fair 😄
I do like my just black razer strider, and its also water resistant
but some of the pads that come with gmk sets look too good sometimes
I tried ignoring it for a while but
there's a small defect on my deskmat
and I can't unsee it
Ignore dirty deskmat…
You want my Venus XXL?
I’ve got that and a custom cable to offload
ohh how much?
Prob just for cost of shipping
oh shi fr?
I used it for a year and cleaned it but then switched to Saturn pro
Yeah it just sitting
alr sure
I have a little piece of cloth peeking out of mine
@harsh dove @calm pulsar what were your guys opinion on the WS Stupid stabs?
personally havent used them, but I think Cam confirmed they work on Wooting plates
I was thinking of ordering some stabs from WS (v3.1s), but havent got to it yet
Snap in is not the same as plate mount correct @calm pulsar
yes, the clip-in stabs go in the same holes as screw-ins, just without having to screw them in
So for v1 wooting 60he I want “plate mount”
theyre ok
oh actually yes, the OG 60HE wouldnt support the WS Stupid stabs
Oh ok! Glad I checked
I think as far as plate mounts go, ppl have been recommending TX AP and Durock V3s, the plate mount versions
I can find the Durok ones but the listing is so confusing
link it, let's see what's there
DUROCK Plate Mount Stabilizer V3 Highlights Innovative Design 1: Elastic Support Base Inside Stem / Slider Innovative Design 2: Smaller Wire Gap Innovative Design 3: Angled Snap / buckle of Housings Advantage: Minimize Wire Wobble and Noise Compatibility: Min to 1.2mm Plates Style: Cherry MX Plat...
Like 80% or 100%
80
The color and wire color part I get.
Oh ok.
100 kit
Overwhelmingly positive
I guess I can't copy an image

Wukong looks awesome
80 kit
Tried these yet?
yeah as a big soulslike fan, this game looks tempting
Durock v3? yeah
Opinions?
Solid
Ok sweet.
They're like Top 3 in my list
Stabs are the only thing left stock on my board lol.
and the WS Stupids are alright, nothing amazing
But they don’t work with V1 correct?
Yes
Ok. Just double checking
Ty guys! @harsh dove @calm pulsar
Opening Raw HEs are so annoying holy fk
Yeah they are sticky. Most difficult ones I’ve messed with
yeah I cant imagine opening up 61 let alone more than 100 for a 2he 😨
I had to try again to open the raws up like 5 times lmao
even with a switch opener?
i use all switches stock, because just swapping them out alone is kinda tedious
Changing springs from 50s to 80s
i just cant imagine opening all of them
Yeah idk if it’s a super cheap one just takes a lot more effort to seperate bottom and top housings
Also I relubed the stem because I never did it and wanted to try it but I’m using a brush
Also just bag lubed all the 80s with 105
i just dont feel like hand lubing is worth it, bag lubing i guess fair enough
In America layout is ansi correct?
yop
yup
Try spring swapping a whole board worth. It was awful
me building a frankenswitch out of 3 switches, then disassembling, cleaning and relubing all of them😭
in the end it's all worth it atleast
True
wait did you buy 40, 50, or 60g raws?
50
haha yeah, i guet that it makes a difference, but honestly. for me it doesnt really matter
ooh cause they felt really soft and nice
Indeed they do
fair, just having fun with this hobby 😄
Literallly bleeding for this shit 🩸
yeah, i get that a lot of people just enjoy tinkering, but thats not really my thing
wtf
Who besides SMK sells a POM plate?
Just cut myself idk if my switch opener is shit or these switches are insane
Why does he want extra money if it’s not a stock or frog case???
He does?
I think with your case you just select "Standard (Stock)"
Oh ok.
He’s that Tom guy who was here the other night right?
Yes
Yeh.
There's some of us in here with plates from him
I assume its extra if the case requires a whole different kind of plate, like if your case was an actual gasket mount or something
I heard a POM plate and I love it. Never heard it before. I thought pc was awesome. I was wrong
but in your case, the plate dimensions should be just like a standard wooting plate
Makes sense
They are exactly the same
yup
What’s his username? I can’t remember it
Then type in wooting 60he under it
@ then hypekeyboards
and you'll find him
How long did it take you to spring swap btw?
Oof. I don’t know what I need then. I think just standard
Spring swap and 3 configs took me 3.5 hours
Oh ok. I think I get it
Not sure how you got the option between frog and "not on the list"
oh is this because POM isnt available in the usual 60he listing?
Wooting section for plates
wait POM is available
I accidentally hit “other”
I think this is what he needs?
Yup I see now
Yup that should be good
And if you friction mount I recommend putting in a note saying that you don't want the tray mount holes (see second pic)
yeah should be looking like this:
Well actually like the top plate in the last picture
Since you're using ANSI
Ok cool. But crap. Already ordered
I’ll try and message him here. Maybe he can make a note of it
It's ok. You can just message him and ask for it
Ok cool
Ok I messaged him. Hopefully he catches it.
@smoky totem check DM please.
lol. Need to cover all my bases.

