personally i prefer raws
Yeah go buy raw
Ive liked the Jades and Dash but Im trying to look for creamy and thocky in a switch
I live in the Middle of Europe
thats fair
ima wait for more v2 lekker sound tests
Maybe try lav then?
lav?
If you want a quiet and possibly rattly switch then yeah that's a good choice
Neo lavender
I was just asking about it earlier lol
Where i have a 27% tax on everything
these ?
Yep cam loves them
I need a sound test lol
He's kinda obsessed
feels bad
Really not gonna find a creamy or thocky HE switch currently
sadly 😔
Thats what I figured since they are new
so i will put my hope on v2 lekkers
i didnt get taxed

Damn I summoned him 🤣
lmao
a good switch will change an entire keyboard
Lavenders are nice, kinda poppier than jades
they're probably not going to be much different from yours, just cleaner sounding
don't think this would add to the "thock" specifically
When clicky HE switch ?
imo lekkers are on the deeper side
Open bottom supremacy
yeah fk that i aint going back
Harvest click leafs from melodic switches and put them in Lekkers
tho i want razer green clicky
berry berry tru
Yeah that's true my keyboard was much better after I swapped from l60 to jade but really a good anything will change a keyboard
compared to closed bottom yeah, but they just don't have pronounced bottom out, that's why they appear deeper
whereas there are some MX switches that are deep sounding and still closed bottom
I just don't think we can get this for current HE boards
Razer green clicky?
The hardest part is done
aw man, I just feel like v2s would still be better than my switch taped lekkers cause
I can still feel the wobble
and sometimes the chatter
Yeah my spacebar kinda sucks and idk how to fix it
Famous last words
yeah I think there's going to be an improvement in that regard
switch tape is cool but a good switch shouldnt need it
Yes https://youtu.be/hu-yYkBMKv0?si=qu5UGfC0jhFMShJg loud = funny
Maggiori informazioni sui silenziatori/o-ring:

Maybe in feel yeah
Not sound tho
I imagine
TBD
I think RAW hes are perfect for you they are super stable
raws are on the clackier side imo
you'll mostly get a creamy sound with them
Yeah but like deadass though, Pochizo STM is pretty good, mine still had a tiny hint of chatter for some damn reason
I didn't buy the Nexcare Gentle Tape which is prob why my tape didn't stick on the side outside the housing
or maybe it's how u applied it 🤔
I applied my layers one by one
ye ye
They’ll prob sound pretty clean
Hey Everyone! It's been a while since our last release, and I am excited to introduce our newest creation: Yep, its Blue Cheese Switch!
If you loved our original Cheese Switch, you're in for a treat. After 8 months of development and fine-tuning, we are thrilled with how the Blue Cheese Switch turned out.
Inspired by blue cheese, this switch...
I was looking at reviews on reddit and people were complaining that the two he sounds worse than the 80 but I thought the two keyboards were using the same stuff just a different size
I wish he was as old as mx then we would have so many more switch options
We would have HE KTT Kang whites for ppl who want creamy sounds
nice switches
I can clearly hear the bottom out
the spacebar kinda ruining the vibe tho
Honestly I think v2 vs STM lekkers would be a tiny bit different in terms of like sound, feel and volume. Like I can't say it's a major difference but in my theory I think the v2 would sound fuller (also cleaner) and louder on the top out than the STM as the mod is suppose to like "dampen" both top out of the chatter and direct contact between the plastic to plastic.
But yet again, STM is just like a mod to reduce the bad variables of the lekkers and the v2s should be the fix to all of them
no I havent lol
oh ok cause I was wondering if my coupon would work for u
yeah its just that the hall effect keeb structure doesnt allow for such switches yet
we do need that pin that goes through pcb for that nice bottom out sound that's pronounced and not as loud and thuddy as currently on HE
Oh damnn
I feel like most of the deepness is coming from the board
I can imagine this not having like case foam
Guys how many switches in wooting60he?
I agree on the top out sound being cleaner, I think it might make the whole experience way better
Yeah I'm sure by the time I'm like 90 they will have them
Y1
61
those sound nice whatg
61
Thx
Are the magnetic on the black knight stems the same as the lekkers or a bit stronger like the raptors?
