open bottom switches are usually quieter and lower sounding, but that's cause the stem doesn't hit anything at the bottom

I personally like the feel that is closer to conventional mech keyboards so I like jades/raws more, they have closed bottoms, so the stem hits the plastic at the bottom and gives you more tactile feedback from it, and a characteristic sound

if you want to try a closed bottom switch like jades, I suggest trying geon raw he switch, cause these are considered better than jades at what they're trying to achieve

the bottom out is softer on these and the tolerances are even better, which means less wobble and chatter

A micrometer or caliper works great. Do note that for some switches, the stem goes further down than the top housing so you wouldn’t be able to measure the full travel distance right away. I use a little magnet as you can see here:

Those keycaps won’t look as they do on the picture. Wooting has north facing LEDs and that set has the legends on the south side so they’ll be quite dim.
