I have it mounted the same as the stock steel plate. Since CF is incredibly hard like steel to me it feels no different. The only difference I noticed is sound. Perhaps if I mounted it differently it would feel different.

Rather late reply, I hope it’s still useful. The little foam stickers (if that’s what you meant) just dampen and change the sound that the stabs make, the thin ones you don’t really feel but you can feel the thicker ones. Some like the stab sound, others don’t so I’d try and see how you like it. 🙂

The issue itself isn’t resolved yet afaik, the one which causes the jades, lekkers, ks-20s to show the same behavior. I’d retest yours in the latest firmware and see if there’s a change. Mine work without issue.

hmm, generally sw knight stabs are considered "better" because they require less modding. Durock v3 just came out with a similar stab, otherwise it's up to you from there to pick which you prefer. Cherry clip ins are super cheap, easy to mod, and work with builds like oring mount etc

Everyone’s experience is different but some of the highly recommended stabs would be Cherry, SW Knights, Durock, and TX AP

Or Gateron stabs which is what Wooting uses

Well there’s a few things to consider when buying long pole. You’ll likely be fine with standard pole stabs with reduced travel switches such as Jades, RAW HE, etc. It mainly comes down to your keycaps and how tight their tolerances are i.e. how tightly they fit onto the switch stems. If they are loose then you could end up with keycap wobble, mainly on the spacebar. To alleviate the issue, you can use small silicone o rings on the stems or get long pole stabilizers. By getting long pole stabilizers though, you can’t use them with regular switches. But you can use regular stabs with any switches. So just keep that in mind.

Removed all the foam apart from between the plate and pcb