61 ansi and 62 iso
buy 65 in case thats what i did
I would get a few extras just in case
Maybe start with 3 extra
They're fine, already tested
How did you test the strength of a magnet 🤣
Aren't you still in hs what kind of machines r u using
Analog monitor lol
I'm was asking to understand how many lube drops I need to add for my springs xD
oh wait is this a joke 😂
Fr how much was that
Genuinely curious
I think like 5-6
Wooting has a Github to test the Analog of the switches
To check if it has any compensation error or issues and all that
It's 61 springs right
I usually do a drop for every 10 springs
i did 10 tbh
indeed 1 switch = 1 spring
CAM taught me how to use it and iirc he told me they work fine while he was teaching me
Yeah fk that less is more method !
have yall seen that there are 2 new plates from kbdfans that are countersunk and fit wooting?
ghosty-white PC and full black aluminum
@fluid ravine @quiet bay
@untold wigeon
someone posted about it today and I immediately went to ask kbdfans to put them on aliexpress
mf i need to buy the full black now
haven't seen em
only 24 remaining in black
do i do it
i just might
tofu redux plate?
I will certainly, once they put in on AE
i might just sink in rn and do it
yeah its called that cause it comes with their redux HE kit, but it fits wooting too
ye ye
dangg I NEED that black alu plate
From my testing: #🔧│keyboard_modding message around the same.
on it🫡
im gonna have to buy through a middleman if they dont put it on AE
I asked them tho, we'll see
Wait @calm pulsar is it like somewhat see through? the ghostly PC plate
Is aluminum plate on the clunk side or ping? lol
preciate
im probably gonna buy it and find out
looks like it on this render
it should be quite bright
Damnit I just had an order from KBDfans come in. I dont wanna pay another $20 for shipping just for a plate
if it's somewhat transparent I'd be curious on what it will look like on the black PCB
cus i imagine this hollup
Guys, i just lubed my spings)
But i dont relay feel any lube on them, is it ok?
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking.
You should get a brighter plate for your clack build
I think @polar girder has something similar, but his is a bit more transparent that these, it looks like
Just like the CF without the relief cuts
yeah i will, which is why i want someone to try the alu plate first
yeah i feel like maybe kbdfans's is whiter a bit
Like i'm still thinking of getting like CF but i wanna see alu
actually have you tried steel plate with your wooting?
I wish it was like that
like with the raws?
cause vs the pc plate the steel plate had a much better clack altho some ping at times
tbh i dislike how i see a white plate so i just might
My steel plate was way louder than the CF one
same, I got 3 black plates already lol, need this alu one now
yee its very loud but it brings out a good clack
way better than pc plate
pc plate makes it sound like silent switches
This makes me want a tangerine
Ye the plate just makes the switches look pretty
At first glance i would think it was a plateless build lol
the switches in the vid are tnagerine with cream stems bt3w
It does. You really have to look
Can’t wait to do plateless HE build
Oh yeah that'd be cool
Gonna try screwless build again this weekend
Too bad the sticky rice aren't compatible xd
o lawd, soldering 😨
isnt that kinda unstable tho 🤔
Maybe the V2s are. 😮
can someone answer) pls
Not if done right

or speed glue
ahh ok
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v613sO7-M4U @untold wigeon
Here is the build VOD for the E-White TOFU where we experimented with a few different approached to make the TOFU sound and feel good / bouncy!
0:00 - Sound Test without Poly-Fil
13:45 - Sound Test w/ Poly-Fil
Case: E-White Tofu60 - https://kbdfans.com/r?id=icdu2l
Switches: Creamsicle Frankenswitches (Tangerine V2 Bottom/Top Housings and NK C...
Could also use like stabilizer shims if they are loose
Wait.
You should never feel the lube. That would be too much
I think I can try to run this build
I could make it sound similar
I had no tofu
Check the sound test
I like it.
ye ye
Good tone
Tofu60 v1
Tangerine with Cream stem
PC plate
Polyfill
Tray mount
GMK olivia
DAMN kbdfans has this plate on AE, just with the redux kit
I think they might just put the plate on AE for me
What goes between the pcb and the case?
Nothing
Alex is like the type of person that doesn't run like sound acoustic modifiers for the switches
So no plate foam in these builds
A man of culture
MX stuff must work nicely with no foams

I also use no foams
Doesn’t the pcb just kinda wiggle around?
Kinda
I think its held in place by the plate standoffs
I think he meant like module in the case
ah
Like it does a tiny bit but not anything too funky
it does bounce freely though depending on how tight you do it
I recommend using like a longer screw though
prob like a M2*6
rather than the 5
Why would it wiggle around?
