ya the tolerance and lube job is really good, im not get any spring noise with my raw he, feel really good and like how sound with gmk keycaps, silcon switch pad and pc plate. waiting on fr4 and pom plates to come in to test out, still might get carbon fiber plate for testing as well. probably going to try the poron switch foam too.

Ok i just finished lubing my alphas

and im not gonna lie, even though i know the lube needs to break in and everything

i prefer this to be stock with the factory lube and everything

I think this switches factory lubed is already good enough so this is honestly a good pick up if you like the sound and travel distance and everything without having to lube them

new batches with the improvements like spring, mold, and lube proven its point. Ima just lube the springs just incase but while i had them stock there wasnt any spring noises coming from my set

I would use either or rather than both. With O-Ring getting 5-6mm M2 screws is easier.

The provided 4mm screws are quite short when you want to burger mount with actual O-Rings.

There are pros and cons to ABS vs PBT and also GMK vs clones. In the end I prefer ABS keycaps and I don't mind paying more for GMK because of the material quality, legend quality, they pay royalties to the designers, they pay a living wage to their employees, and they are an important part of why the hobby is doing so well.

My reasoning:
The more layouts a set supports, the more potential customers it has. The question is to what extent is it worth to support.
Thirty-five hundred sets is what he’s currently planning.
With the popularity of compact 65% keyboard (which includes compact 75% and 100%), I think supporting those layouts would be very worth it, hence my suggestion. FYI: Yes, compact (65%) boards are very popular despite them being “gaming layouts” and no, 65% is not “my layout”, I use a HM66 and a 60HE.

I think we can both learn from this and it shouldn’t be just another argument.
What could I have done differently that wouldn’t stress out Geon and what made me come across as demanding rather than suggesting?

The reason I reacted like I did to your message here, is because I believe if you genuinely wanted to point that out to me, you’d do so in DMs or in that specific server and truthfully stating what I said to others. I find that a respectful way to approach something like that. I don’t know why you chose to post that here but it came across to me as instigating or with dishonest intent. Have a question guys, so I love the sticky rice switches sound. If they aren’t compatible, what is the next best switch that sounds similar and thockier? I wounder if its those 12 small points that are glide rails for the stem that is apart of the top housing. Goen video had really good break down of the design. its same thing kailh mistral switches have but they only 8 guide rail points part of top housing. Its supposed to help with stem wobble. thats what kailh and goen say. those points/guide rail are much larger on the mistral switches then the raws. i notice mistral switch was very rough n scratchy till i lubed the stem n top housing them much smoother and quiter now. I do notice the raw he has tighter tolerences maybe need break in some or more lube. I have hand lube mine yet since tehy are so nice stock, but i got a spare 90plus to play with until my 80he shows up.

When they were tested, they caused the keys to be rapidly actuated without touching them. It’s most likely a compatibility issue rather than a fault with those switches.

I haven’t yet had prelubed switches that were lubed as good as one would achieve lubing by hand. Maybe someday though. 😊
