no I haven't noticed any issues myself. I can type just as well on this as other keebs maybe a bit better cause it's softer. I did screw mine in fully instead of half way like some mx build vids suggested but I put a little oring around the screw above the pcb and a rubber cover I got with the tofu over the 2 metal standoffs you screw into. It still flexes like I showed in a video in here yesterday but probably not as much as it can if you loosen it

but I like this more than my tofu just based on the typing feel alone, the sound is pretty similar but you can tweak it a lot I tried some poly-fil in it and the diff case foams, silicone and poly-fil kinda slaps

but the orings on the screws and just the poron plate foam also sounds great

yeah so if you just get the case it comes with an fr4 plate but that doesn't fit, so you'll use the wooting PCB and Plate and switches obviously

you'll build the case by screwing the leaf springs into the base with a poron pad half way in the space below, they're all marked with a dot. Screw those in really tight (Cam suggests using some purple loctite, I haven't gotten around to that yet), then either use the 2 included hex screws or 2 screws from your wooting to screw the top 2 screws down into the case. There's plenty of build videos you can watch to explain it better, just follow what they do but put your wooting pcb/plate in instead @small canyon

another thing you can try if you want to lower the typing angle is to fill the case with poly-fil, when I did just a bit I found that it kind of raised the front edge a bit, not enough that I needed to really compress it into the case but it made the bottom row a bit springier and sat a bit higher

I recently pre-ordered the Wooting 80HE in Zinc Alloy White.

In preparation for this, I was just wondering whether anyone knew if installing metal keycaps would affect the magnetic switches or performance in any way? I am looking at purchasing a set of copper keycaps.

Copper is diamagnetic and therefore does react weakly to nearby magnetic fields. Titanium and brass (non-magnetic) are also available but are a little out of my price range.

Despite really enjoying the look, sound and feel of metal keycaps; the performance is my first and foremost priority. If anyone has any experience or information on this topic I would find it really helpful, as I do not want to affect my premium keyboard's performance unknowingly.

Any advice or recommendations for better suited materials would be really helpful.

As far as the testing goes for different materials, I'm not sure if copper would affect the magnetic fields or not, esp if it's just plated. I know Alexotos has used Awekeys Metal keycaps with HE switches, but it was more of a sound test than a performance test.

I think might be referring to the previous GBs of Bias and Synovia which were outsourced to China. FWIW I knew about the fiasco before rolling the dice, mine is made in Finland and is immaculate. But definitely caveat emptor, as it took an incredulously long time to ship for an in-stock drop.