It’s screwed into the plate
Foam doesn’t change that
^^
Oh
Lol
btw has anyone ever made the silicone pad work with a friction mount?
yes
I have
so it just works or should I cut it xd
and tenturo
It still wouldn’t wiggle around without case foam tbh

local man dies when building a keyboard
yeah would be great
Should I lol
both jades and raws??
friction mount, alu plate, silicone pad, jade knights
I wonder if its going to be too bright and loud lol @fluid ravine
best of both worlds no lmao
bro you dont understand how disorganized i am when modding LOL
that'd be interesting
hmm...honestly should just pick one rather than both
Jades and Raws don’t fit together
Fr my shit is just scattered around my desk
ohh that's nice, Im gonna try it definitely
thanks for the pic
when I run out of space on my desk I put parts on the top of my computer and then soon forget where my stuff is 😂
Nah just to have lol IDK Thats what Im debating between rn
just have to clean and lube 40 more of my frankenswitches, wait for gmk taiga to arrive and get this damn plate from kbdfans
I dont think I would put them together lol
Ok.
My lube arrives on the 13th, gonna relube all my dashes
Bag lubing springs this time
I wouldn’t get jades. Raws are so much more refined and tight. No need for jades/dash imo
The pad still fills in but it just doesn't cover the outside of the switches
Hand lubing springs was aids
which really isn't a big deal at all
I might try to attach some of poron foam to the spacebar spot while im at it
I did it to my poron plate foam as well to make the mount in and out easier
i just havent done enough trying to have a preference yet in what I want like I see the youtube and instagram ones and try and match what I want but Ik HE dont really offer what I want in switches at least
Btw I've gotten used to the 100g spacebar now 🙂
now it feels about the same as using a 60g spacebar
I told you. Just takes time. But it’s way better. Makes you realize how slow the 60g rebound was
yeah now it feels more satisfying to press the spacebar
yeah it was crazy when I compared stock jade springs to 70g/100g ones
although I did take off the 100g spring for left shift cause I kept letting go on accident with my pinky 😭
Yeah. I love it. Like someone is pressing back.
but every other one I kept
lol.
maybe one day I'll go 80g - 100g spring for the entire board xd
I love them even with the GMK caps because I have yet to misclick.
60g does feel like the perfect force for me rn tho
I’m already 100% 100g. I love it.

for the alphas
yeah ur fingers are just built diff cause I cant control the left shift no matter what 😂
It takes a week of getting used to
typing on 60g with my cerakeys feels like im typing on marshmallows
It really does
so 100g makes it more harder to press or does it feel as sensitive ?
More force required. Not necessarily harder. It is exhausting when you first start using all 100g
Still just as sensitive.
I use poron with polyfill.
poron between the PCB and PC plate?
Yes
understandable
I took the case foam from gmk67 and put moleskin tape on it lmao
@languid forge
pretty good
rate my future modding suggestion holy:
- tape mod
- poron
- polyfil
- burger mount
- aluminum case
- LUBE switches
@untold wigeon
cant get enough of the sound tests on the chair 🤣
But it isolates it so well.
I suggest going for a gummy o ring mount instead of burger mount
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh
cause it has more of a difference
true xd
but every time I look on google it confuses me
like it looks weird to put on
scares me
the wooting website I think
u could ask in general chat
https://cannonkeys.com/products/bakeneko-o-rings?_pos=1&_psq=o+ring&_ss=e&_v=1.0 this is where i got mine
it's not hard to put on
it just wraps around inbetween the pcb and plate
okok pochizo
meaning the poron foam?
yeah
its also really easy to take out
so when u mod alot
you dont have to screw it in again and again
true
I got the gummy o ring mount cause screws were driving me crazy 😭
lol
can someone suggest keycaps for wooting 60he+, I play val
keycap websites anyone?
the gummy o ring evens out the sound throughout the board
so it sounds more consistent ngl
Gummy mounting is not for thock lmao, nor does any other mounting style
is burger mount and gummy mount not even for the keyboards sound?
this is rlly just preference
It just defines on how the board will sound like if it will isolate the sound of the switches from the case and all that
hm
can u suggest some websites for keycaps
hey! I have a question
would anyone recommend ceramic keycaps for the Wooting 60HE+ ??
if u like thocc sure c:
I have them
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vl0qIUjfTU thanks @devout torrent for the link
TTC Just released some really interesting magnetic switches with some really bold claims. I had to check them out.
You can get the switches here: https://www.ipopularshop.com/products/ttc-king-of-magnetic-switch
Socials:

Referral links and dis...
doesn't affect any of the keyboard's performance?
