Disassemble and balance the wire, see if that helps. Long pole stabs aren’t necessary with Jades (with most keycaps). I’d wait and see if you have issues before buying stabs and if any stabs, not TX. 😂

I’d try to balance the wire, see if that help. If it’s the stab rattling in the plate; a piece of tape in between the stabilizer housing and plate. Then you could get TX APs but I don’t know if they fit well, and how bad it is if they don’t.

I don’t think so but again @unreal stone, you only need long poles with certain 3rd party keycaps. Some keycaps have loose tolerances so they already don’t sit tight on the switch and stabilizer stems which can cause them to pop off with 3.5mm switches.

Yeah, with those keycaps you don’t need long pole stabs. So if you don’t plan on getting other keycaps anytime soon, just balance the wire and if that doesn’t help go with Durock V3 plate mounts (and preferably some lube to go with that).

I can say at least I have decided on a blackout build. So wooting 60he+ module, wooting black pc plate, switches was between black jades and black knights. Decided on black knights cuz the name sounds cooler. Black Tofu60 Refux with Brass bar. I like minimal and every other case was weird looking. I think that’s everything. The keycaps well yeah.

Honestly, just to keep it as simple as possible, from my take, if you want thock throughout the switch and keycap in your wooting, i would go for a neutral sounding HE switch, like the open bottom housing KS20 (preferablly the Lekker v2 or the KS20u to avoid the shitty stem wobbles), and for keycaps something standard like good quality thick pbt or even dye sub pbt. If you want something more unique then ceramic fo sho.

Nice simple build, but tape mod should be experimented with, cus you might or might not like the tape mod, and i would go for one case foam, you dont want your pcb and case to be PACKED with case foam, could also over heat the pcb by chance.

They show it a bit on their site, it seems like they have a custom silicone plate for between the pcb and plate that you install, then kinda mount it in the case as if it was o ring friction mounted but instead of a ring all the way around the silicone pad has spots it sticks out to go into cutouts in the case where it can act as a gasket mount

Case foam is mostly used to adjust the sound in the case, like removing any hollowness or just modifying the sound of the sound bouncing in the case. Plate foam and sheets are like a switch sound modifier, adjusting or tuning the sound of the switch when bottoming out.

I use the White KS-20’s stem and the White Latenpow’s housing and although the top housing is different from the Raptors, I doubt there’s a real difference in tolerances. Maybe just luck :/

My buddy brought his 60he with him into town so I got to try jades out in my tofu build and they sounded amazing

I was sold on the jades then and there

They sounded way deeper in my tofu build than I thought they would

yeah I love them in the tofu as well, do you use the oring friction mount in your tofu?

I found it made the spacebar sound super consistent

Basically 0 contact that isn't dampened

Just tape over the standoffs?

I'm using just a touch of poly-fil in my salvation rn for the same reason, gonna try it with and without when I do the mx build

Put a few layers on standoffs and anywhere the PCB might have contact