going all out huh?
He'll most likely message you to confirm the layout etc anyway
Idk how u guys hand lube a lot
are there any pics of the wooting 80 he pcb?
I need to take an adderal break
Yeh.
pain is temporary glory is forever
That’s the quote I needed to keep going
POM plate and Durock v3s ordered.
sounds good
my cherry clip-ins arrived today and tomorrow an alu plate from kbdfans shoud come, will be trying raws in it when they are here
This should sound really nice
I’m personally dying to see what loud ass Raws sound like in a POM plate lol.
I think a POM plate will tame them and make em quieter and more rounded up
u got an alu plate from kbd?
for wooting or for somethin else
Pom with Raw?
yup they made a wooting compatible alu plate, I asked them to put it on aliexpress and ordered it, cause it was initially only on their website
This is the hope
yeah in a frog. My setup is very similar to Cams
btw do you find raws louder than dashes? or is it the other way around
That’s sweet? 60he in a frog?
is it this or somethin else
Yeah. I think the only difference is in which tadpoles we're using
Omg Raws are WAY louder than Dashs
yup it's the one
ohh I see, I guess due to semi-open bottom
How does it fit the bottom row?
I guess
What do you mean
Doesn’t the frog only have two switches flanking the spacebar?
but also alot cleaner sounding 😂
if it's loud at least it's pleasant
Oh yeah way cleaner
Do you have to take out switches to change the pc plate?
it is available in WK, meaning no extra metal pieces covering key spots
dang this set is super nice
Oh ok. I didn’t know that. I only saw the other one
Like this.
yeah there were 3 options, where Windows key is covered, then HHKB, where the Ctrl key is covered
and also the usual option
Yeah that's what me, big, cam +++ are using
Ok. I thought they were all like that. ⬆️⬆️⬆️
It’s sweet
Yeah. Just expensive and hard to get a hold of
soon to be me as well
That part I know lol
wish i knew that before
If you're gonna use the green keycaps it's gonna look sick on the silver
well they released it like 2 weeks ago
yeah this is probably going to be the main setup, though geon's own gmk black snail would look nice too
pretty recent
That's 2 good options indeed
wait released what
kbdfans made an alu plate for tray mount not long ago
its in black too, kinda nice
oh but tray mount
how much did u guys pay for your frog minis 😂
frog mini leggera looks nice but tray mount
yup, I ordered it before I ordered the frog 😄
i got a good deal
yeah also should be relatively cheap
its 70usd in korea
- TAX
wait the frog mini leggera??
tf u say
yeah
does it come with a weight?
Respectfully, i was the first few that achieved thock on the older 60he without all the "switches" that came out
WTH
😂
The weights are removed in the leggera
yup its made in china and one-piece design, thus cheaper
man i was about to say that some bs in my name
ah I c
frog at home type shit
leggera 😴