I love them, they're nice to the touch but does take some time to get used to
nah they're just heavier on the switch
just make sure you have atleast a 60g spring on the spacebar
alright that's perfect
Like tray mount for example, the pcb makes direct contact to the case which the sound travels through it and depending on the quality of the case it will be hollow or pingy and what not. Another example is gasket mount, using little foam pads that separates the plate and pcb from making contact with the case. This isolates the sound of the switch, plate, pcb, and keycaps from the case.
yess
i can hit u up with my sound test if u want
for sure
would an aluminum case be hollow?
sounds p nice ^^
So like in conclusion, mounting styles doesn't really make a board like thock or clack, esp since not one thing can make the board like thock or clack as it depends on multiple factors)
man they are so expensive still but I am very interested in them once the bottom materials are available
would be fun to experiment with
Depending on the quality of the aluminum yes it can be hollow
Also does meaning having a poron foam between the PCB and PC plate mean I dont need burger mount?
@fluid ravine
Tofu60 Redux
Not how it works
Plate foam and burger mount are two different things
Hey Guys which are the best Mods i can do for my Wooting 60HE? The only thing i did to put WS Dash Switches in.
true
Thats all you need to do
Plate foam is a sound acoustic modifier for the switches and case foam is like a board acoustic modifier if you get what i mean
im trying to understand
Burger mount is a whole different situation, puting O'rings between screws, pcb, and case
😦 i dont know alle the Mods i can do
well yeyeye
Need me to elaborate?
ones foam between the PC plate and PCB and the other is like a plastic O ring that goes below the PCB?
Mods are for fixing or changing something you arent happy with. If you're happy, then you are done or you risk making your board sound/feel bad
Damn this geon switch plate film thing is definitely not a foam at all
Similar to tape mod for top of PCB which is not what I wanted
Meh
Plate foam just changes how the switch would sound in terms of pitch like low, mid, and high frequency pitches. (Depending on the material)
Burger mount is just using silicone o'rings to seperate the pcb and case from making direct contact
Well to answer your question yes you can use burger mount while using plate foam
My plate foam is poron, does this make it a lower frequency (thockier)?
If that's your question
yes
Yes
Poron plate foam mutes or lowers the higher tone frequencies so yes, your board will mostly rely on the mid and lower frequencies
plate foam is like EQ settings, poron reduced highs
^^
eq?
ohh ok
I'm not a big nerd in the audio space but yeah xd
lol
thackson
rate my modding ideas
- tape mod (x3)
- poron
- polyfil
- burger mount or gummy (probably gummy)
- aluminum case
- LUBE switches
I mean yeah sure that works
is that gonna make it super thocky?
I would buy the main parts and do the modding later depending on what you wanna tune or fix
I can't justify that for you
oh mah gawd I feel like such a discord mod rn
looking at wooting server
and eating a cup of ramen infront of the screen

On my current board

Custom Wood Cut For Cavity
me with my alfredo
#1173784544529363034 message @languid forge Here are my older setup configs
HOLY
this is actually the most chad mods
wtf
its like everythinhg is done
I forgot you had custom wood cut for that LOL
yea lol
how much was this @fluid ravine
oh shit uh
o lawd..
ah oh
mine is basically the price of a ps5...
Like stabs and case even the board
worth
And some I bought as well
where my rich friend at to buy me a wooting when I need it 😢
Gimme a few I'll calculate
yeye
also no plate foam?
yeah I'm not using plate foam
Has anyone tried the sticky rice switches from Everglide?
I sometime switch between no plate foam and silicone
Not recommended to use
Analog issue with the magnets
looks sick
Some people like the looks some don't not the best for sound
y
that’s what I’ve been seeing
Sometimes some people like the pure sounds of the switch and plate so they dont want anything in between the modify the sound.
for me I dont like the rounded off holes, wish they were a bit more edgy ig, but still wouldnt buy this case xd
Was thinking about this as my custom build. Holy60 with some Metal Keycaps from awekeys with the WS switches
Wait what we talking abt xd
wow that's going to be one expensive keeb
you like it raw.
oh I thought you were about holy60 lol
yessir
Placed my 60he module order yesterday 🙋🏻♂️
funny how the keycaps are going to be more expensive than the keeb itself 🤣
The world doesn’t want me to get the wooting
dude my KEYS WERE INSSANE FOR SHIPPING
That reply was for deapple on why i dont use plate foam
I SPENT SO MUCH
Yeah hahah my 3rd build. Thought it might be an interesting build
ah gotcha
im so glad I got my cerakeys at a good price 😌
ceramic keys = thocky ive heard
true or false?
indeed they r thocc
true
Yeah I own the kickstarter set on my blade 65. Very thocky
this thocky enough?
PBT keycaps do help with thock
awesome
uh
i dont think mine are double shot
not sure
They dont gotta be double shot
Oh yeah these are good
did i get a really good one?
yeah sure
I just picked the nicest looking ones
I was considering those sets back then
btw are you able to gummy mount with pcb mounted stabs?
wait
clip ins yeah
aight do tx clip ins have problems?
Like i know you can't do it with screw ins but you prob could with graveshift s o'rings (correct me if im wrong)
yes with the wooting plate
dang
so does stabies
I need some clip in recommendations 😭
cherry clip ins are goated
ok time to recommend them
even though they're "old" in terms of stems they're still pretty goated to mod, clip, and lube
from one recommendation to another c:
oh wait that's really cute lol
lol that’s cute. Nice
its awesome
someone hopped into my dms for my config xd
and they have 60he+
and I have gummy o ring mount
I have some tx ap clip ins I think
so the ywould prolly want clip ins
Sitting around
but I heard issues about some so I just asked u xD
It’s OK if you feel they are OK. If you want them to feel more lubed then put some more lube on them
Wdym
My Apple Pay works everywhere except wooting lmao
I see lol
guys i am thinking about about buying the coiled cable but i am using white rgb but i have a fully black keyboard so is it good to have some different collor or the fully black one?
I think thats 100% personal preference
yea but idk man
If you don’t have yellow in your setup, absolutely.
yea idk but the thing is idk wich to get the white one or the black one?
Black would look great imo
full black maybe you want 2 change the color
of the rgb?
ye
nah ive been using it for like a year and ist the cleanest one so i dont think so man
I would go with full white and its gonna look like the white color flows to the keyboard
already have this
White could be good as well but I’m not sure about the silver.
With the black cable it’s black at least.
I meant the cable
and it’s in contrast with your desk as well.
In an effort to reduce the incoming surge of questions regarding the stabilizer stem replacements that are included with the Gateron Jade switches when purchased directly through Wooting (see photo below), I wanted to quickly explain what they are, why you might need them, how do you install them, and which stabilizers they are compatible with.
What are they? - With popularity of long pole HE switches such as the Gateron Jade's (and all variants), GEON Raptor RAW, Neo Lavenders, etc (or any HE switch with greatly reduced travel), Wooting has included Gateron's reduced travel stabilizer stems with all Gateron Jade switch packs purchased through the official Wooting store. These are the same stems you would get if you purchased the Gateron V2 Black/Silver long pole stabilizers separately.
Do you need them? - The short answer is "it depends". The long answer is that using a long pole switch such as the Gateron Jades, may result in your spacebar not seating properly on the stabilizer stems causing the far end of your space bar to pop off when you are pushing down fully on the opposite end. If you are not pressing the spacebar on the extreme ends with higher-than-average force, then you will likely not experience any issues. Additionally, this does not affect all keycap brands equally. Higher quality keycaps with better tolerances/tighter stems often do not experience any issues, even when pressed with force on the edges of the keycap.
How do you install them? - Installation is easy and only takes a few minutes. You simply remove your current stabilizers from the keyboard, disconnect the stabilizer wire, and push the stabilizer stem out of the stabilizer housing (it will likely fall out on it's own). Be sure to note the orientation of the stabilizer stem when you remove it, so that you can insert the replacement stem the same way (the stems can be inserted incorrectly and will seem to fit but your stabilizer will not operate properly). The replacement stems do not come pre-lubed so it's advise to lightly lube them before swapping them. For tips on how to properly lube stabilizers, this is a great video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxHb6CJc9V8
Which stabilizers are compatible with the Gateron replacement stems? - At this time, we have only confirmed compatibility with the Wooting stock stabilizers (both plate mount and screw-in / PCB mount) and Gateron branded stabilizers, but they will likely work with a large number of stabilizers currently on the market. Stay tuned as we will be testing the replacement stems with other stabilizers and updating the compatibility list.