can I oring mount it?
isnt the other version middle usb port tho
u can buy the leggera vers that u can o ring mount
pretty sure it would work with the friction mount just like klippe t
it is
u cant do friction?
or like it just meant for tray
you can, I just meant it's not for frog mini
you can
depends which vers of the leggera
on the regular frog mini tho
u cant rly
or wooting themselves can make one 👀
(PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE)
you gotta use your authority as a contest winner to compel them to make a gasket mount case
I think they arent released yet?
oh fukk they are released
wtf
i dont think anyone who went to the gateron expo is here
so no
i dont think so
you can order tho
it just went live
meaning
no one would have it hand lol
except for those who physically tried it at the expo
or those in china
ah you beat me to it
hmm actually reading abt its features... doesn't seem all that exciting
I wonder if actual tolerances are improved
oh didnt realise it just went live. I assumed since it was there and the other new ones weren't that it must have been out ashile
I think its mainly the led improvement?
the website says "precision upgraded" I guess tolerances are improved after all?
what the fuck is tub lubing
u throw stems into a container 👍
and shake shake shake
with lube inside
..
they need to make a 60he pro. A premium 60he for like 500usd with some good mounting options
dude, i will unalive myself if i ever see "tub" lubing ever again
I gotta get a part time job to be ready for that 😂
dual mounting sheeeee
and a gmk collaboration set on top of that, make it 700 usd
id buy that easy
damn I should ask gateron to send me some jade pros for review, cause my vid w/ jades got more than 40k views
sheeee
type shiat
i think gateron should send me one singular jade pro for 2.1k :)
real^^^
srsly
raws are good
and tell them that you are a VOLUNTEER and they should send you sum
xdd
i hungy
We all hungy… FOR 80HE
imagine receiving switches for review and eating them on camera
60HE PRO***
Me
i should invest in a webcam to make some yt videos
Speaking of webcams
Should i do my module installation on webcam, or should i do it on my campus
screw that. I need a 2he refresh. add all the upgrades to it and make it in white... please wooting?
man im excited to see ppl try the low profile jade's or the max. from what I'm hearing, they showed the low profile being hot swappable in a normal mx case
A full size keyboard? Where are we? In an office?
werent low pro jades made only for nuphy HE? how would the low pros work in an MX keyboard?
Comparison of the GATERON Low Profile Magnetic Jade Switch installed in the NuPhy Air60 HE with the KS-20 Jade and KS-20 White
"on my campus" as in where you study or smth? english not my native 😄
no idea. but im really hoping gor the latter
ooof I feel personally targetted
Yes, as in where i study
I'd say at home with a webcam might be better cause you can take more time to mess with angles, and setup your desk for the video too
You have a good point
Tbh I prefer just a longer spring vs dual stage a bit
fair, I did like the spring on black jades, but ended up going for 22mm 70g springs in my current build
still curious to try stronger dual stage springs, havent seen any 60g ones or higher
@tawdry tree Jade Pros released
Yeah, there’s a guy that showcased all of them already: #🔧│keyboard_modding message
ah yes Vleaides just linked me the vid👍
Still not really sure if anything is a big upgrade tho
yeah I gotta see for myself
Not only the low profile ones, the silent, transparent and the pros
transparent ones are max I believe
everything but the integrated he
yeah
is there a difference between original keebmat and the felt one
@dapper hazel
yes
original = thock, felt = clack
bet thanks
more foam = more absorption
felt separates the foam a bit so it’s a different sound profile
if you want to get rid of hollow or plastic case sounds, original + optional keebtape if the board is very hollow
:)
3:30am here :)
don’t worry :)
🇪🇺
Yeah I want the felts
Haven't got one yet
look at dms
ok
Mocha?
yeah
keycaps?
nicepbt sweater weather
im also running no foam, no sandwich pad, and friction mount
tofu redux ofc
im getting an alu plate and cherry clip ins soon
switches?
hmm no case faom ay?
black jades
noiceu
who needs burger mount when we have friction mount
who needs a mount when theres a table
ong just the pcb and plate on desk
no case
nothing
put foam below tho to decrease wobble due to components
who needs a keyboard when there's nothing
why use keys when you can write with a drwing tablet
i dont have anything in between the plate and pcb cuz to me i feel like the silicone and foam deadens the sound
No need for a case when you have tape mod to protect your pcb
same i use nothing cus im not a big fan of sound modifiers
i like the pure sound of the switch with the plate
except the PC plate makes my RAWs sound dead
ong thats why im getting an alu plate
so ima need a CF plate
steel plate :3
icic
I'll never understand the whole keyboard sound stuff.. i use silent alpacas and all the foam i can get to minimize any noise that might exist xd
the absence of sound as a sound profile is in and of itself a sound profile

naw the only time I would use a silent keyboard is if I brought it into school or something
cause good lord my keyboard would definitely get confiscated LMAO
having a nice sounding keeb makes typing essays slightly more enjoyable
i want a tactile clacky keyboard to type up essays ngl
how can you survive being the annoying guy in any vc tho
acting like noise gates dont exist in 2024???
my mic never pics up my keeb
Noise suppression

unless ur using a headset mic
and have an actual decent mic
ur keeb wont be picked up
dont blame the keeb blame the person dumb enough to not know what noise supression is

or blame them for using their shitty headset mic
i know what noise supression is but it makes any mic sound shit, im using an sm7b as my main mic and it clearly picks up my keyboard unless im using the silent one even tho its like behind/under the mic so pretty much placed at the low spot of the pickup pattern
idk much abt mics
i have some $30 usb mic
but it doesnt pick up my keeb with supression
and to my friends i sound fine
yeah same
Guys I'm thinking abt buying this gmk set for my keyboard what do you think?
prob no where near as good as an sm7b or whatever