Added to FAQ as well
I don't understand why Wooting doesn't offer a red design
@fluid ravine what if I vinyl wrapped some part of my case 🤔
also a plot to hide some of the scratches on my case lol...
so wich do you thinnk?
wait, ive never thought abt that
Black, personally.
black.
like vinyl wrap a pattern or smth
I could add like a stripe across the keyboard or smth
that could work
oo
is there a company that sells prelubed switches that is actually good or will i have to lube myself for them to sound good
So wooting is planning to release their own long pole stems to fix the stabilizer issue with the switches
Wooting worked with Gateron to include the Gateron long pole stabilizer stems along with the Jade switches, for almost no additional cost.
Ah
Wait so we can't buy them seperately?
You can buy them from gateron directly. Just order the black/silver stabs
oh ok i see
Wooting uses the long pole gateron stabs by default is what your saying?
Why would they use a long pole stabilizers by default when Lekkers aren't long pole switches? I'm not sure how you deduced that from the post.

What do I need to search to have rgb shine through the keycaps to illuminate the letters? I’m assuming most keycaps are solid color by default
shine through is the phrase you would search for
take your time trust me lmaoo
make sure you dont get air bubbles
you think I could make stripes across an alu case?
def yes
make sure you buy a squeege
was thinking of just buying this kit https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BX48638F/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A3PHJAWTNC9IV5&psc=1
thats good youll have a knife to cut
make sure you level your cuts
make them straight
It’s easy, I vinyl wrapped my old audio interface with carbon fiber vinyl
Im thinking about it
either
carbon fiber or matte black
🤔
Just get a sharp knife like an xacto
comes with the kit hes getting
Oh okay

@calm pulsar
eh i think i'll just go for matte black and matte pearl white
Little bit of leakage for sure. Idk if it’s any diff than my raptor/lekkers tho
I also oiled the hell out of the springs FWIW
That is an advantage that a lot of people don't mention enough about switches like the Jades. You won't end up with any small pools of lube on your PCB over time.
How I actually hold the screwdriver for most of the PCB assembly type stuff
True.
Good point
Just wondering where you got the switch pad from?
would anyone happen to know if ceramic keycaps would work good on the 80he or would they be to heavy
or any good brands that make green keycaps to use?
i want something to try to match my mouse if possible
Based. Speed: 700, torque: 10
might sound like a fan boy for saying this but the ltt screw driver is a personal must for me when it comes to anything involving tech
GMK has a ton of green options
thank you very much for the info ill take a look
sadly the green im seeing on their site is a different shade then my mouse been searching for awhile now i feel like its gona be hard for me to find an exact match
Ar there better Plates then the Stock Plate in 60HE+?
what site you’re looking at ?
thats my mouse looking for that color of green in keycaps
i was looking at gmkkeycap.com
these are fakes
np np
do you happen to have a link for the real site by chance?
thank you very much
here’s a vendor list, cause gmk can’t really be bought at one website, they are limited batches usually, so they are sold at different vendors
ahhh that makes sense
that's really dope to see
Yeah if anything it ends up on the plate around the housings
Am I holding it correctly?
Other way
Grab the stem with it
If you grab it just right the stem will get pulled into the pen
I'm kidding
lol kinda thought so
Your pillow, teddy bear, blankie, etc
Geon product
It’s not a pad tho
I expected foam. More of a laminate
Cam idk what or where to buy my gummy o ring
You can get polyfill on Amazon and can get a gummy o ring off Graveshift
Kilmat
Vs poly fill
M for medium! These are standard sized to fit most 65% keyboards as well as some 60%. PLEASE READ THE CHART BELOW FIRST! There is also a chart for you to see if your board is on our checked list. If it is not on our chart, we do not recommend buying it, and you are buying at your own risk. If you are located in Canada,
? this one? exactly?
what number
Are you using clips in or plate mount
idk what that means
very new to this
Stabilizers
I bought the wooting 60he module
Using stock stabilizers?
well
I was going to follow this mod guide:
Cheap Mods:
Tempest Mod - Blue Painter's Tape (Increases Loudness, Adds Little Poppy Sound Profile)
Polyfill (Instead of Case Foam, Sounds Amazing)
Gummy O-Ring Friction Mount (Bakaneko60 or Graveshift M 30a-50a)
TX AP Stabilizers (Best stabilizer change you can get in the market)
Lubing Switches (Krytox GPL205g0 for Stem and Housing, GPL105 for Springs - for springs see bag lubing)
PC Plate for Thock, Aluminium Plate for Clack, but im odd so i love FR4 - it looks amazing :3
Moderate Mods:
ONE OF THE CLEAR WINNERS FOR BETTER SOUND
Switch Swapping ( If you care about the sound, I suggest Gateron Magnetic Jade Switches)
and it says to get TX AP Stabilizers
but rn Im using stock
Oh I know what video that’s from, don’t get TX AP though
Oh flip
okokok
If you’re going to use screw in stabilizers then get an S-size oring, if you’re going to use clip ins or plate mount stabilizers then get M-size
whats the difference in the two stabs?
Just small design differences but the stock ones are fine, if you want to replace them, then I recommend swagkeys knights stabilizers or cherry clip ins
so if I use stock stabs I should buy Small size gummy o rings?
Ill go stock
The reason I say not to get tx ap is because their PCB mount variants are too thick to fit in wooting plates and you may have issues installing them or getting keycaps to return
fair
dont wanna risk anything
and I want it to be an easy build
how do I know which is the small Size?
M for medium! These are standard sized to fit most 65% keyboards as well as some 60%. PLEASE READ THE CHART BELOW FIRST! There is also a chart for you to see if your board is on our checked list. If it is not on our chart, we do not recommend buying it, and you are buying at your own risk. If you are located in Canada,
It should state S-size or M-size
Well those are clearly M size 😂
idk it says nothing
S for small and more importantly... Screw in Stabilizers! These are intentionally thinner than your normal o-rings to allow the use of the screw in stabs on the backspace and spacebar. PLEASE READ THE CHART BELOW FIRST! Please only buy this o-ring if you are using screw in stabilizers for your 60% keyboard. There is
S o-rings
ok you got me there lmao
what does 30a mean
or 35a mean
what should I do?
does the hardness level affec the sound?
i have this keycap set otw. struggling to decide between an anodized black or anodized dark purple tofu60 case. thoughts?
Maybe slightly, haven’t tested it , just changes the stiffness of the board really
is the only reason for gummy o rings for the stiffness of the board?
Well the black will be more versatile in the future if you want to change keycaps 🙂
It’s to change the mounting style and create a more consistent sound profile across the entire board
okok
so ill just got for like
35a
cuz I got no idea
is that a safe option?
Im looking to mod my 60he, im going to go for a tofuredux and pbt keycaps, will also lube the switches. Is there anything else i should do while its apart to improve sound? Im looking for a deeper creamy sound
Yeah anything between 30-50a are safe options
cool
SO
this was very helpful
BUT
Idk how to install it on
it goes inbetween the PC plate and the PCB?
It’s easy, you simply wrap it around the module
like the poron foam
It’ll fit between the plate and the PCB
It works with the foam pad but not the silicone
what if I have poron foam
yeah i dont want the silicone
I want foam its more thocky
that's the main factor swaying my decision towards black tbf, probably the safest bet
Lube the stabs 🙂
Yeah, just wrap it around the fully built module
is there a video demostration?
I cant find one
that would be awesome
Oh i never even thought of that, what are the best keycaps/material to achieve the creamy sound?
Cam
look at this video
Yes you CAN gummy o-ring mount the new Wooting 60HE+ Module, but it means you're gonna need to switch to clip-in stabs. I used TX Stabs 6.24 1.6mm for this. Check out the full video with all the new Wooting options if you haven't already.
#customkeyboard #gamingkeyboard #wooting #module
Yeah
^ he says the stock screw in stabs are not compadible with the gummy
hes dumb?
No
He’s just using the wrong size
ooooooh
I would think the switches make more of a difference unless it's something like ceramic keycaps
hes using M?
so I wrap gummy o ring around the PCB
Yessir
aah
I need a video
just to make sure I dont do something wrong
ima keep looking
Got it, i do like the switches i the 60he came with, just wondering if theres a specific foam, or materials for case/keycaps. Tysm for the advice
Never modded before this is my first time, thanks!
@harsh dove
The Tofu, the mechanical keyboard that everyone has heard of. Love it or hate it, the tofu has cemented itself as one of THE beginner boards within the hobby. With more and more options for beginners popping up, can it still be relevant? With this mod utilizing a Gummy O Ring and a special PCB, I genuinely think it still holds its place as a gre...
go to 3:34
is this what I would basically do
it just looks like he wraps it around his Foam
👍
Actually attached the kilmat to the case finally and switched to the softest tadpoles
so it is wrapped around the foam
Yes
👍
u helped me A LOT
TY!
I just gotta buy Lube now
should I lube my stabalizers or just my switches? or both?
Both
from this guide for modding
it says different lube for switches different lube for stabs
true or na
Just lube the switches with 205g0 and the stabilizer stems and housing with 205g0, use something thicker like dielectric grease on stabilizer wires
And can get lube for the springs too or just lube them lightly with 205g0
If you want to do more, then it’s grease for stem and oil for spring usually.
i heard put them in a lube bag
That’s what’s up
where can I buy it from?
Wooting store
I bought the Wooting lube kit and it gave me pretty much everything I needed
ahhh
i shoulda bought that alongside my other stuff
damn
gonna take forever to ship prolly
real
They have those ready on standby
TRUE
actually
yeah nobody is mass buying lube from wooting
only the keyboards
ill be fine
should I buy the switch tool set as well? @polar girder
Hey guys what are your favorite keycap formats for gaming? I think I would prefer wider keycaps in general but my hand size is 9x18 ?
kk
idek what this means
I guess like profiles ?
SA is cool
ask bigsly
so double checking bigsly
everything I need for lubing would be in the wooting lubing set?
Except for oil for springs if you want to bag lube them
what kinda oil would I use for springs?
Is what I use
does lubing the springs even matter?
does it make a big sound difference?
I just want it mega thocky
Reduces spring ping and maybe makes them smoother
Yeah I like it
is the coiled cable worth buying other then looks?
i heard it affects the keyboard negatively or something
It’s purely for aesthetics , just make sure it works with tachyon mode if you use that feature
yea the one form wooting will propably richt?
what does the hardness do for the gummy mount do again
Yes, wooting cables are guaranteed to work with tachyon mode, even the coiled ones
and is there something i can do to upgrade to get better performance
Change how stiff the typing feel is
For cables? No
it doesn't matter for what
ill go 35a cuz the cables pink
i have jades and pc plate and tofu and lubed stabs
No, you just want one that works with tachyon mode for best performance really.
and how about the quality of the cable then?
Dyslexia
Lekker owner here and a question for the modding pros here: love the keyboard and color palette!
I would like to have some high quality keycaps with the same color pallete but translucent characters so the light shines trough them like my sherry MX board. Are there any recommendations or things I need to be aware of if I would try to order them from a custom keycap shop!?
Bonus mile would be a custom snackbar replacement!! thanks in advance for your tips!
cam
a problem
the shipping on the gummy mount is $70
AUD
any other cheaper gummy mounts?
What do you mean?
the quality of the coiled cable
like how does it feel compared to the stock wooting cable
I mean stock wooting cables are good quality
like it should be PRETTY good for the price right?
If you want higher end then I get cables from WiredIn
Yeah
Can try bakeneko or looking for one on Amazon or AliExpress
so you think its worth it then?
These?
How do I know there a small size?
like i cant let my keyboard look so clean and use that cable
and for the people from eu where do you get keebmats from?
The wooting cable kit?
yea
Actually forgot those are medium size dimensions basically
Essentially you need the same dimensions just not as thick
I think those are about 3.5mm CS
what do you think?
Yeah it’s a solid kit
ok thanks are you from the eu?
CS(Thickness) 3.53mm
ID(Inner Diameter) 177.39mm
OD(Outer Diameter) 184.45mm
Look for these sizes but try to see if you can find about 2.5 - 3.0mm CS
@harsh dove are you from the eu?
No
shit
confusing me
do you know where to get a keebmat in eu?
Cam
I have this
but on the website idk where it says that stuff your asking
If I get:
- 30a
- Bakeneko 60
is this going to fit my wooting 60he?
yes
Not all websites list it
Is this any better for shipping?
you need size M for wooting
Not for screw in stabs
Cams been helping this guy for hours. He’s got it lol
does somoene know where to get a keebmat
don't tell me what to do
I didn’t?
I’ll look
thanks man
You can’t get one from official store in EU?
Or is shipping high?
How far out does the gasket sit? I feel like my module would still flop around
Only pic I have really
Can see the yellow
But it sticks out more around the stabs
And grips the walls of the case
Thats oem keycaps?
GMK Olivia
Is it pressure fit or is it sitting on the rubber?
How do you mean
on the sides too cause of the standoffs, at least it's like that for me
Like is the rubber pressing on the sides of the case?
Yes all around
Oh ok. I think the gold accent is throwing me off. It looks like there is more room than there actually is
i cant find any and i cant buy them from the official store
I got all of this what else should I get to make it sound thocky?
Yeah for the alumaze that is kind of the case, but it works fine, the module isn’t loose but the gold accent can move a tiny bit but it won’t fall out or anything
